Welcome to our Longbow Dagger Archer Build for Throne and Liberty. With this Archer DPS PVE Build, we will be using the combination of the Longbow and Dagger weapons to achieve a powerful damage output in combat.
Mainhand: Longbow
Offhand: Dagger
Note: This build is a work in progress until the launch of the NA/EU servers. The Korean devs are still changing a lot of balancing aspects on the Korean Servers at the moment with every patch.

Archer (Longbow Dagger) Build Setup for Throne and Liberty
In this section, we will explain the important components of the build, such as stats, passives, skills, and equipment.
Weapons Main vs Off-hand
- Main-hand: Longbow
- Off-hand: Dagger
Our main weapon slot is the Longbow and our off-hand weapon slot is the Dagger. These two synergize extremely well and complement each other. Passives from your secondary weapon are still active when you are holding your primary weapon, and vice versa. This makes it possible to apply the Dagger’s passives when you are using the Longbow for example. The Dagger gives lots of crit bonuses, so this is a useful weapon to apply to any other weapon in the game, and it is especially good in combination with high-damage weapons like the Longbow.
Range: It is important to stay at maximum range if possible because a lot of the Skills and Passives have bonus damage if you are further away from the enemy.
Stats
The most important stats for the Longbow Dagger Archer Build is Dexterity, which improves your damage with your weapons and skills.
We recommend a stat distribution that looks something like the following:
- 10 Strength
- 40 Dexterity
- 15 Wisdom
- 15 Perception
If you feel like you don’t have enough health on your build, you can place some points in Strength to increase your Health value. This also prevents you from getting one shot by bosses in tougher dungeons in Throne and Liberty.
Defence Skill
Each build in Throne and Liberty can slot one defence skill. Because we are using a Longbow and Daggers we have a choice between two defensive skills:
- Longbow: Overtaker
- Daggers: Ambush Stance
For this build, we are using the Overtaker Defence Skill from the Longbow. This will allow you to gain increased crit when you successfully defend against a Fury Attack.
Active Skills
Below are explanations of the skills we are using for the Archer Build.
Skills | Skills |
---|---|
1: Zephyr’s Nock | 7: Strafing |
2: Ensnaring Arrow | 8: Shadow Strike |
3: Decisive Sniping | 9: Inject Venom |
4: Nature’s Blessing | 10: Brutal Incision |
5: Deadly Marker | 11: Camouflage Cloak |
6: Brutal Arrow | 12: Fatal Stigma |
Longbow Skills
- Zephyr’s Nock – Deals damage, with the amount increasing depending on your distance from the target. When levelled up, the skill gains bonuses when hitting stunned, bound or sleeping targets, such as additional damage and cooldown reduction.
- Ensnaring Arrow – Deals damage, and has a high chance of inflicting Bind. When levelled up, binds enemies for longer and can cause a bonus DoT.
- Decisive Sniping – Deals massive damage, but has a 24-second cooldown. More likely to crit against enemies with high health. Immediately resets cooldown upon landing a Critical Hit.
- Nature’s Blessing – Creates an area with a radius of 16m that increases the Health Regen and Mana Regen of you and your party members. Only gets the effect within the area. Removes one Weaken effect from all party members within the area when it is created.
- Deadly Marker – Has a very high chance to choose a target for 9 seconds. Increases your Hit and Critical Hit chance when attacking the marked target. Each successful Critical Hit landed on the marked target by you and your party members decreases you and your party members’ remaining Skills cooldown by 1% and your Glory Aura skill cooldown by 6%. The cooldown reduction effect is halved against monsters.
- Brutal Arrow – A single arrow shot to the sky falls to the selected location, dealing damage to enemies within the 3m area. Enemies within the 1m area from the centre receive more damage.
- Strafing – Attacks 4 times consecutively. If you land more than 2 Critical Hits, you can use the skill 2 more times. Additional use consumes only 50% of the Mana cost.
Dagger Skills
- Shadow Strike – Moves behind a target, and deal damage. Has a high chance to inflict Bind for 2s and Silence: Poison for 6s.
- Inject Venom – Adds Weaken: Poison effect to all attacks for 9s. The poison lasts 6s and deals damage each second while stopping Health Regen. Stacks up to 20 times.
- Brutal Incision – Deals very heavy damage. Increases Critical Hit when the target’s remaining Health is 50% or less. Critical Damage increases by 50%.
- Camouflage Cloak – Becomes Hidden for 10.5s, unable to be targeted. The first attack while being hidden is a guaranteed critical hit. Hiding is cancelled when you attack or morph.
- Fatal Stigma – Leaves a Mark, dealing damage after 3s. For targets afflicted with your Poison, damage increases per stack of Poison.
Passive Skills
Below are explanations of the passives, including how they can synergise with other passives and skills.
Passive | Passive |
---|---|
Distorted Sanctuary | Roxie’s Arrowhead |
Sniper’s Sense | Vicious Fangs |
Steady Aim | Assassin’s Intincts |
Rapidfire Stance | Wrathful Edge |
Longbow Passives
- Distorted Sanctuary – Increase Melee, Ranged, and Magic Endurance, and increase Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense per one party member, including yourself, within a 16m radius.
- Sniper’s Sense – Increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Critical Hit and Critical Hit Damage per 1m of distance from the target.
- Steady Aim – Gain increased Melee, Ranged and Magic Critical Hit against Bound targets.
- Rapidfire Stance – Staying in the same place without moving for 2s will increase Attack Speed, and Melee, Ranged, Magic Hit. The effect remains in effect for 2s even after you move. It will also remain in effect upon using Mobility skills.
- Roxie’s Arrowhead – Shooting a projectile from Longbows or Crossbows has a chance to shoot an additional projectile. If you’re shooting in the same direction as the wind, the chance is increased, with the chance bonus depending on the wind speed.
Dagger Passives
- Vicious Fangs – Attacking targets afflicted by your Poison, increases Melee, Ranged, Magic Critical Hit.
- Assassin’s Instincts – Increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Critical Hit.
- Wrathful Edge – Significantly increases Critical Damage.
Skills and Passives Upgrade Priority
Upgrading Skills and Passives in the right order will make combat a lot easier in Throne and Liberty. However, it also takes quite a long because you need so-called “Growth Stones” to upgrade and the higher quality ones are difficult to get. Therefore it is important to plan ahead which skills you want to upgrade first.
Note: You unlock higher level skills already in a higher quality such as Rare or Epic. So you won’t have to upgrade all of the Skills from Uncommon to Rare.
Skill Name | Upgrade From | Upgrade To |
---|---|---|
Zephyr’s Nock | Uncommon | Rare |
Decisive Sniping | Uncommon | Rare |
Inject Venom | Uncommon | Rare |

Longbow and Dagger Build Weapon Mastery
While you are playing with a weapon type you also gain points in Weapon Mastery for our build. This allows you to get additional perks that increase your character’s power in Throne and Liberty. This automatically progresses slowly while you are playing with your weapon equipped.
For our Throne and Liberty Longbow & Dagger Build we are going to focus on the Sniping section of the Longbow Weapon Mastery Tree.
- Ranged Hit
- Ranged Critical Hit
- Pointy Thorns
- Damage Bonus
- Base Damage
- Critical Nock
- Attack Speed
- Ranged Critical Hit
- Brutal Shooter
For the Dagger Weapon Mastery tree, we are going to use the Assassination section.
Equipment Armour and Jewelry
When you are leveling up this build don’t worry too much about gear. The gear itself only becomes important after level 50. Therefore make sure to simply equip whatever you find and focus on leveling up your skills. Make sure to read our Throne and Liberty Equipment Guide to understand the basics of how gear works. Additionally, we also recommend reading the Throne and Liberty Gear Enchanting Guide to get an understanding of how you can improve your gear and why it is important.
Important: Getting the correct traits for each item piece is very time-consuming, even if you don’t have the perfect traits the build will still work perfectly fine.
Weapons
For this build, we are using the Karnix’s Hell Bow, which is especially good as it increases your maximum Range, synergising nicely with various Longbow skills (such as Sniper’s Sense) that grant you extra damage output when you are at a longer distance from your target. The chosen dagger is less important – we are using Lequirus’ Thorny Edge, but you could use another one instead as long as it has decent stats.
Karnix’s Hell Bow can be found inside Paola’s Dimension Chests, which in turn can be earned by completing various dungeons, such as Death’s Abyss, the Temple of Slaughter, Cave of Destruction, Cursed Wasteland, Butcher’s Canyon, and Tyrant’s Isle.
If you can obtain Archboss weapons, namely the Tevent’s Screaming Bow or Tevent’s Massacre Blade, you can use those with this build. Archboss weapons are generally speaking very powerful, but they are also extremely hard to obtain, which is why they are not the recommended option in this build.
Type | Item | Optimal Traits |
---|---|---|
Main-hand Longbow | Karnix’s Hell Bow | Ranged Hit, Ranged Critical Hit, Ranged Heavy Attack Chance |
Off-hand Daggers | Lequirus’ Thorny Edge | Melee Hit, Melee Critical Hit, Melee Heavy Attack Chance |
The Lequirus’ Thorny Edge and the Karnix’s Hell Bow drop from Paola’s Dimension Chest. You get that chest from the Group Dungeons that can be accessed here on the Throne and Liberty Map.
Armour and Accessories
With our setup we are going to use the Death Set, which gives you extra Critical Damage and Attack Speed, making for a very powerful DPS-oriented item set. We’re also using the Dimensional Chaos set, a jewellery-only set that adds a little extra Stamina Regen.
- Death Set
- 2 Items: Critical Damage +21%
- 4 Items: Attack Speed +10%
- Dimensional Chaos
- 2 Items: Stamina Regen +10

How to Play the Longbow Dagger Archer Build in TL
Now that we have explained how to create the Longbow Dagger Archer build, we will cover the best ways to play the build to get the best out of it, including combos and general tips.
Archer Build Combos & Rotation
The rotation of the Archer build revolves around managing your debuffs (Poison, Bind and Mark), ensuring that you always have at least one available at a time. These are used to improve your Crit chance, which is useful all around but especially useful for starting Decisive Sniping spams, as seen in the combo above. As mentioned previously, you are limited to three casts of Decisive Sniping per Cooldown, but this is still very powerful. Try not to overlap these effects too much and never have more than two of them active at the same time.
While you can play the Longbow Dagger build on a casual level by just using random skills or spamming the same skill over and over again, the more skilled player will make the most of their skills and passives, many of which can be used in a certain order to buff the final damage output of each skill – these are known as combos.
Below are the most important combos for this Archer Build, along with a summary of how/why they work.
- Camouflage Cloak -> Decisive Sniping -> Decisive Sniping
- Using Camouflage Cloak guarantees a Critical Hit on Decisive Sniping, dealing increased damage and resetting the skill’s cooldown. You can then immediately use Decisive Sniping again, either on the same target or on a new one.
- Camouflage Cloak -> Decisive Sniping -> Deadly Marker -> Ensnaring Arrow -> Decisive Sniping -> Zephyr’s Knock -> Decisive Sniping
- This is a more complicated version of the first combo, and since it relies on a large number of skill cooldowns, it makes for a good opener at the beginning of combat, as you’re unlikely to be able to do it again for the duration of combat. The first Decisive Sniping is guaranteed to reset its cooldown thanks to Camouflage Cloak, but the second and third casts are not guaranteed to Crit, however they have a high chance of doing so thanks to Deadly Marker. If one of them fails to crit then that puts an early end to the combo, but it’s still worth using Zephyr’s Knock to benefit from Ensnaring Arrow’s Bind. In an earlier version of the game, you were able to keep spamming Decisive Sniping until one failed to Crit, but now it has been nerfed and is limited to three uses per Cooldown – even if all three of them Crit, you won’t be able to use a fourth. In spite of this nerf, Decisive Sniping is one of the hardest-hitting skills in the game, and the ability to use it several times in rapid succession with high Crit Chance is very powerful.
Archer Tips & Tricks
- Don’t focus too much on gear early on. Gear farming only becomes important after you hit max level.
- Get equipment that gives you extra Max Health or Strength stats at the beginning.
- Always keep track of your cooldowns, especially on the high cooldown Skills.
