Welcome to our Wand & Tome and Daggers DPS Build for Throne and Liberty. With this Hybrid Melee/Ranged DPS Build, we will be using the combination of the Wand & Tome and Dagger weapons to achieve powerful damage output in TL, with a focus on Critical damage.
Mainhand: Wand & Tome
Offhand: Dagger
Note: This build is a work in progress until the launch of the NA/EU servers. The Korean devs are still changing a lot of balancing aspects on the Korean Servers at the moment with every patch.

Wand & Tome and Daggers Build Setup for Throne and Liberty
In this section, we will explain the important components of the build, such as stats, passives, skills and equipment.
Weapons Main vs Off-hand
- Main-hand: Wand & Tome
- Off-hand: Daggers
Our main hand weapon is the Wand & Tome, and our off-hand weapon is the Daggers. These weapons combine to give a great setup for critical damage, making this a strong DPS build for both PvE and PvP.
Stats
The most important stats for the Wand and Dagger Build are Dexterity, used to improve your damage, Crit chance, Evasion and Movement Speed, along with Wisdom, which increases your Maximum Mana, Mana Regeneration and Cooldown speed.
We recommend a stat distribution that looks similar to the following:
- 10 Strength
- 30 Dexterity
- 30 Wisdom
- 20 Perception
If you feel like you don’t have enough health on your build, you can place some points in Strength to increase your Health value. This also prevents you from getting one shot by bosses in tougher dungeons in Throne and Liberty.
Defence Skill
Each build in Throne and Liberty can slot one defence skill. Because we are using a Wand & Tome and Daggers we have a choice between two defensive skills:
- Wand & Tome: Chaotic Shield
- Daggers: Ambush Stance
For this build, we are using the Chaotic Shield Defence Skill from the Wand & Tome. This allows you to apply Curse to an attacking foe when you defend against one of their Fury Attacks, as well as restoring some Stamina to nearby party members.
Active Skills
Below are explanations of the skills we are using for the Wand & Tome and Daggers Build.
Skills | Skills |
---|---|
1: Touch of Despair | 7: Swift Healing |
2: Curse Explosion | 8: Shadow Strike |
3: Corrupted Magic Circle | 9: Inject Venom |
4: Cursed Nightmare | 10: Brutal Incision |
5: Time for Punishment | 11: Umbral Spirit |
6: Karmic Haze | 12: Predatory Strike |
Wand & Tome Skills
- Touch of Despair – Apply Weaken: Curse, dealing damage over time. This damage does not wake up Sleeping targets. Can be stacked up to 2 times.
- Curse Explosion – Deals damage. Enemies within 5 metres of the target that you have afflicted with Curse: Damage over Time will have all Curse, Poison and Burning effects forcibly removed, immediately dealing their remaining damage plus a bonus amount.
- Corrupted Magic Circle – Create a 5 metre AOE that applies Weaken: Curse to all enemies within, dealing damage over time.
- Cursed Nightmare – High chance to reduce Movement and Attack Speed and apply Curse: Sleep. If a Sleeping target is hit, the attack becomes a Critical Hit and Sleep is removed.
- Time for Punishment – Applies Weaken: Curse, which has a very high chance to reduce Skill Damage Resistance.
- Karmic Haze – Has a high chance to spread the activated Curse from the main target to up to 3 other targets in a range of 5 metres.
- Swift Healing – Heals allies’ Health by a large amount. Can be used up to 2 times consecutively, but Mana Cost increases upon consecutive uses
Daggers Skills
- Shadow Strike – Move behind a target and deal damage.
- Inject Venom – Adds Weaken: Poison to all attacks for 6 seconds. The poison lasts for 6 seconds, deals damage over time, stops health regeneration and can be stacked up to 10 times.
- Brutal Incision – Deals heavy damage. Increases Critical Hit Chance if the target is at or below 50% Health.
- Umbral Spirit – Deal damage to all enemies within a 4 metre radius. Enemies whom you’ve poisoned are also hit with two additional attacks.
- Predatory Strike – Deals heavy damage. The damage is increased by on targets under the effect of your Burning, Curse, or Poison Damage over Time.
Passives
Below are explanations of the passives, including how they can synergise with other passives and skills.
Passive | Passive |
---|---|
Full of Corruption | Assassin’s Instincts |
Wraith’s Beckon | Vicious Fangs |
Vampiric Contract | Wrathful Edge |
Devotion and Emptiness | Assassin’s Step |
Wand & Tome Passives
- Full of Corruption – Your maximum damage and Mana Regen increases for 6s if the target you applied Weaken to dies. Stacks up to 3 times.
- Wraith’s Beckon – Increases the Duration of Curses you inflict and the chance to inflict Curses.
- Vampiric Contract – Restores Health of an allied target by a percentage of the damage you dealt to a target under the influence of your Curse. If a friendly target is not within your Range, your Health is restored instead.
- Devotion and Emptiness – Skill Heal increases and Skill Cooldown decreases during the day. Skill damage over time increases and Curse Skill Cooldown decreases at night.
Daggers Passives
- Assassin’s Instincts – Increases your Melee, Ranged and Magic Critical Hit Chance.
- Vicious Fangs – Increases your Melee, Ranged and Magic Critical Hit Chance when attacking a target inflicted by your Poison.
- Wrathful Edge – Increases your Critical Hit Damage by a substantial amount.
- Assassin’s Step – Increases Move Speed, Attack Speed and Mana Regen upon defeating your target. The first skill used within the Duration will not consume any Mana. The effect lasts longer at night.
Skills and Passives Upgrade Priority
Upgrading Skills and Passives in the right order will make combat a lot easier in Throne and Liberty. However, it also takes quite a long because you need so-called “Growth Stones” to upgrade and the higher quality ones are difficult to get. Therefore it is important to plan ahead which skills you want to upgrade first.
Note: You unlock higher level skills already in a higher quality such as Rare or Epic. So you won’t have to upgrade all of the Skills from Uncommon to Rare.

Wand & Tome and Dagger Build Weapon Mastery
While you are playing with a weapon type you also gain points in Weapon Mastery for our build. This allows you to get additional perks that increase your character’s power in Throne and Liberty. This automatically progresses slowly while you are playing with your weapon equipped.
For our Throne and Liberty Longbow & Dagger Build we are going to focus on the Damage section of the Wand & Tome Weapon Mastery Tree.
- Base Damage
- Damage Bonus
- Witch’s Contract
- Base Damage
- Range Up
- Regenerative Meditation
- Cooldown Speed
- Wisdom
- Deep Pain
For the Dagger Weapon Mastery tree, we are going to use the Assassination section.
Equipment Armour and Jewelry
When you are leveling up this build don’t worry too much about gear. The gear itself only becomes important after level 50. Therefore make sure to simply equip whatever you find and focus on leveling up your skills. Make sure to read our Throne and Liberty Equipment Guide to understand the basics of how gear works. Additionally, we also recommend reading the Throne and Liberty Gear Enchanting Guide to get an understanding of how you can improve your gear and why it is important.
Important: Getting the correct traits for each item piece is very time-consuming, even if you don’t have the perfect traits the build will still work perfectly fine.
Weapons
For this build, we are using Lequirus’ Grip, an Epic quality Wand & Tome weapon that automatically gives you stealth when you are at low health, giving you a quick window of opportunity to escape or recover. The chosen dagger is less important – we are using Minezerok’s Dagger which applies a Curse to weaken an enemy’s Melee Defence, but you could use another dagger instead as long as it has decent stats.
Type | Item | Optimal Traits |
---|---|---|
Main-hand Wand & Tome | Lequirus’ Grip | Magic Hit, Magic Critical Hit, Magic Heavy Attack Chance |
Off-hand Daggers | Minezerok’s Dagger | Melee Hit, Melee Critical Hit, Melee Heavy Attack Chance |
The Lequirus’ Thorny Edge drops from Paola’s Dimension Chest. You get that chest from the Group Dungeons that can be accessed here on the Throne and Liberty Map. Minezerok’s Dagger drops from Minezork in the Shadowed Crypt (MAP).
Armour and Accessories
With our setup we are going to use the Death Set, which gives you extra Critical Damage and Attack Speed, making for a very powerful DPS-oriented item set.
- Death Set
- 2 Items: Critical Damage +21%
- 4 Items: Attack Speed +10%
Type | Item | Optimal Traits |
---|---|---|
Head | Reaper’s Black Mask | Ranged Evasion, Magic Evasion, Mana Regen |
Cloak | Archpriest’s Devotion | Max Mana, Mana Regen, Skill Damage Resistance |
Chest | Pitch Black Celebration Cloth | Max Mana, Mana Regen, Melee Evasion |

How to Play the Wand & Tome and Dagger Build in TL
Now that we have explained how to create the Wand & Tome & Dagger DPS build, we will cover the best ways to play the build to get the best out of it, including combos and general tips.
Wand & Tome and Daggers Build Combos & Rotation
While you can play the Wand Tome & Dagger build on a casual level by just using random skills or spamming the same skill over and over again, the more skilled player will make the most of their skills and passives, many of which can be used in a certain order to buff the final damage output of each skill – these are known as combos.
There are several valid combos with the Wand & Tome and Dagger build, depending on the situation (single-target, AOE, etc). Generally speaking these revolve around poisoning your target to make use of the Vicious Fangs passive, which increases your Critical Hit chance when attacking foes that you have poisoned. Therefore it is often a good idea to open your attacks on a target with Inject Venom, and try to ensure that your targets are poisoned as much as possible – this build works best when attacking poisoned targets!
How to Heal with the Wand & Tome and Daggers Build
You can use the Swift Healing skill to heal yourself or an ally for decent amount. When needed, you can repeat the skill up to two more times without waiting for the cooldown, but doing so will cost you progressively more Mana with each use, so be wary of this and only do it when really needed. Try to steer clear of taking avoidable damage so you don’t need to burn all of your Mana on self-healing.
Wand & Tome and Daggers Tips & Tricks
- Don’t focus too much on gear early on. Gear farming only becomes important after you hit max level.
- Get equipment that gives you extra Max Health or stat buffs at the beginning.
- Always keep track of your cooldowns, especially on the high cooldown Skills.
