Welcome to our Mora’s Hand Build Guide for Soulframe. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can create a powerful Mora’s Hand build that deals massive AoE damage and can comfortably solo all content in the game. The build is good for both solo and co-op play.
Mora’s Hand is an unlockable Pact in Soulframe. It is centred around fire damage and is excellent at clearing hordes of enemies thanks to its huge AoE damage potential.
This build is up to date with Soulframe Preludes 11. We will continue to update it as Soulframe evolves in the run-up to its full release.

Mora’s Hand Pact Overview
Take Mora’s Hand, Envoy. Make a pact with the red sun. An honour once held only by the mighty Kings and Queens of Midrath is yours. Do not sully her flame.
Mora’s Hand is a Courage-attuned Pact that specialises in fire and AoE damage. It is a decent melee fighter that can deal good damage with Courage-attuned weapons, and can also be played with a Longbow to increase its AoE potential even further.
Mora’s Hand takes quite a long time to unlock – it comes as a reward for reaching Rank 5 of the Kith of Kings Faction, so you’ll need to attain 25,000 Faction Standing in Kith of Kings to unlock it. If you are a member of the Alca’s Children or Silent Rose faction, you’ll need to change your faction to Kith of Kings, which may require additional work, depending on how far you’ve progressed in terms of Faction Standing.

Mora’s Hand is a relatively easy Pact to play thanks to its versatility and immediate access to high AoE damage. By the time you unlock this Pact, you have almost certainly levelled up at least a couple of weapons and crafted some improved armour, making the low-level experience of Mora’s Hand even easier.
Arcanics
The Mora’s Hand Pact has the following Arcanics:
| Arcanic | Description |
|---|---|
|
Ignus Wroth |
Wake the old flame, set the earth ablaze. Enemies in area of effect take fire damage.
An AoE spell that has a lengthy cast time but deals heavy fire damage to nearby enemies. |
|
Ember |
Do not stoke the quiet ember. Enemies that dare attack trigger a blast of defensive flame.
While active, enemies who attack you will take a small amount of fire damage and receive a Burning DoT (damage over time). |
|
Inferno |
Cast an arc of inferno. Bonus damage if the target is already on fire.
A single-target fire attack. This can be tricky to use because it has a lengthy cast time, and its damage is rather low if the enemy isn’t already burning. |
Mora’s Hand Playstyle
Mora’s Hand excels at AoE damage thanks to the Ignus Wroth Arcanic. It is arguably the best class in the game at rapidly clearing groups of enemies.
One of the weaknesses of Mora’s Hand is the long cast time of its Arcanic powers. Ensure you have enough space before casting an Arcanic power. You can do this by kiting and using obstructions to slow enemies down.
Ember should be used when you are fighting a strong enemy or a group of enemies – any who land a hit on you will take fire damage and begin burning. You can then use Inferno against a burning enemy for an extra burst of damage.
How to Unlock Mora’s Hand in Soulframe
Mora’s Hand is granted as a reward when reaching Rank 5 of the Kith of Kings Faction. If you have already chosen a different reward for that tier, it can instead be purchased from the Kith of Kings favours shop for an additional 4,000 Faction Standing (this still requires you to be Rank 5 in the Kith of Kings).
After purchasing Mora’s Hand, you can craft it with the help of Tuvalkane in Nightfold.
This process requires 25,000 Kith of Kings standing (29,000 if you craft the Pact instead of choosing it as a rank-up reward), which can be quite time-consuming to attain. For tips on gaining Faction Standing as quickly as possible, check our Faction Progression Loop Guide.
Mora’s Hand Build Best Virtues
The most important Virtue for the Mora’s Hand Pact is Courage, which will boost your HP and the damage of your Courage-attuned weapons. It will also boost the damage of Ignus Wroth, allowing you to deal heaps of AoE fire damage.
You should put all of your points into Courage, because this will give you the maximum possible damage. There’s little use in investing in either Spirit or Grace for this Mora’s Hand build.
Mora’s Hand Best Equipment
In this section, we will explain the best armour to wear as Mora’s Hand and the best weapons to equip.
Mora’s Hand Best Armour Setup
Currently, the armour system in Soulframe isn’t very complicated. There are three armour stats – Physical, Magic and Stability.
- Physical reduces the damage you take from physical attacks, such as ordinary weapon strikes and arrows.
- Magic reduces the damage you take from all magical attacks, such as lightning and fire spells.
- Stability improves your resistance to stagger effects, making it harder for enemies to stun you or knock you to the ground.
All three of these stats add up to give you a total armour rating, which is visible in the top-right of your character menu.
There are currently no armour pieces or sets that grant special effects, so you should keep crafting better armour until you have the highest possible rating in each armour stat.
Note that it is sometimes better to have a balanced armour distribution that is a little lower on your overall armour stat. For example, having 5 points in each armour stat for a total armour of 15 is better than having 18 points all in physical armour.
Mora’s Hand Best Weapons
I highly recommend Duhk Halic, a Courage-attuned Polearm. This weapon has a very high damage ceiling, excellent reach and can cleave multiple enemies with its heavy attack.
The downside of Duhk Halic is its slow attack speed, but it’s quite easy to learn to manage this, since the high attack reach allows you to initiate your attacks from a relatively safe distance – something which you should get in the habit of doing with any Polearm, since their long reach is their primary advantage.
If you don’t like the Polearm, you can swap it out for any other Courage-attuned weapon. A Long Blade like Igni Mora is a popular choice, and Short Blades are also great at dealing sustained DPS thanks to their rapid, high-damage attacks.
Reforge your Polearm with Verite: Blessed by Mora, which will grant extra damage, increased perfect throw damage and reduced stability cost when parrying an attack.
Mora’s Hand Best Sidearm
Sidearms are small weapons in the Short Blade or Flyblade category. They can be equipped in your Sidearm weapon slot, allowing you to swap to that weapon at any time.
The Sidearm is of low importance for Mora’s Hand. I tend to opt for a Courage-Attuned Flyblade, which offers a rapid-fire ranged attack that can lock onto an enemy without the need for aiming, but the damage on these attacks is quite weak. You can opt for a melee-focused Short Blade Sidearm instead, but this tends to feel quite redundant next to your more powerful primary weapon.
You should Reforge your Sidearm with either Verite: Blessed by Mora for maximum damage, or
Gildaur: Blessed by Mora for slightly less damage but with added Life Steal.
Mora’s Hand Best Runes & Totems
For your Polearm weapon, I recommend slotting the following Runes and Totems:
| Slot | Item | Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rune | Everflame | +1 Attack Totem Slot, Flame Damage Bonus | Loot from Discharged Nimrod boss |
| Attack Totem 1 | The Scavenger (Rat) | Attacks deal extra damage to a nearby enemy | Free or charm Rats |
| Attack Totem 2 | The Scavenger (Rat) | Attacks deal extra damage to a nearby enemy | Free or charm Rats |
| Defence Totem | The Maker (Beaver) | Blocking reflects Stagger | Free or charm Beavers |
| Utility Totem | The Messenger (Squirrel) | Extra Smite chance on attacks | Free or charm Squirrels |
The Runes and Totems on your sidearm are much less important because there’s no reason to use it most of the time. But you can go with a similar setup if you have the spare Runes and Totems.
Please note that Runes have a low drop rate, so you might need to defeat the Discharged Nimrod boss several times before you obtain the Everflame rune.
You can learn more about these upgrades in our Runes & Totems Guide.
Combat Arts Upgrade Priority
As you use the weapons mentioned above, you will gain XP towards upgrading the Combat Arts for those weapon types.
In this section, we have some advice for levelling up your Combat Arts for Mora’s Hand.
Polearm
For the Polearm, we recommend upgrading your Combat Arts in this order:
- Helm Gong
- Headlong
- Spectre Strike
- Smite
- Final Blow
- Riposte
- Unyielding
- Vaunt
- Smite Rank 2
- Smite Rank 3
- Vaunt Rank 2
- Vaunt Rank 3
The most important Polearm Art for this build is Headlong, which allows you to charge your heavy attacks more quickly. Smite is also important, as it will allow you to gain bonus damage and synergise with the Sympathy Pact Art (see below) to absorb HP from enemies.
Unyielding is also notable, while not a high-priority unlock, it does allow you to parry enemy heavy attacks, increasing the number of ripostes you can pull off.
Mora’s Hand Upgrade Priority
We recommend upgrading your Mora’s Hand Pact in the following order:
- Hungry Flame
- Rooted
- Wingspan
- Sympathy
- Smolder
- Akin
- Iridis’ Favour
- Saphene’s Gift
- Mora’s Pride
- Voided
- Akin Rank 2
- Mora’s Pride Rank 2
- Sympathy Rank 2
- Mora’s Pride Rank 3
- Mora’s Pride Rank 4
- Voided Rank 2
- Smolder Rank 2
- Smolder Rank 3
The first Mora’s Hand Art, Hungry Flame, is a potentially interesting build option that boosts your weapon damage when you take fire damage. Unfortunately, there aren’t many situations in Soulframe that inflict fire damage on you, so for the time being, we only put in the one required point to progress to the other branches.
A point in Rooted helps you to resist stagger effects from enemies. One point is typically enough for me, but you may need more if you haven’t crafted armour with higher stagger resistance yet.
Sympathy is a big help for Mora’s hand, because it has no innate healing abilities. When you Smite an enemy, Sympathy will restore your HP, and Voided will deal additional damage to the enemy. To Smite a foe, press your Spirit Vision key when you see a glowing spot on your enemy.
We maximise Mora’s Pride for the highest amount of Courage possible, which will significantly improve your damage with weapons and with the Ignus Wroth arcanic.
