Updated: Markarth DLC, Greymoor Chapter
Type: Dungeon, Trial, Arena & Overland

Table of Contents

Welcome to the 2H Stamina Sorcerer Build for ESO. This build is optimized for group content such as dungeons, trials & arenas and has a very glass-cannon approach. The 2H Stamina Sorcerer build is optimized for maximum damage. The build works best in a group but with some minor adjustments can also be played as a solo setup if necessary.

Stamina Sorcerers are very powerful two-hander users which benefit a lot from Sorcerer passives. The passive Energized alone increases your overall damage by quite a bit and the passive Amplitude gives you another powerful damage boost early in combat. You also benefit from less expensive ultimate cost due to the Power Stone passive.

  • Two Hander & Bow setup
  • Insane single target (ST) damage
  • Insane area of effect (AoE) damage
  • Crazy splash damage
  • Dungeon, Trial & Arena Build

It is also recommended to read the Stamina Sorcerer Beginner Guide if you are a new player. You can find more Sorcerer Builds & Guides in the Sorcerer category of the website.

Important Info – 2H Stamina Sorcerer Build

I do recommend using the Artaeum Takeaway Broth or the Dubious Camoran Throne buff-food. Buff-food is very important because it boosts your overall resources by a lot.

Artaeum Takeaway Brooth
(Max Health, Max Stamina, Stamina Recovery, Health Recovery)

(or Dubious Camoran Throne Drink)
(Max Health, Max Stamina, Stamina Recovery)

Food buff

Mundus Stone

The Shadow (Increased Critical Damage)

If you want to learn more about the different racial passives that each race offers, check out the Race Guide which explains everything in detail. If you want a complete overview of all races and racial passives, then I recommend checking out the ESO Races Overview page.

Orc (with Artaeum Food)
Khajiit (with Artaeum Food)
Dark Elf (with Artaeum Food)
Nord (with Artaeum Food)
Redguard (with Blue Food)
Wood Elf (with Blue Food)
Imperial (with Artaeum Food)

Potions are an important part of the 2H Stamina Sorcerer build, they apply very powerful buffs and extra resources to your character. Potions benefit from the Alchemy passive Medicinal Use, make sure to always have that passive active.

Weapon Power Potions
(Weap dmg, Weap Crit, Stamina)
(Blessed Thistle, Dragonthorn, Wormwood)

Essence of Weapon Power Potion new ESO

Poisons increase your overall damage, therefore they are also an important part of the build. However, they are less important than potions.

Damage Health Poison
(Damage Poison, Damage Poison)
(Fleshfly Larva, Nightshade, Nirnroot)

Resource Management

Using the Artaeum Buff Food already gives us a lot of extra stamina recovery that we need. During the fight healers or tanks will throw Energy Orb that you can synergize to get back resources, these are very important!

Other than that you have to use potions on cooldown to give you a huge amount of stamina back and you can always perform some heavy attacks throughout the fight to restore stamina. If you have all these things you should be fine with sustain, just don’t forget to do heavy attacks when you drop low on stamina.

  • Artaeum Takeaway Brooth
  • Orbs or Spears from Healers
  • Heavy Attacks resource return (optional)
  • Potions

In case you don’t know what what weaving light attacks are, make sure to check out the “Weaving Beginner Guide” which explains how to weave light attacks between abilities, aka animation canceling.

Prebuff with: Hurricane and Bound Armaments

Endless Hail > LA > Hurricane > Weapon Swap

LA > Barbed Trap > 11x Crystal Weapon (with LA) > Weapon Swap

  • LA = Light Attack
  • Activate Bound Armaments when it is ready
  • Use Reverse Slice instead of Crystal Weapon from 25% enemy HP

AoE Setup

The AoE setup of the 2H Stamina Sorcerer Build is more straight forward. Trash packs don’t live for a very long time, anything that provides us with extra burst damage is useful, therefore we use sets like Mechanical Acuity and New Moon Acolyte as well as the very powerful Perfected Titanic Cleave.
