TLDR Summary of the Greninja ex Deck List
TLDR: Greninja ex is a fighting-type Pokémon that uses Water Energy. This puts us at an advantage against lightning-type Pokémon. It has a strong one energy attack that deals a massive 170 damage and also allows you to search any card in your deck and put it in your hand. The secondary attack is a bit harder to set up but also not a huge problem with the Double Turbo Energy.
This attack allows us to deal damage to two of the opponent’s benched Pokémon. We focus more on the opponent’s bench than their active Pokémon with our setup. We also run Pidgeot ex to pick any card in our deck. We have Greninja ex and Pidgeot ex to pick whatever cards we want in our deck.
Rotom V is here for the early game to give us extra draw power via its Instant Charge ability.
For late end game we also have an ace up our sleeve with Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex that deals a massive 240 damage with its Blood Moon attack. It only costs one energy due to the Elder’s Technique Ability, which reduces the cost for each prize card the opponent has taken. Additionally, it is a basic Pokémon, so it can be placed and instantly attacked with.

How to play the Greninja ex Deck TCG
I will explain most of the important cards of our Greninja ex Deck Build for the Pokémon card game here.
Greninja ex
Greninja ex TWM is a stage 2 evolution Pokémon. You must evolve Froakie into Frogadier to get Greninja ex or use a Rare Candy. Greninja’s Ninja Blade attack only costs one Water Energy. It still deals 170 damage plus you can go pick up whatever card you need for your next turn. This is a good attack to start with, but the real challenge for your opponent comes from the secondary Duplicate Barrage attack.
We use the Double Turbo Energy or the Neo Upper Energy to faster prepare the attack and deal 100-120 damage to two of the opponent’s benched Pokémon. This can massively interfere with the opponent’s strategy and is our key tool to defeat the opponent.
Pidgeot ex and Rotom V
Rotom V is here for our early game prep to get extra draw power via its Instant Charge ability. We can also attach the Forest Seal Stone to it and get another card that we need out of the deck into our hands.
Pidgeot ex takes more preparation because you need to get a Rare Candy to evolve it. Once ready you can go pick whatever card you want out of the deck with its Quick Search ability.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex is only used in the late-end game. It is a basic Pokémon that deals a massive 240 damage and only requires one energy because of the Elder’s Technique ability that reduces the cost of the attack for every prize card the opponent has taken.
Arven
Arven allows us to get any important Item Card and a Pokémon Tool card. you could get a Nest Ball and the Forest Seal Stone with it. The Nest Ball allows you to get Rotom V where you can attach the Forest Seal Stone and get another card you need. That way you establish your early game draw power with the Instant Charge ability.
Iono, Eri, Roxanne
Iono is here to both give us a new chance at cards but also mess with the opponent’s hand. Roxanne can be used in a similar way but only in late game. Eri allows you to discrd two Item cards of your opponent’s hand that are important to him.
Professor Turo’s Scenario
Professor Turo’s Scenario is in the deck to get rid of our Rotom V that we only needed in early game to get extra cards. It often becomes a vulnerability in mid or endgame. But with Professor Turo’s Scenario you can remove it from the bench.
Buddy-Buddy Poffin, Nest Ball, Ultra Ball
To establish our bench with the Greninja ex deck we have plenty of item cards that we can use. The Buddy-Buddy Poffin allows us to get Froakie and Pidgey out of the deck. The Nest Ball can be used to get Rotom V or Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex. And the Ultra Ball allows us to search for any Pokémon in our deck.
Enhanced Hammer
Enhanced Hammer can get rid of cards like a Mist Energy, Gift Energy or the new Legacy Energy ace card (Take 1 prize card instead of 2).
There are more cards in the deck but most of those are self-explanatory. I explained the most important ones above.
Greninja ex Deck Variations
Another popular variant of the Greninja ex deck combines it with Froslass. It evolves from Snorunt. Its ability, Chilling Curtain, allows you to place one damage counter on each Pokémon with an Ability (yours and your opponent’s). This can add extra pressure for low health Pokémon, especially if combined with the Duplicate Barrage from Greninja ex that deals 120 damage to two of the opponent’s benched Pokémon.
Additionally, you can also add one Hawlucha. When you play the card you can choose two of the opponent’s benched Pokémon and add one damage counter on each of them. This is a very advanced tactic. Therefore I only recommend using Hawlucha when you know the deck well to make the right calls at the right time.
If you play with Froslass, add Irida to your deck. That way you can easily get any water-type Pokémon from your deck plus an item card.
Cleffa is another great card that increases your draw power at the beginning of the game.
