In this guide, we will explain how Soulframe’s weapon Reforge system works and what the various Joineries (upgrade materials) are used for.

This guide is up-to-date with Soulframe Preludes 15.

What is Reforging in Soulframe

Reforging allows you to change which Virtue(s) your weapon is attuned to in Soulframe, or strengthen its scaling with a Virtue it’s already attuned to.

The practical purpose of this process is to increase your weapon’s damage scaling, provided your character is specced into the matching Virtue.

There are several different Joinery types which are applied to different weapon types (melee, ranged, magic). Furthermore, each Joinery is blessed by a deity, determining which Virtue it promotes, and the blessing has a strength that determines how many attunement pips it will add to your weapon.

Please note this system has been substantially reworked several times in recent Soulframe updates, so it may be a likely candidate for further sweeping changes in future.

How to Reforge a Weapon in Soulframe

To Reforge a weapon, you must first recruit Tuvalkane, the blacksmith ancestor. Rank 2 standing with Tuvalkane is required to open the Reforging menu. Once this is done, follow these steps to Reforge your weapon:

  1. Obtain the desired Joinery for your weapon upgrade (see the list below)
  2. Visit Tuvalkane in Nightfold
  3. Navigate to the Reforge tab
  4. Choose the weapon you want to Reforge
  5. Verify you have the required materials. This includes a Joinery and the same materials that were initially used to craft the weapon.
  6. Select the desired Joinery
  7. Press the Reforge button.

Reforging is completed instantly, unlike regular crafting, which has a crafting timer.

Soulframe Reforging and Joineries

All Joineries & Effects List

Below you will find a list of all Joineries currently available in Soulframe.

Each variant can either be blessed by Mora (Courage), Iridis (Spirit) or Saphene (Grace).

Furthermore, Joineries can be either once, twice or thrice blessed, determining the strength of the attunement to be added. Not all joineries have all three tiers available; for example, Gildaur cannot be twice-blessed.
