Today we are going to take a look at how to get the Decaying Steed mount in Diablo 4. This special mount is one of many mounts that you can obtain in Diablo 4 like the Spectral Charger.
To ride any mount you will have to first progress the campaign an complete the quest “Mount: Donan’s Favor. However, you can already acquire mounts but just not ride them.
How to get the Decaying Steed Mount in Diablo 4?
The Decaying Steed mount in Diablo 4 drops from Treasure Goblins. Treasure Goblins appear randomly all over the world, you have to be pretty lucky to actually meet one. Treasure Goblins will try to run away from you and use a portal to get away. You have to hit them to interrupt their teleportation sequence. They will also drag you through tons of monsters that aggro on you, make sure to not lose track of the Treasure Goblin.
Once you have defeated the Treasure Goblin it can drop plenty of great loot, including the Reins of the Decaying Steed mount. But of course the drop chance is low.
That means you can’t really predict when you will get the Decaying Steed since it is a completely random drop from a Treasure Goblin that also randomly spawns. Pray to RNG to eventually get it. In most cases you will try to hunt down the Treasure Goblins anyway for the juicy loot, so eventually it will drop.
