Spectre Strikes are a special attack that you can use in Soulframe to deal extra damage to enemies. Many newer players see Spectre Strikes mentioned when they are levelling up their Pact Arts or Weapon Passives, but don’t know what a Spectre Strike is or how to perform one.
In this quick guide, we will introduce you to Spectre Strikes and explain how you can use them.
This guide is up to date with Soulframe Preludes 15.
Soulframe Spectre Strikes Explained
Unlike Smite Attacks, Spectre Strikes do not trigger randomly and have to be set up by the player.
To set up a Spectre Strike, you must perform a perfect dodge. This means dodging an enemy attack at the last possible moment before the attack hits you. When you are successful, your character’s legs will briefly glow, and you will hear a brief “whoosh” sound.
Your next attack against the enemy will be a Spectre Strike, dealing bonus damage to them.
The ability to perform Spectre Strikes must be unlocked in your Weapon Skill Tree. Some weapons have additional unlockable passives, such as Misdirection in the Magick weapon tree, which increases your chance of Smite when you perform a Spectre Strike.
Spectre Strikes don’t deal as much damage as Smite Attacks, and they require much more skill to use properly. Players need to have good reaction times, timing and experience with the attack patterns of enemies in Soulframe. It is a risk/reward mechanic that is entirely optional. You can defeat all enemies in Soulframe without using a single Spectre Strike, but if you master them, you can deal more damage and finish enemies off more quickly.
