The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Mystic Spearhand Vocation Class is a hybrid vocation between physical melee attacks and magick utility skills.  It is the replacement of the fan favorite Mystic Knight from Dragon’s Dogma which was more of a damage dealing tank.  The Mystic Spearhand is a more agile version which feels like a ‘jedi knight’ using a duospear as its main weapon to deal damage while the magick skills will allow openings and mobility options in the fight.

The Mystic Spearhand is not available at the start of the game but needs to be unlocked. Check our guide on How to Unlock the Mystic Spearhand to learn more about how to do this.

Table of Contents:

The Mystic Spearhand will shoot magick bolts at targets which and flinch and ensnare their targets while allowing the user to teleport as well to follow up.  Mirour Vesture is a defensive tool which can prevent all incoming damage to the Mystic Spearhand and any allies nearby for a very short window.  However, the Mystic Spearhand won’t have other tools to “block” but will instead rely on evading attacks by dashing at targets they are attacking with bolts.  As a result, this class is best viewed as an aggressive vocation that can avoid damage through its offensively paced toolset and flinching and controlling targets through ranged magickal attacks.

The Mystic Spearhand vocation will gain significantly more strength, stamina, and defense than its counterparts in stat growth as it levels up.  It’s not built to absorb damage and staggering attacks from larger foes like a Fighter or Warrior, but instead a good vocation choice for evading attacks and continuing to apply higher speed pressure.  Having the ability to jump from target to target and even throw objects or enemies at others provides an action-packed “force user” playstyle that requires planning your attack moves and always ready to counter.
