The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Trickster Vocation Class is a pacifist type option that specializes in group buffing, taunt control, and deception to defeat enemies. The Trickster Vocation uses The Censer as its weapon, conjuring illusions to occupy enemies’ attention and draw them from other party members. Aromatic Rally is a group buff that will greatly increase party members’ attack power. Between occupying targets and buffing damage, they can compensate for the party’s lack of damage and build a group of pawns that specialize in attacking.
Outside of taunting and buffing the party directly, the Trickster can create illusionary walls and floors to deceive enemies. This will allow situations where you can place an illusionary flooring next to a cliff and have enemies chase your illusion and jump off a cliff to their deaths. This presents a more strategic gameplay with the Trickster where you plan and build around an entire strategy with your party or for situational fights. The Trickster Vocation is the most unique hybrid seen in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 allowing a more fulfilling playthrough experience with a party of pawns.
The Trickster Vocation gets an average spread of health, defense, and magick defense which lends well to their supportive tanking role in the party. While the Trickster Vocation isn’t like any other vocation option, it will present an opportunity to see your pawns handle situations that you control and create. It is the ultimate support vocation that leverages elements of strategic gameplay along with powerful supportive roles.
The Trickster is not available at the start of the game but needs to be unlocked. To learn more about this, please check our guide about Unlocking the Trickster Vocation.
