Top 3 Tank Characters in The First Descendant
Right now, not many tank-specific characters exist in The First Descendant. However, here are my top 3 picks if I had to select the top three.

1. Ajax Character – Tank
The First Descendant Ajax is the best tank in the game because he can deploy shields that absorb damage. That not only benefits him, but also his teammates that can take cover behind the shields and still shoot through them.
Additionally, Ajax’s skills have two different modes. If you use a skill it will charge up Void Energy. If you use a skill and the Void Energy is already full it will enhance the skill instead, giving it additional effects. You can see all the enhanced skills here on The First Descendant Ajax Build.
Ajax is a tanker who utilizes Void Energy. He leads the team with a Forcefield that protects allies while deflecting enemy attacks.

2. Kyle Character – Bruiser
The First Descendant Kyle is the second-best tank in The First Descendant. He is also very tanky but unlike Ajax doesn’t have that many shields. As a trade-off, however, his skills are more damage-focused.
Kyle has the advantage of being a very mobile tank thanks to his flying skills. This means you can jump ahead directly into the enemies. And his ultimate skill deals massive AoE damage to anything that is hit. Take a look at our The First Descendant Kyle Build to find out more.
Kyle is a damage-dealing tank who generates and manipulates magnetic fields. He creates a Barrier or radiates Magnetic Force to push enemies back and serves as a strong shield for his teammates.

3. Jayber Character – Supporter/Turret Tank
The First Descendant Jayber isn’t really a tank per se. Right now not many tanks exist in the game. However, as a third choice he gets an honorable mention because of his turrets.
