Welcome to the Maister Location Guide for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
In this short guide we will list the locations of all Vocation Maisters in DD2. Maisters are NPCs with mastery over Vocations, and must be visited to unlock certain Vocations and/or obtain the Mastery Skills of your Vocation. Usually you will need to complete one or more quests to unlock Vocations and Mastery Skills.
DD2 All Maister Locations
Below are the locations of all Maisters in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You can click the links for each Maister to learn more about where to find them and how to unlock their Vocation (where applicable).
- Fighter: Lennart
- Archer: Taliesen
- Thief: Flaude/Srail
- Mage: Eini
- Warrior: Beren
- Sorcerer: Trysha/Myrddin
- Magick Archer: Cliodhna
- Mystic Spearhand: Sigurd
- Trickster: Luz
- Warfarer: Lamond
Fighter Maister: Lennart
Lennart is the Maister for the Fighter Vocation. Fighter is one of the four base Vocations in DD2, and is available from the start of the game. This means there is no unlock quest associated with the Fighter class, however there are still Mastery Skills that can be learned from Lennart once he approves of you enough.
Lennart can be found in the centre of Melve village.
Archer Maister: Taliesen
Taliesen is the Maister for the Archer Vocation. Archer is one of the four base Vocations in DD2, and is available from the start of the game.
Taliesen can be found in Sacred Arbor.
Thief Maister: Flaude/Srail
There are two maisters for the Thief Vocation, due to story reasons. We won’t spoil it as you will find out for yourself when you progress these quests. Thief is one of the four base Vocations in DD2, and is available from the start of the game.
Both can be found in the manor in Nameless Village.
Mage Maister: Eini
Eini is the Maister for the Mage Vocation. Mage is one of the four base Vocations in DD2, and is available from the start of the game.
You can find Eini in her home on the northern edge of the map, directly north of Melve.
Warrior Maister: Beren
Beren is the Maister for the Warrior Vocation. The Warrior is one of the first Vocations you can unlock in DD2, however it is not unlocked by visiting Beren. You can start the quest to unlock the Warrior by visiting the Guild Hall in Vermund. More info: How to Unlock the Warrior Guide.
Beren can be found in the Borderwatch Outpost training some troops. Later on, he relocates to his home near Checkpoint Rest.
Sorcerer Maisters: Trysha & Myrddin
There are two Maisters for the Sorcerer Vocation – Trysha and Myrddin. Like Warrior, Sorcerer can be unlocked very early in your playthrough by starting the quest given out from the Vermund Guild Hall. More info: How to Unlock the Sorcerer Guide.
Trysha can be found on the northern edge of the map, near the Mage Maister Eini.
Myrddin on the other hand lives down in Checkpoint Rest.
Magick Archer Maister: Cliodhna
Cliodhna is the Maister for the Magick Archer Vocation. You can unlock Magick Archer by completing a quest. Later on, she can also teach you Mastery Skills for the Magick Archer Vocation. More info: How to Unlock the Magick Archer Guide.
Cliodhna lives in the Windwalker’s Home in the northwestern corner of Volcanic Island.
Mystic Spearhand Maister: Sigurd
Sigurd is the Maister for the Mystic Spearhand Vocation. He can be recognised from a distance by his cloaked figure and large duospear. The requirements for unlocking Mystic Spearhand are very easy – you simply need to reach a certain point in the main story. However, the difficult part is actually finding Sigurd, as he tends to move around the map quite a bit. However, there are three locations where he is most likely to appear:
- In Melve, immediately after fending off the dragon. This is usually the earliest point that you can meet Sigurd.
- In Harve Village, where he lives when he’s not travelling.
- At Dragonsbreath Tower

Trickster Maister: Luz
Luz is the Maister for the Trickster Vocation. Luz is your go-to character for both unlocking the Trickster and unlocking Trickster Mastery Skills. There is no prerequisite for unlocking the Trickster other than finding a way into Battahl, either by progressing the main story for a “legal” way of entering, or sneaking over the border with the much more dangerous side route.

She can be found in the Revenant Shrine in northern Battahl.
Warfarer Maister: Lamond
Lamond is the Maister for the Warfarer Vocation. Warfarer is a special Vocation in DD2 that allows you to combine weapons and skills from several other Vocations to create something similar to a custom class. To unlock Warfarer you must first find Lamond and complete a quest.

Lamond is found in the Hot Springs just to the south of Volcanic Island Camp.
