This is a Single-Target damage setup optimized against Colossus fights.

Next, let us take a look at an optimized Perforator Build for The First Descendant. The Peforator is best built with a high crit rate and fast fire rate in combination with a bigger Magazine. If you are using a Gley Build make sure to change the magazine mods out with another crit module.

Here is all the info you need to create a powerful Perforator Build:

Note: High-Level Weapon Cores boost your weapons’ damage numbers into insanity. Make sure to get weapon cores as soon as possible!

Weapon Readjustment

You can use the Weapon Readjustment at the Weapon Workbench in Albion. Here are the best Weapon Readjustments for the Perforator:

  • Firearm ATK
  • Elemental Damage
  • Firearm Critical Hit Damage
  • Firearm Critical Hit Rate

Try to upgrade the Weapon Readjustments to at least purple quality.

Weapon Cores

Weapon Cores juice up your damage quite tremendously. However, especially the later-level Weapon Cores are difficult to get. So start with whatever weapon cores you have available. Weapon Cores drop in the Void Erosion Purge endgame activity.

Higher level Weapon Cores drop in the higher level Void Erosion Purge levels in The First Descendant. However, you can gradually work towards the highest level. I recommend trying to get to level six as soon as possible, since it won’t require clearing many stages and will already increase the power of your weapon tremendously.

Best Weapon Cores for the Perforator:

  • Free Augmentation Icon TFDChill ATK (Free Augmentation)
  • Hit Augmentation Icon tfdFirearm Critical Hit Rate (Hit Augmentation)
  • Tactical Augmentation icon tfdFire Rate (Tactical Augmentation)
  • Tactical Augmentation icon tfdFire Rate (Tactical Augmentation)
  • special augmentation icon tfdFlexย (Special Augmentation)

Fire Rate weapon cores are important on the Perforator hand cannon. Additionally, you can swap out Chill ATK for any other attribute depending on enemy weaknesses!

Perforator Hand Cannon Lore

TFD Perforator Icon

The key to the development of the first Explosive Scanner was miniaturization. The idea of scanning an enemy with the impact of an explosion to identify their weaknesses was easy to say, but whether it could be used in the field was another matter entirely.

Eventually, the developers succeeded in encasing this tiny scanner in a bullet after treating it with an extreme shock-absorbing coating. A sophisticated processing step that enhanced internal firearm stability to an extreme level, which ensured that the scanner would not explode inside the chamber. The Descendants were initially concerned that this bullet may explode when fired, but have been happy to use it after its safety was proven. This firearm is considered a monumental gun that paved the way for the development of many other specialized bullets.
