Do you want to know how to level Alchemy in ESO? Welcome to the Alchemy Leveling Guide! In this Alchemy Leveling Guide I will explain how to level up your Alchemy level fast and efficiently and how you can discover all the traits of the flowers. To level up Alchemy successfully in ESO I would recommend preparing everything first, especially if you also want to discover all the traits. If you just want to get to the max level, you can level Alchemy up with some of the cheap flowers that exist in ESO. Overview:
- What is Alchemy

What is Alchemy in ESO
Alchemy is used to craft powerful Potions and Poisons that can be used in combat. To craft them you need to farm Reagents (Flowers) and Solvents.
How do I level up Alchemy
Inspiration
All crafting skill lines are leveled up via the gain of “Inspiration”, which is the “crafting experience”. Inspiration gain can’t be increased with Ambrosia Drinks, Crown Experience Scrolls or other experience-boosting methods. There are only two ways to increase inspiration gain:
- 10% ESO Plus Membership
- 30% “Inspiration Boost” Champion Point Passive (acquired by spending 45 Champion Points in the green Craft tree. Place points like this: 10 Breakfall, 15 Wanderer, 10 Fortune’s Favor, 45 Inspiration. That means you need to have a total of 240 Champion Points to get to the 30%.)
Leveling Alchemy
There is only one way to level up Alchemy, all you need to do is craft potions or poisons. I do recommend farming or buying cheap flowers and then crafting potions till you can invest another point in the Solvent Proficiency and get higher-quality Solvents. Keep using the same flowers but just change the Solvents and you will be level 50 in 15 minutes. Amount of Solvents needed to level up Alchemy (without any experience boost):
- 22 Natural Water
- 43 Pristine Water
- 48 Cleansed Water
- 60 Filtered Water
- 66 Purified Water
- 20 Cloud Mist
- 0 Star Dew
- 0 Lorkhan’s Tears
You will need about 520 Flowers in total to get Alchemy from level 1 to level 50. Make sure to just buy a combination of the two cheapest flowers that you can craft a potion with.
Alchemy Solvents and Reagents
Now let’s take a look at Solvents and Reagents.
Solvents (Potion & Poisons)
Solvents are needed to create the Potion or Poison. In general you always want to use the level 8 Solvents for max level Potions or Poisons.
- Level 1: Natural Water and Grease
- Level 2: Pristine Water and Slime
- Level 3: Cleansed Water and Gall
- Level 4: Filtered Water and Terebinthine
- Level 5: Purified Water and Pitch-Bile
- Level 6: Cloud Mist and Tarblack
- Level 7: Star Dew and Night-Oil
- Level 8: Lorkhan’s Tears and Alkhest
