Top 10 TL PvE Builds
Below are our top 10 picks for the most powerful builds in Throne & Liberty.
10 – Beginner Greatsword Build
The Beginner Greatsword Build is a simplified version of the Greatsword & Dagger Brawler build mentioned later in the guide. It is easier to setup and use, and while it isn’t designed for end-game combat, we included it here because it’s one of the easiest starting points for players in Throne & Liberty.
The Greatsword is an excellent weapon for dealing with multiple enemies quickly, a valuable trait for players who are leveling up their character and getting through a great deal of quest and world mobs in the process.
This build makes very basic use of the Daggers too – we are using the passives that give extra Critical Chance and Critical Damage, and the Inject Venom skill which is required to get the full benefit of these passives. Passives in Throne & Liberty apply to both of your weapons, so the Dagger passives can be easily used to buff the critical damage output of your Greatsword, even if you don’t use the equipped dagger directly at all.

9 – Wand, Tome & Daggers Build
The Wand, Tome & Daggers is a build combination in Throne & Liberty that allows you to curse enemies with various DoT (Damage over Time) effects. Your curses can be converted into a magical explosion for burst damage, and later on you can use Ray of Disaster to deal massive burst damage.
The Wand & Tome is also a versatile weapon, as it has some optional support and healing options that you can use when required.
The Dagger provides you with some melee attacks and allows you to poison enemies. The Dagger passives increase your critical chance and the amount of damage done when you land critical hits.
To learn more about how this setup works, please check out the Wand, Tome & Daggers Build Guide.
8 – Staff & Longbow Build
An unconventional build, combining the AOE spells provided by the Staff with single-target Longbow attacks.
This is a versatile ranged build that rewards you with extra damage for staying at long-range, so careful positioning is an important thing to keep in mind when playing the build.

7 – Staff and Wand & Tome Build
The Staff and Wand Build for Throne & Liberty is the full mage option. The staff provides you with a wide range of magical spells that deal both single and multi-target damage.
While the Wand & Tome is primarily a supportive weapon that offers buffs and heals, it also allows you to Curse enemies for extra damage, use Curse Explosion and eventually Ray of Disaster for powerful bursts of damage. If you want your entire skill loadout to be made up of magical spells, then this is the setup for you.

6 – Greatsword & Longbow Build
The Greatsword is a powerful melee weapon in Throne & Liberty, popular among beginners due to the Valiant Brawl skill that allows you to quickly deal with multiple enemies. The Greatsword remains powerful into the late-game, thanks to its ability to provide huge bursts of damage.
Adding the Longbow to the build adds some extra versatility, including ranged damage options, buffs, debuffs and an optional healing skill. This is one of the most beginner-friendly setups available in Throne & Liberty, but it remains viable for experienced players too.

5 – Staff & Dagger Build
The Staff & Dagger Build combines the huge AOE potential of the Staff with the extra Critical Chance and Critical Damage provided by the Daggers.
The Staff provides you with several fire and lightning spells that can deal high damage to enemies, both in AOE and against single targets. The dagger passives will in turn buff the critical strength of these spells. Remember to keep using Inject Venom to get the most out of the dagger passives.

4 – Longbow & Crossbow Build
The Longbow & Crossbow Build is an entirely ranged DPS setup. It lacks the critical damage buffs afforded by the Daggers, but instead the passives of both of these ranged weapons will buff each other. For example, the Sniper’s Sense passive will buff the Critical Damage of your Crossbow skills as well as your Longbow skills.
Similarly, the Eagle Vision passive from Crossbow increases the Hit rating of both Crossbow and Longbow skills, depending on your distance from the target.
These two weapons synergise with each other and fit together perfectly, since they are both long range weapons and they both have an array of passives that buff ranged attacks. The downside of the build is that positioning is very important – if you’re forced to fight at close quarters then you’ll lose many of your buffs, and the build will be considerably weaker.
If you want to learn more about this build option, please check our Longbow & Crossbow Build Guide.
3 – Greatsword & Dagger Build
The Greatsword & Dagger is the strongest weapon combination for players who prefer to be entirely melee-focused in Throne & Liberty.
The Greatsword is a handy melee weapon because it lets you hit multiple enemies at once with Valiant Brawl, or allows you to combine several powerful debuffs and attacks to unleash bursts of extremely high single-target damage on enemies.
Like with many build combinations, the Daggers take a supporting role here. The passives and Inject Venom poison of the Daggers allows provides Greatsword users with a strong package for buffing their critical chance & critical damage, making the Greatsword even stronger by allowing for truly menacing critical hits.

2 – Longbow & Dagger Build
The Longbow is an excellent weapon in Throne & Liberty, combining high single-target damage with some extra supportive and healing abilities, which you can incorporate or ignore, depending on the situation.
Longbow users should aim to remain at the longest possible range from their target at all times. This is because, built correctly, Longbow users will enjoy a flat damage boost depending on their distance from the target.
This is a weapon that requires some thought and foresight to get the best out of, but has a very high single-target damage potential with the versatility of being a ranged weapon, keeping you safe from melee-based enemy attacks. Add that to the critical damage boosts from the Daggers, and you have a very powerful package for PvE DPS in Throne & Liberty.

1 – Crossbow & Dagger Build
The Crossbow & Dagger build provides you with rapid-fire attacks that can be used at all ranges. Like all builds that incoporate the Daggers, regularly Poisoning your enemies is an important aspect to the build that allows you to gain extra Crit against them.
Your ability to move and attack rapidly, use stealth to guarantee crits and attack in a versatile manner that still hits very hard is a great combination that makes this setup arguably the best in Throne & Liberty PvE.
