Today we will take an in-depth look at the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck List Guide for the Pokémon Trading Card Game TCG. Teal Mask Ogerpon ex is a new card launched with the Twilight Masquerade (TWM) content for the Pokémon TCG.

The Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck allows you to charge up several Grass Energy via the Teal Dance ability. We then use Sinistcha or Sinistcha ex to deal massive damage to the opponent’s Pokémon. The Infusion Retribution attack can deal up to 280 to any Pokémon of the opponent.

TLDR Summary of the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck

TLDR: Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Sinistcha and Sinistcha ex work great with each other. Each Teal Mask Ogerpon ex can attach a Basic Grass Energy from your hand to it. So you can do that up to four times if you have them all on the bench. Plus, you can attach one manually. Sinistcha can then use the Spill the Tea attack that allows you to discard three Grass Energy cards from any of your Pokémon. Each card discarded deals 70 damage. That means you can deal up to 210 damage with this card. Sinistcha is a stage 1 evolution Pokémon and, therefore, doesn’t take too much time to set up.

Sinistcha is your main attacker. Sinistcha ex comes into play in the mid or late game and this is also why we have 15 Green Energy in our deck. Sinistcha ex can use the Re-Brew attack to deal massive damage. Place two damage counters on one of your opponent’s Pokémon for each Basic Grass Energy in your discard pile. Afterward, shuffle the Grass Energy back into your deck.

That means you could deal a total of 280 damage in one hit to any Pokémon of the opponent. This attack is great in the late game to deal the final blow to the opponent! To get more Grass Energy into the discard we can also use Radiant Greninja which in turn gets us more draw power.

We also have Wyrdeer V that can surprise the opponent with its Frontier Road ability and then use the Psyshield Bash attack. For example, if we have 8 Grass Energy split up between our Pokemon, we can place Wyrdeer V and move all energy over to it. Then, it can use the attack to deal 320 damage.

Note: Always decide to go first if you can because we have one copy of Carmine in our deck.

How to play the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck TCG

Let me explain how the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex and Sinistcha deck works. The deck itself isn’t that complicated, but you still need to know when to play the correct phase. The most common error is that players don’t prepare their bench in the early game.

The first time you get a chance to look into your deck, make sure to check what cards are in there. For example, we only have one copy of Wyrdeer V, Radiant Greninja, Bidoof, Bibarel and Sinistcha ex in the deck. If one of those cards is in the prize pool you might have to adjust your strategy or use the Heavy Ball to get it out. Sinistcha ex and Wyrdeer V aren’t used until late game so you might want to focus on Bidoof and Bibarel because they help us draw extra cards.

It is recommeded always to have 2-3 Teal Mask Ogerpon ex on the bench to keep the Grass Energy supply high for our main attacker Sinistcha!

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex

the star of our deck. Teal Mask Ogerpon ex is a new basic Pokémon with access to the Teal Dance ability. This allows you to attach a basic Grass Energy from your hand to this Pokémon. If you have several Ogerpon ex active, you can use this once for each of them. That means you could theoretically attach four Grass Energy per turn in this way, plus one manually from your hand.

Ogerpon ex’s Myriad Leaf Shower attach is only used when an opponent has a lot of energy cards attached, otherwise it won’t deal that mich damage.

But the main objective with Teal Mask Ogerpon ex is to attach as much Grass Energy as possible so you can attack with Sinistcha’s Spill the Tea attack.

Sinistcha and Sinistcha ex

Sinistcha is our main attacker and we have three copies in our deck. Sinistcha ex is only useful in the late game and we only have one copy in our deck. Sinistcha’s Spill the Tea attack allows us to deal up to 210 damage. That is a lot of damage for a single prize card like Sinistcha. And Ogerpon ex supplies us with enough Grass Energy to deal maximum damage!

Both of these Pokémon are stage 1 evolution and evolve from Poltchageist. It has the nice ability Storehouse Hideaway that prevents all damage from and effects of attacks from the opponent’s Pokémon done to it. This is just a small bonus but it is usually easy to evolve it anyway after we placed it on the bench.

Sinistcha ex comes into play in the late game. We use its Re-Brew attack. It allows us to place two damage counters on one of the opponent’s Pokémon for each basic Grass Energy in our discard pile. Afterward, shuffle the used Grass Energy back into our deck. In theory we can deal up to 280 damage with this attack. But it is only effective when we have enough Grass Energy in the discard pile. That is why we want to wait with using it until later in the game. You want to get the killing blow with Sinistcha ex because you can also attack the bench which often has unprotected lower health Pokémon on the bench that reward us two prize cards!

Wyrdeer V

Wyrdeer V is another attack that we want to reserve for the late game. Only use this card when you are sure you will get a knockout. Wyrdeer V has the Frontier Road ability that allows us to move it from the bench directly to the active spot and bring any energy along with it. For example, we have eight Grass Energy between our Pokémon in play. Now we place Wyrdeer V on the bench and activate the ability. Place it in the active spot and get all eight Grass energy to it. Now we we deal 320 damage without having to attach energy manually. Let’s call it a Surprise Attack!

Bibarel and Radiant Greninja

Bibarel evolves from Bidoof. It is our first priority to get Bibarel ready. Because this is our main draw engine. We also have Radiant Greninja to draw extra cards. However, if Bibarel or Bidoof are in the prize cards, I recommend trying to get it out with the Heavy Ball.

But don’t worry, we also have other ways to increase our draw power if Bibarel gets stuck or knocked out.

Iono, Professor’s Research and Unfair Stamp

Iono allows us to mess with the opponent’s hand and swap out our own cards. The Unfair Stamp has the same function, but if possible use it at the start of the game because it will severely limit the opponent’s capabilities if he doesn’t have any draw power set up. However, one of your Pokémon needs to be knocked out; otherwise, you can’t use this card. But because we have Sinistcha in the active spot that shouldn’t be too much of a problem with only 70 HP.

Professor’s Research can be used to discard more Grass Energy into our discard pile for the Sinistcha ex attack.

Carmine

Carmine is only useful during your first turn if you go first. Therefore, always decide to go first, if possible, with this Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck. Carmine allows us allows us to get more draw power during our first turn. We want to prepare our bench as much as possible.

Bug Catching Set, Earthen Vessel and Gardenia’s Vigor

The Bug Catching Set gets us 2 in any combination of Grass Pokémon and Basic Grass Energy and put them in our hands. The Earthen Vessel allows us to search two Energy cards in our deck too. We have four copies of each of these cards in our deck because getting enough energy is vital to our strategy with the Ogerpon ex and Sinistcha ex deck.

Gardenia’s Vigor is only used when you are in need of additional Grass Energy. You can draw two cards and then attach up to two Grass Energy to one of your benched Pokémon. For example, when you want to prepare the final attack with Wyrdeer V, it makes sense to attach as much Grass Energy as you need to your Pokémon to get the final knock out.

Penny

Penny can be used to place Teal Mask Ogerpon ex back into our hand. When its health is low you can use Penny to place it back into your hand. That way the opponent won’t get to take two prize cards!

There are more cards in the deck, but they should be self-explanatory. I explained all of the important cards for the Ogerpon ex and Sinistcha ex deck list.

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck Variations

The Teal Mask Ogerpon ex also works great with Blissey ex or Raging Bolt ex. Blissey ex is super tanky but needs a lot of energy to attack, Teal Mask Ogerpon ex provides once again th Grass Energy attach power. With Raging Bolt ex its a similar situation where the mask also provides faster energy attachment in combination with Sandy Shocks ex.

Instead of the Unfair Stamp you could also use the Maximum Belt. It can make a big difference in endgame to get an addition 50 damage off.

Note: I will provide the full deck lists with the Blissey ex or Raging Bolt ex in the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex Deck Import Code section.
