Corrections Policy

At Alcasthq.com, we understand that accuracy matters, not just for SEO or professionalism, but because real players rely on our builds and guides to clear content, optimize their characters, and stay competitive. If we ever get something wrong, we fix it fast, and we own it.

Why Corrections Matter

MMOs like The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) change constantly. Skills get adjusted, gear gets nerfed, new mechanics roll out, and what worked last patch might be off today. That’s why we treat every guide and build as a living piece of content that deserves attention and maintenance every new cylce/patch.

How We Handle Corrections

If a factual or mechanical error is found, we take the following steps:

  • Update the content: We correct the affected section of the build, guide, or overview page.
  • Note the change: If it significantly affects performance or strategy, we include an “Updated on…” notice in the changelog section of the popular builds.
  • Audit-related content: We double-check other pages that may be impacted by the same update or mistake.

We treat minor issues (e.g., typos, small formatting bugs) as routine fixes. Major corrections (e.g., incorrect skill orders, outdated CP allocations) are handled with full visibility.

How to Report an Issue

We welcome feedback and bug reports from our community. You can help us improve by reporting:

  • Outdated or incorrect builds
  • Wrong gear or skill recommendations
  • Issues with patch-related changes
  • Broken visuals or tooltips
  • General feedback

The best way to report an issue is through our Discord server in the #feedback channel.

Live Game vs. PTS Accuracy

We often begin content planning and build development during the Public Test Server (PTS) cycle. While this gives us time to prepare for major updates, our final published builds are always revised after the live patch drops. We clearly label any content based on PTS data, and we prioritize updates post-launch to ensure accuracy on live servers.

We Don’t Wait for Feedback to Fix Things

Most of our updates and corrections happen before anyone has to ask. Every patch triggers a full review of our top-tier builds, and anything that’s out-of-date or no longer viable is either updated or retired. We also re-test content regularly and proactively maintain high-traffic pages.

That said, if something slips through, we want to know. And we’ll fix it quickly.

Transparency & Trust

Corrections are part of our larger commitment to accuracy and transparency. For more on how we work, how we’re funded, and who’s behind the content, see the following pages:
