In Soulframe, players can join one of several factions. Factions are an important part of Soulframe, as they allow you to complete special repeatable missions to increase your faction standing and earn additional rewards.
In this guide, we’ll introduce the playable factions in Soulframe and explain what they are, how they work and how you can join them. This guide is up to date with Soulframe Preludes 11.

What Are Factions in Soulframe?
Factions were added in the Soulframe Preludes 9 update. Currently, there are three joinable factions in Soulframe: Alca’s Children, Kith of Kings and Silent Rose.
Each faction corresponds to the three primary attributes in the game, and the faction you will join first depends on which attribute you pledged to when you created your character – Spirit, Courage or Grace. You will receive a totem in your inventory that identifies you with your faction. Later on, you can change your faction by obtaining a different totem.
Each faction has an “enclave” hidden somewhere in the world – the game’s quest system will lead you to your faction’s enclave fairly early in your adventure.
Once you have found your faction’s enclave, speak to the faction leader to get started. You will then be able to complete special repeatable quests, called Tales, to earn faction XP and extra rewards.
Representatives from your faction will often spawn near your location to offer you a Tale quest. These quests are randomly generated and typically give you a task to clear enemies from a set area, cleanse a corrupted beast, harvest plants or find treasure, among other possibilities. Grinding faction quests is a reliable way to earn loot and crafting materials in Soulframe. More importantly, completing these quests will grant you Faction Standing.
Faction XP goes towards increasing your Faction Standing.
Faction Standing Explained
When you join a faction, your Standing starts at zero. You can check your Faction Standing by going to your faction’s enclave and speaking to the faction leader. Ranking up costs 5,000 Faction Standing, and you’ll need to do this several times to unlock all of the available items.
The faction leader can also sell you various items, such as currency, item fragments, and even new classes. This is done via the Faction Favors menu, also accessed by viewing your Standing at the faction leader. Most of the items require a certain amount of Faction Standing before you can purchase them, however. This means that improving your Faction Standing is one of the most important aspects of progression in Soulframe, because it is the only way to unlock certain important items.
Favors are bought by spending Faction Standing, which means that you will lose progress towards the next faction rank if you purchase a Favor.
Soulframe Factions List
Here is a summary of the three factions currently available in Soulframe:
Alca’s Children
Alca’s Children will be your starting faction if you pledged to Spirit.
Kith of Kings
Kith of Kings will be your starting faction if you pledged to Courage.
Silent Rose
Silent Rose will be your starting faction if you pledged to Grace.
How to Switch Factions in Soulframe
You can only be pledged to one faction at a time in Soulframe, but luckily, it is possible to change your faction. The process is a little similar to changing your class.
Each Faction has a Totem item associated with it, an equippable item that identifies your character with a faction. You receive one of these Totems at the start of the game, pledging you to your starting faction.
To join a different faction:
- Collect the fragments to craft the totem of the faction you want to join.
- Craft the totem of the faction you want to join:
- Alca’s Children: Sproutfolk Seed Totem. Fragments found in Rare Chests in the Glades of Andurin.
- Kith of Kings: Medallion of Mora Totem. Fragments found in Rare Chests in the Dermak Undercity.
- Silent Rose: Rose’s Bodkin Totem. Fragments found in Rare Chests in Midrath.
- Speak with a representative of the new faction while wearing the correct totem.
