On this page, we will summarise all Nightfarers available in Elden Ring: Nightreign. Nightfarers are the playable characters of Nightreign, also known as classes. There are eight available on launch. In this guide, we will list the starting stats, equipment, passives and skills of each Nightfarer.
Table of Contents:
Duchess – Nightreign
Duchess is a melee fighter who prefers to fight with daggers. She favours a stealthy playstyle and can help her team to ambush enemies.
- Starting Stats:
- HP: 160
- FP: 65
- Stamina: 54
- Starting Gear:
- Duchess’ Dagger
- 3x Shield Grease
Magnificent Poise – Allows Duchess to immediately dodge a second time after dodging, by pressing the dodge button again.
Restage – Reapplies a portion of damage that was recently dealt by you and your allies.
Finale – Stealth yourself and all nearby allies for 10 seconds, preventing enemies from attacking them.
These abilities make Duchess great at supporting the team. A well-timed Restage can help to bring down a boss much quicker than would otherwise be possible, and Finale is perfect for setting up coordinated ambushes against a powerful enemy, or for gaining space to resurrect or to bypass an enemy you do not want to fight right now.
Duchess is a bit squishy and requires a player who is skilful enough to avoid most enemy attacks, although this is made a little easier thanks to her ability to double-dodge.

Guardian – Nightreign
Guardian is a tank who boasts high damage resistance and can punish enemies with heavy, damaging blows.
- Starting Stats:
- HP: 260
- FP: 55
- Stamina: 60
- Starting Gear:
- Guardian’s Halberd
- Guardian’s Greatshield
Steel Guard – Enter a defensive stance. This greatly reduces your movement speed, but makes blocking much more effective and reduces the Stamina cost of blocking. Use this to help you tank powerful enemies, allowing your allies to focus on DPS.
Whirlwind – A spinning attack that hits all nearby enemies and knocks them into the air. You can hold the button down to charge up your Whirlwind, increasing its area of effect.
Wings of Salvation – Leap into the air and crash to the ground, dealing AoE damage and staggering enemies. You can opt to charge up this Ultimate skill, which will also grant a defensive buff to your allies. The standard version consumes half of your Ultimate, while the charged version consumes all of it. This skill is also good for resurrecting fallen allies, since attacking fallen allies is the way to resurrect them in Elden Ring: Nightreign.
Guardian is primarily geared towards tanking, group support and AoE damage, and plays best in a coordinated team that sticks close together rather than kiting enemies around in different directions. His tanky starting point makes him a good choice for new players who are learning to survive in the challenging combat environment of Nightreign. If you’re learning with Guardian, try to use your Steel Guard and Wings of Salvation to help out your team in tricky situations. This is an easy way you can be an asset to your team even if you’re inexperienced.

Recluse – Nightreign
Recluse is a witch who uses ancient sorcery. She can create magical cocktails that combine various elemental effects.
- Starting Stats:
- HP: 140
- FP: 70
- Stamina: 54
- Starting Gear:
- Recluse’s Staff
- Glintstone Pebble
- Glintstone Arc
Elemental Defence – Allows you to see the Affinity Residues left behind by enemies, so that you can use Magic Cocktail after damaging them to add the element to your Magic Cocktail. Collecting Affinity Residues also restores some FP (mana).
Magic Cocktail – This complex skill allows you to combine three elements (you can have the same element several times) to trigger various bonus effects. Each time you use Magic Cocktail, it will pull one element from the target – either Magic, Fire, Lightning or Holy. Every fourth use of Magic Cocktail will consume the elements to activate a special magical effect, depending on which elements you’ve stored.
Soulblood Song – Mark all nearby enemies with Blood Sigils for 10 seconds. When they hit the marked enemies, you and your allies regain HP and FP.
Recluse has low base HP, making this a tricky Nightfarer for some players to start with. Managing your FP (mana) is also very important – you don’t want to run out just when you planned to activate your Magic Cocktail.
If you can overcome the initial challenge, you can have lots of fun with Recluse, combining different elemental effects and seeing how the various Magic Cocktails can help you in different situations. Her Soulblood Song ultimate on its own can make her a massive asset to any team.

Wylder – Nightreign
Wylder is a balanced all-rounder with good speed and attack power. His balanced nature and Sixth Sense passive make him another good choice for beginners.
- Starting Stats:
- HP: 220
- FP: 55
- Stamina: 54
- Starting Gear:
- Wylder’s Greatsword
- Wylder’s Small Shield
Sixth Sense – Allows you to avoid death once. Sixth Sense has no automatic cooldown, but can be refreshed by activating a Site of Grace.
Claw Shot – Launch a claw to the target location, if it’s within range. You can target the terrain or a wall to pull yourself to that location. You can also target a small enemy to pull them to you, or a larger enemy to pull yourself to them. Good for mobility, quickly getting to and escaping from various enemies.
Onslaught Stake – Launch a stake at the target. It explodes on impact, which can stagger and interrupt even large boss enemies. Usually has a short range, but you can charge it up, increasing the cast time to boost the range and damage. The standard version consumes half of your Ultimate, while the charged version consumes all of it.
Wylder is especially useful for newer players thanks to his Sixth Sense passive, allowing you to easily recover from one mistake. This makes learning in Elden Ring: Nightreign a slightly more forgiving experience. Remember to utilize your Claw Shot to quickly get around. This isn’t just for traversing the world quickly, but can also be used in combat to quickly advance on enemies or get out of the way of a big attack. Your Onslaught Strike can help your team out a lot in boss fights by staggering the boss. The more time a boss spends staggered, the less chance they have of killing you or an ally, so it’s good for everyone and deals decent damage, too.

Ironeye
Ironeye is an archer with fast reactions and highly accurate shots.
Eagle Eye – Increases the amount of loot dropped from enemies.
Marking – Create a weakpoint with your dagger, making the target temporarily more vulnerable to damage and stagger.
Single Shot – Shoots a supersonic arrow that deals devastating single-target damage. This arrow bypasses all defences.

Raider
Raider is a powerful seafarer who wields gigantic heavy weapons to crush their enemies. They can also summon totems to buff their allies and protect them from damage.
Fighter’s Resolve – You cannot be knocked down when using your Retaliate skill. Taking damage increases the potency of Retaliate.
Retaliate – A heavy uppercut that can stagger any enemy in the game, even the most powerful bosses.
Totem Stela – Summons a huge totem that damages enemies when it lands. It buffs nearby allies and can be used as a hiding place (it breaks line of sight to enemies) or as a platform to jump up higher than normal.

Executor
A skilled duellist, wielding a katana and excellent at parrying enemy attacks.
Tenacity – Gain increased attack damage and stamina recovery when you recover from a status effect.
Suncatcher – Wield your signature cursed blade, allowing for timed parries. Parries gradually break the shell of the sword, eventually revealing the glowing blade within. The glowing blade deals increased damage and can execute a powerful swing that returns it to its original state when used.
Aspect of the Crucible – Transform into a beast, increasing your Max HP and healing you to full HP. You can perform wide sweeping attacks with your claws or slam the ground to deal AoE damage.

Revenant
The Revenant is a summoner archetype who utilizes Spirit Ash mechanics.
Necromancy – Revenant has a chance to revive slain enemies as minions.
Summon Spirit – Summon one of three spirits to aid you:
- Small – Dishes out quick single-target attacks
- Medium – Slow but powerful swings that can cleave through and stagger multiple enemies
- Large – Immobile but very durable
Immortal March – The team is immortal for a short time, and downed allies are instantly revived. If you have a summoned spirit, it will perform a special attack.
