Welcome to the Best Beginner Build guide for Dune Awakening.  The main purpose of this build is prioritizing our movement vertically and horizontally because the map size in Dune Awakening is massive. This build focuses on flexible and rapid movement which will save us a lot of time exploring the map. While serving that purpose, this build will also have high damage that compliments the ability to move in close to our targets very fast. We will prioritize weapons like the shotgun and add in perks that will ramp up its ability to max out our damage. This will ultimately make this Best Beginner Build in Dune Awakening due to being highly efficient.

When you make a character, I recommend choosing the Bene Gesserit for the best early game passives and early mobility it offers. Ultimately you will be able to unlock all classes and skills and can always respect, so your starting choice only limits what you’ll have access to early game. The Trooper is easy to unlock very early on, so it’s the only class you shouldn’t pick at the start.

Skills

Your skill progression is important for the mobility aspect of this build and then the combat portion as we level up. For starters, we will focus on enhancing our mobility and supplement damage as we have more skill points come available. Early on we will be unlocking The Trooper and The Planetologist to access a mobility skill in each tree for this build. Both of these classes are unlocked in the first zone. If you chose Benne Gesserit, then you will also have Bindu Sprint available once you’ve unlocked 3 skill choices.

Skill Builder for: The Best Beginner Build for Dune Awakening

Early Game

Shigawire Claw should always be on your bar for mobility.  Suspensor Pad is only needed to swap in when traversing high vertical sections of the map.  Bindu Sprint is a conveinant travel tool for long horizontal stretches when you’re not on a vehicle.  As a result, you can swap out Suspensor Pad and Bindu Sprint when you’re in combat situations if needed.  Early on, I would prioritize passives in Planetologist and Survival Perks.

Mid Game

Most of your skill points will be put towards passives with this build.  Early on its most efficient to take 1 level of a skill rather than maxing the passive out before taking others.  Therefore, as you are able to unlock more classes early on, you can access a wider range of passives.  For combat situations, I would take the Trooper’s Explosive Grenade or Assault Seeker for intermittent damage and AOE options such as combat inside Testing Stations.  Other Anti-gravity grenades are a good option to freeze targets from closing in on you too fast as well.

Beyond that, you want to prioritize passives such as Mentat’s headshot bonuses.  These passives will add a lot of potential damage to your shotgun ensuring quick kills.  Other survival passives such as Max health, stam, or energy or healing passives should also be filled out and taken at this stage from Swordmaster, Trooper, or Bene Gesserit.

Late Game

Later on you will fill out all combat and survival passives and just slot gap closers along with Shigawire Claw as needed.  Weirding Step wis a gap closer that teleports you behind the target and stuns them, allowing for an easy head shot.  Knee Charge is a gap closer that stuns the target and also delivers damage, allowing an easy head shot with the Shotgun as well.  In both cases, these skills are low cooldown like Shigawire, allowing you to rotate quick skill use to traverse the area delivering point blank shots.

Beyond our active skills we will work on filling out passive trees and maxing out our survival and damage passives.

Equipment

Below we will take a look at equipment you should prioritize for the Best Beginner Build in Dune Awakening.  There are also various unique blueprints that can be acquired and can elevate the effectiveness, such as a unique suspensor belt allowing us to travel farther or a unique shotgun that has a larger magazine.

Weapons

We will look to focus on using the shotgun and other short range weapons. The first available Shotgun is the GRDA 44 available at Iron technology. The Disruptor is a good early game option as well for breaking shielded foes also available in the Iron tech. This is an automatic weapon that will be replaced later on by the Drillshot FK7, which is a shotgun built to break shielded weapons from mid range. These 2 shotguns will ultimately be our 1-2 punch combo. You can also swap in rifle for longer range engagements or if you prefer you could work this build for melee gameplay and restructure skills.

Any unique weapons acquired through blueprints will be updated below with direction on where to obtain it:

Armor

For armor we will choose heavy armor options. You have heavy armor, a medium level armor, or the still-suit for exploration which is a light. We will be up close and personal and heavy armor will allow us to bullrush all situations the best. If you leverage your Holtzman Shield though you can use other pieces of armor while leveling up as well.

Tools

Our Suspensor Belts and Power Packs will be important for our mobility in this build. The first suspensor belt is passive, so we will be specifically locating The Emperor’s Wing Mk1 early on for mobility. As you upgrade technology you will access other suspensor belts that will allow you to traverse farther at the cost of more energy. There will be unique blueprints that may make traveling more efficient or cheaper for the power.

Your power pack will need to be upgraded because you will have more max power per level and regen as you advance it. There are unique power packs that will help you regenerate faster as well that are worth looking into as well.

Any unique tools acquired through blueprints will be updated below with direction on where to obtain it:
