The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Fighter Vocation Class is the front line of the battle boasting mastery of sword and shield. They are primarily considered your ‘tank’ in a group setting for pawns, but can still deal heavy damage in bursts as they progress. Fighters have the ability to taunt enemies to attack them instead of other party members. While shielding the party, they are able to block very effectively and deliver timely counter-attacks.
Table of Contents:
The Fighter Vocations’ primary weapon is a sword and shield, which limits them to melee but gives them a strong sense of control while maintaining high defense. Blink Strike allows them to gap close into enemies which bypasses their limited mobility in combat. Blocking can be performed actively but timing matters for effective blocking allowing players to engage in a vicious parrying playstyle that stays in an enemy’s face. Fighters maintain powerful control in managing enemies aggression, absorbing and countering their attacks, and assisting in staggering and controlling focused targets.
Fighters gain higher amounts of health and defense at the cost of magick and magick defense as they level up. Paired with their ability to use heavier armor, they are a difficult target to take down with their real weakness being unblocked magick attacks.
