Welcome to The First Descendant ERASER Build (Scout Rifle). This Eraser Build is updated for Season 3 Episode 2. The Eraser is built to counter the adaptive defense system. It also deals AoE damage. ERASER is very effective against breach spawns in Axion.
This spec is optimized against Colossus bosses, you must hit the weak point of Colossus to maximize damage.

Next, let us take a look at an optimized ERASER Build for The First Descendant.
Here is all the info you need to create a powerful ERASER Build:
Note: High-Level Weapon Cores boost your weapons’ damage numbers into insanity. Make sure to get weapon cores as soon as possible!
Eraser Modules
Modules are an important part of every weapon build in The First Descendant. For the Eraser scout rifle, we want to focus on Multi-hit, elemental damage, and increase the explosion radius.
- Elemental Damage: Adjust the elemental modules depending on what enemies you fight (Enemy elemental weakness).
| Module Slot | Module Name | Socket Type |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rifling Reinforcement | |
| 2 | Action and Reaction | |
| 3 | Toxic Enhancement | |
| 4 | Poison Priority | |
| 5 | Fire Rate UP | |
| 6 | Charge Amplification | |
| 7 | Multi-Percussion Sight | |
| 8 | Multi-Piercing Sights | |
| 9 | Weak Point Sight | |
| 10 | Payout |
Weapon Readjustment
You can use the Weapon Readjustment at the Weapon Workbench in Albion. Here are the best Weapon Readjustments for the ERASER:
- Firearm ATK
- Elemental Damage (Preferably whatever the enemy is weak to that you are trying to defeat)
- Weak Point Damage
- Multi-Hit Chance
Try to upgrade the Weapon Readjustments to at least purple quality.
Weapon Cores
Weapon Cores juice up your damage quite tremendously. However, especially the later-level Weapon Cores are difficult to get. So start with whatever weapon cores you have available. Weapon Cores drop in the Void Erosion Purge endgame activity.
Higher level Weapon Cores drop in the higher level Void Erosion Purge levels in The First Descendant. However, you can gradually work towards the highest level. I recommend trying to get to level six as soon as possible, since it won’t require clearing many stages and will already increase the power of your weapon tremendously.
Best Weapon Cores for the ERASER:
Fire Rate (Free Augmentation)
Toxic ATK (Attribute Augmentation)
Toxic ATK (Attribute Augmentation)
Fire Rate (Tactical Augmentation
Sprint Speed or Grapple Hook (Precision Augmentation)
The Elemental Damage and Critical Hit Damage cores are important for the ERASER scout rifle, the others not that much!
ERASER Lore
The ERASER (Eradication and Removal Automated System by Enzymatic Reaction) is an unusual weapon whose development was spearheaded by the Red Arms Medical Corps. It was necessitated by the powerful external defense mechanism of the Breach Creatures in the Axion Plains.
The Breach Creatures and the Breach Cluster Sacs that control them had an adaptive defensive mechanism that enabled them to adapt to the damage they receive and increase their resistances accordingly. Thanks to the Medical Corps and Dr. Kate, who collected and studied biosamples from the Breach Creatures, it was possible to create an enzyme that could reverse the immune response.
The problem was there was no effective way to deliver the enzyme to the targets. To solve this problem, they used a support gun that had been designed for the Medical Corps’ decontamination work. Originally designed to hold chemicals for decontamination and spray them over a wide area, this support gun was specially modified to hold the enzyme in a stable state and spray it on the target location. It was now possible to completely eradicate organic matter over a targeted area.
