Please keep in mind, the list isn’t ordered from best to worst, more important is that you do understand in what situations you need these sets, every group is different. Always ask your group/raid leader what kind of gear he expects you to have, communication is key!

5-Piece Sets for Healers in ESO

Spell Power Cure

Spell Power Cure drops in the White Gold Tower. This is a powerful set that applies Major Courage to your allies when you overheal them, increasing their Spell and Weapon Power by 430. The set has no longer a cap of 6 targets.

Transformative Hope

Transformative Hope drops in the Sanity’s Edge Trial and comes in two different versions, Transformative Hope and Perfected Transformative Hope. The perfect version has one additional Healing Done bonus, but the important five piece bonus stays the same on both sets. The Set can apply Major Heroism to you and the healed ally under certain circumstances.

Vestments of Olorime

Vestments of Olorime drops in the Cloudrest Mini-Trial and comes in two different versions, Vestments of Olorime and Perfected Vestments of Olorime. The perfect version has one additional magicka bonus, but the five piece bonus stays the same on both sets. With this set you can keep up Major Courage (430 Spell and Weapon damage) permanently. However, keep in mind that the target cap of the set is 6 players.

The Worm’s Raiment

The Worm’s Raiment drops in the Vaults of Madness dungeon. This set is often used in magicka based groups in 4 or 12 man groups. 145 magicka recovery doesn’t sound like a lot, but it can really make a difference. if you have a full magicka group I can definitely recommend this set, obviously if your group members have no sustain issues, then this set becomes kinda irrelevant.

The set also has a fairly unique animation, you can recognize it by the blue orbs floating around your character.

Pillager’s Profit

The Pillager’s Profit drops in the Dreadsail Reef Trial and comes in two different versions, the Pillager’s Profit and Perfected Pillager’s Profit. This set can give your group a huge boost to ultimate gain but it requires good coordination. Because if your group already has full ultimate then the set won’t do anything. Therefore make sure to coordinate with your group when to use this.

Healing Mage (Mending Set)

The Healing Mage drops in the Aetherian Archive Trial, it is one of the most powerful sets in the game if used correctly. The Healing Mage set reduces damage from trash monsters and bosses. The set only procs when you are using an Area of Effect heal and only lasts for three seconds, so it is very hard to keep up, on top of that, you must be within 10 meters of the enemies to get it to proc.

  • 10m range of your character
  • AoE heal to proc it
  • 3 seconds duration

Hollowfang Thirst

Hollowfang Thirst drops in the Moongrave Fane dungeon. This set spawns a ball of Hemoglobin after you critically heal or critically damage someone, after two seconds the ball explodes, restoring 1750 Magicka and applying Minor Vitality (8% extra healing) to you and your allies within 6 meters.

In case your group has troubles with sustaining on Magicka setups, this set can be a viable option to increase sustain.

Z’en’s Redress

Z’en’s Redress drops in the Lair of Maarselok dungeon. This set applies the Touch of Z’en on enemies for 20 seconds with your light attack. Enemies with the Touch of Z’en take an additional 1% more damage for each damage over time effect you’ve placed on them, up to 5%.

This is a powerful set with an unique damage bonus mechanic. The set will occupy a lot of your time, because if you want to keep up the total 5% extra damage you have to keep up all the necessary damage over time effects on the enemy.

Sanctuary

Sanctuary drops in The Banished Cells 1 and 2. This set increases your healing received by 12% for you and up to 11 group members within 10 meters of you. That is a huge boost in healing for the whole group, this set is very powerful if you need the extra healing. The only requirement is that you are within 10 meters of your group members to get the benefit.

The set also has a fairly unique animation, you can recognize it by the green orbs floating around your character.

Kagrenac’s Hope

Kagrenac’s Hope is a craftable set that requires you to have 8 traits researched. It increases the resurrection speed by 25%. This set should be used in case your group struggles with a lot of deaths, that way you can res people way easier. Technically you could even use this on a dps character because it also gives you a nice spell damage boost. This used to be one of my favorite sets in progression groups when a new trial got released, people usually tend to die left and right and this way you can really resurrect way faster.

Jorvuld’s Guidance

Jorvuld’s Guidance drops in the Scalecaller Peak dungeon. It is often used to increase the uptime of Major Force from the Aggressive Warhorn skill or any other Major buff. The set also extends the duration of the Major Courage buff from the Perfected Vestments of Olorime set. It also extends the duration of the Minor Berserk, Minor Resolve/Ward buff from the Combat Prayer skill and many other things. So if you have trouble keeping up buffs then this is the set for you!

Torug’s Pact

Torug’s Pact is a crafted set and requires 3 researched traits to craft it. This is used in progression trial groups for healers that have to apply the Crusher Enchantment on a boss, to increase the groups overall penentration values. Torug’s is usually combined with an Infused trait on the weapon, to increase the penetration value even further.

Martial Knowledge

Martial Knowledge drops in the Craglorn Zone. This set is most commonly used in trial 12 man groups, your stamina needs to be under 50% for it to proc and then it will increase the full groups damage by 8%. The debuff lasts 5 seconds and the set has a 8 seconds cooldown, therefore the uptime can be quite high and increase the dps by a huge margin of the whole group.

Hircine’s Veneer

Hircine’s Veneer drops in the Selene’s Web dungeon. This set functions the same as Worm’s Raiment set. It provides a 145 stamina recovery boost to the whole party. it is mostly used in stamina based trial groups. If your group has stamina sustain issues, then this set can definitely help!

The set also has a fairly unique animation, you can recognize it by the green orbs floating around your character.

Ebon Armory

Ebon Armory drops in the Crypt of Hearts 1 & 2 dungeon. This might sound like an odd choice for a healer, but sometimes it can be necessary for the healer to run this set because the tank has to wear some very specific sets and can’t wear Ebon Armory. If you want to run this set though, you have to transmute the jewelry and use two heavy armor pieces (because Ebon set on weapons can bug out ) and because you will have two heavy armor pieces, your sustain will become a bit more difficult.

Winter’s Respite

Winter’s Respite drops in the Western Skyrim zone, it is an overland set. You could call this Illustrious Healing on steroids. Winter’s Respite has the same circle size as Illustrious Healing and a very strong tooltip.

Roaring Opportunist

Roaring Opportunist drops in Kyne’s Aegis and comes in two different versions, Roaring Opportunist and Perfected Roaring Opportunist. Using a fully charged heavy attack grans the Major Slayer buff to 6 group members, which increases damage against dungeon and trial monsters.

This set can be useful if applied to the right build but needs a lot of coordination to truly make it work.

Stone-Talker’s Oath

The Stone-Talker’s Oath comes in two version, Perfected Stone-Talker’s Oath and Stone-Talker’s Oath. The set restors both magicka and stamina to the whole group. It requires you to do heavy attacks to proc the effect.

Hiti’s Hearth

The Hiti’s Heart set drops in the Icereach dungeon. The set applies a warming aura around, while you and group members are in the aura you gain healing every 2 seconds and reduce cost of sprint, block and roll dodge by a small percantage.

Scorion’s Feast

The Scorion’s Feast set drops in the Dread Cellar dungeon. After you deal damage with a fully charged heavy attack, you gain an Imbued Aura for 10 seconds, granting you and up to 3 other group members 307 Magicka and Stamina Recovery. This can occur every 20 seconds. If you deal damage once more with a fully charged heavy attack while the Imbued Aura is active, consume it and gain an Overflow Aura for 10 seconds, granting you and up to 3 other group members 307 Weapon and Spell Damage. You can heavy attack in the last few seconds of the first buff, this means you can potentially have almost 10 seconds of recovery and then another 10 seconds of extra Weapon and Spell Damage if timed correctly.

Grave Inevitability

The Grave Inevitability set drops in the Graven Deep dungeon. The set applies Major Force to yourself and Minor Force to your allies within 12 meters of you. This can be a good set in case your group members don’t want to apply Minor Force themselves.

Stone’s Accord

The Stone’s Accord drops in the Earthen Root Enclave dungeon. When you use an area of effect heal you apply Minor Berserk and Minor Resolve to the healed for 4 seconds. If they already have the buffs, they gain magicka instead.

Rage of Ursauk

The Rage of Ursauk drops in the Earthen Root Enclave dungeon. This is a medium armor set, you should wear this on jewelry + weapon to still be able to wear light armor. This set applies the Empower buff to your allies within a 12 meter radius. This can be strong in case you have group members that have a heavy attack focused build but don’t want to cast Empower onto themselves.

Ability Altering Sets for Healers in ESO

Force Overflow (Vateshran Resto)

Force Overflow drops in the Vateshran Hollows solo arena and it comes in two version, Force Overflow and Perfected Force Overflow. When you cast Force Siphon on a target within 15 meters creates a tether. You and allies in the tether restore 175 Magicka and Stamina every 1 second.

You and your allies get plenty of extra resources, but you have to make sure that players stand in the tether to get the benefit.

Timeless Blessing (Asylum Resto Staff)

Timeless Blessing comes in two versions, Timeless Blessing and Perfected Timelss Blessing. The set is also often referred to as the Asylum Resto Staff. The difference between the perfected and imperfect version can be ignored, because the important unique bonus is the same on both versions. That means it is very easy to get the imperfect version. Combat Prayer is used in every healer build, therefore the set bonus is really easy to proc and will make your sustain godlike as basically everything gets 21% cheaper!

Grand Rejuvenation (Master Resto Staff)

Grand Rejuvenation drops in the Dragonstar Arena and it comes in two version, Grand Rejuvenation and Perfected Grand Rejuvenation. The set is very powerful and helps a lot with the overall stamina and magicka sustain of your group. the Grand Healing skill and both its morphs have a longer duration but once the buff has worn out you could already reapply the skill early to benefit from the set again if you want to.

Monster Sets for Healers in ESO

Here you can find some of the best Monster Sets that you can use as a healer.

Symphony of Blades

Symphony of Blades helmet drops in the Depths of Malatar Dungeon and the shoulder piece drops in the Urgalarg Chief-bane’s undaunted chest. When you heal an ally who is under 50% of their primary resource, grant them Meridia’s Favor, which restores 570 Magicka or Stamina every 1 second for 6 seconds. This effect can occur every 18 seconds per target. The resource returned is based off the target’s highest maximum resource. This is a very powerful set for 4 man or 12 man content as it boosts the overall sustain of your group by a huge margin.

Sentinel of Rkugamz

Sentinel of Rkugamz helmet drops in the Darkshade Caverns I dungeon and the shoulder is from the Maj undaunted chest. This is one of the most used healer Monster Sets, it is a very strong resource management tool for your group. When you heal yourself or an ally you summon a dwemer spider that heals for 1000 Health and restores 125 Magicka and Stamina to you and your allies within 5 meters every 1 second for 8 seconds. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.

Nightflame

Nightflame helmet drops in the Elden Hollow II dungeon and the shoulder comes from the Maj undaunted chest. When you heal yourself or an ally, you have a 20% chance to summon a totem for 6 seconds that heals you and your allies within 5 meters for 2460 Health every 1 second. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

Earthgore

Earthgore helmet drops in the Bloodroot Forge dungeon and the shoulder comes from the Urgarlag undaunted chest. When an ally drops below 50% health and you heal him, a pool of blood will drop and heal for 30000 over 6 seconds. This set can function as sort of a “failsafe” proc, there is usually always some sort of healing over time on a player, and then the Earthgore proc will proc automatically, even if you do not currently see the player. The proc only affects one player though, keep that in mind.

Chokethorn

Chokethorn helmet drops in the Elden Hollow I dungeon and the shoulder comes from the Maj undaunted chest. The set has a really strong burst heal, but a fairly long cooldown and the proc chance is pretty low. Keep in mind, this set is only single target, therefore it might be nice in a 4 man group but less relevant in a 12 man trial group.

Troll King

Troll King helmet drops in the Blessed Crucible dungeon and the shoulder comes from the Glirion undaunted chest. This set has a very niche application, most of the times all the other Monster Sets will perform better, but in a situation where you really want to push healing, you could also use the Troll King to boost the health recovery of your ally.

Encratis’s Behemoth

Encratis’s Behemoth helmet drops in the Black Drake Villa dungeon and the shoulder comes from the Undaunted Enclave. The set reduces Flame damage taken and increases flame damage done on enemies. Especially in 12 player raid groups this can help boost the overall damage by quite a bit. However, you will have to deal flame damage to activate the set.

Nazaray

Nazaray head piece drops from the Shipwright’s Regret dungeon and the should can be obtained via the Urgarlag undaunted chest. The set can be used to extend the duration of Major and Minor debuffs on enemies. Especially useful at the start of a boss fight leading to more burst damage at the start. The healer can activate the set after all debuffs are applied on the enemy. Especially useful for things like Major Vulnerability, instead of 12 seconds you will have 37 seconds of the debuff, which will make a huge difference in group damage.

Mythic Item Sets for Healers in ESO

Lets take a look at some good Mythic item sets that healers can use.

Spaulder of Ruin

Spaulder of Ruin is a Mythic set that can be obtained by collecting five different leads: Aureal Armor Glaze, Clannfear Leather Strapping, Petrified Daedroth Horn, Void Alloy Lame Plates and Void Alloy Rivets. Once you have collected all the leads the set will be created automatically in the highest quality. The set is good if you want to give your group extra weapon and spell damage but it also comes with a big trade off, for every ally benefiting from the buff you will lose health, magicka and stamina recovery. The good thing about this set is that it applies an unique buff, therefore you can stack it with other major or minor buffs.

Pearls of Ehlnofey

Pearls of Ehlnofey is a Mythic set that can be obtained by collecting five different leads: Aetherquartz Prayer Beads, Coral Clasp, Great Eltheric Pearl, Nilumin River Pearls, Silver Strand of Syrabane. Once you have collected all the leads the set will be created automatically in the highest quality. The set is great if you need extra ultimate regen. You have to be below 30% of your dominant resource (magicka or stamina) to gain 5 ultimate points. As long as you stay below 30% and you keep casting healing abilities you will gain extra ultimate. This can be tough because most healer builds have high magicka recovery, make sure to adjust your build if you want to use this Mythic.
