Welcome to our Sirin Build Guide for Soulframe. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can create a powerful Sirin build that deals high damage. The build is good for both solo and co-op play.
Sirin is one of the Pacts (classes) available in Soulframe. It focuses primarily on ranged damage, stealth and trickery, and is attuned with the Grace virtue.
This Sirin Build is up to date with Soulframe Preludes 11. We will continue to update it as Soulframe evolves in the run-up to its full release.

Sirin Pact Overview
Borne of a moonlight pond, was he, with an arrow ready-nocked. Take the pact of the Fey assassin, Sirin. Learn the trickster’s glamour, wear the ranger’s shroud. Have Grace, Envoy. For a well-aimed bolt may end a world. It has done so once before.
Sirin is one of the Pacts (classes) in Soulframe. It has an affinity with the Grace virtue, so Sirin players will typically benefit from investing in Grace.
Sirin is a stealthy fighter, adept at hiding and ambushing enemies. This Pact allows you to turn invisible to backstab an enemy more easily, trick enemies with a decoy that attracts attention and explodes, and briefly stun a group of enemies with a flash of blinding light.
Players who pledge to Grace and start the game as the Sirin Pact will start the game with a Longbow. While this weapon is a good fit for Sirin, its lack of defensive options can make it tricky for beginners. Things quickly get easier after a few levels, as you unlock your Arcanics and boost your damage output.
Sirin Arcanics
The Sirin Pact has the following Arcanics:
| Arcanic | Description |
|---|---|
|
Picktrix Powder |
Cast a cloud of magic dust. Enemies are blinded, leaving them vulnerable to sneak attacks.
In practice, this is an AoE stun that stops enemies in their tracks for a few seconds. |
|
Trick of the Light |
Set free your trickster shadow. A decoy draws enemy fire and explodes when foes get too close. |
|
Glamour |
Cast a veil of magicks to hide you from your foes. Float like a nightmoth and attack from behind. |
Sirin Playstyle
Sirin is a tricky class to play at low levels, especially if you just started the game and don’t have any choice of weapons and armour. To begin with, it is fragile and lacks any self-healing or crowd control, and cannot parry attacks until you obtain a melee weapon.
Once you level up a few times and unlock all three of your Arcanics, Sirin begins to feel much stronger. Trick of the Light pairs extremely well with your Longbow, as enemies will gather around your decoy, allowing you to rain down huge AoE damage with your Longbow’s hail of arrows (hold your middle mouse button to charge this up). You can follow this up with Picktrix Powder to stun all of the enemies, giving you time to dish out more AoE attacks.
Sirin works just as well as a melee fighter. You can use any Grace-attuned melee weapon to deal heavy melee damage, particularly by sneaking up behind enemies with the help of the Glamour Arcanic.
How to Unlock Sirin in Soulframe
Sirin is one of three Pacts available at the start of the game.
If you chose a different option as your starting Pact, you can unlock Sirin later by completing the following steps:
- Increase Faction Standing to Rank 3
- Purchase Sacred Shimmer for 3,000 Faction Standing
- Change your Faction to Silent Rose
- Get to Rank 2 of Silent Rose
- Purchase Sirin for 100 Faction Standing
- Craft the Sirin Pact by visiting your Blacksmith in Nightfold
For tips on gaining Faction Standing as quickly as possible, check our Faction Progression Loop Guide.
Sirin Build Best Virtues
The most important Virtue for the Sirin Pact is Grace, which will help to improve your AoE size, stealth and damage with Grace-attuned weapons.
I recommend putting all of your points into Grace, under most circumstances. You could also build into Spirit to reduce the cooldown of your Arcanic powers, but this is sub-optimal because the Sirin class has innate Grace bonuses.
Sirin Best Equipment
In this section, we will explain the best armour to wear as Sirin and the best weapons to equip.
Sirin Best Armour Setup
Currently, the armour system in Soulframe isn’t very complicated. There are three armour stats – Physical, Magic and Stability.
- Physical reduces the damage you take from physical attacks, such as ordinary weapon strikes and arrows.
- Magic reduces the damage you take from all magical attacks, such as lightning and fire spells.
- Stability improves your resistance to stagger effects, making it harder for enemies to stun you or knock you to the ground.
All three of these stats add up to give you a total armour rating, which is visible in the top-right of your character menu.
There are currently no armour pieces or sets that grant special effects, so you should keep crafting better armour until you have the highest possible rating in each armour stat.
Note that it is sometimes better to have a balanced armour distribution that is a little lower on your overall armour stat. For example, having 5 points in each armour stat for a total armour of 15 is better than having 18 points all in physical armour.
Sirin Best Weapons
For this Sirin Build, we recommend using Thistle as your main weapon. This is a Grace-attuned Longbow that will scale very well with the Sirin Pact.
The main purpose of the Longbow is to use its charged attack, which unleashes a hail of arrows against all enemies in the indicated AoE. Charge it up until you hear a sound effect for maximum damage. Make use of Sirin’s Picktrix Powder and Trick of the Light Arcanics to clump enemies together for more effective use of your AoEs.
You can use standard single-target attacks on your Longbow, but they also need to be charged up to get good damage (the uncharged version hits like a wet noodle), making it difficult to utilise when heavily outnumbered or in a tight space. When you have to fight enemies at close quarters or fight a single target who isn’t taking much damage from your AoE, it is better to have a Sidearm that you can use as a melee backup option.
Reforge your Longbow with Quicksilver: Blessed by Saphene, which will grant extra damage, faster weapon charge rate and increased headshot damage multiplier.
Sirin Best Sidearm
Sidearms are small weapons in the Short Blade or Flyblade category. They can be equipped in your Sidearm weapon slot, allowing you to swap to that weapon at any time.
The best Sidearm for this build is Nettle, a Grace-attuned Short Blade. Despite its small size, this dagger has enough damage potential to take on any foe in Soulframe, and it boasts very high attack speed. Its low reach is a weakness, though. Approaching heavily armed enemies head-on with this weapon is risky – try to utilise Sirin’s superior agility to attack from behind or from the sides.
You can also parry enemy attacks with Nettle, so it is better for defending than your Longbow. Sustained blocking does not work very well with a small weapon like this; you’ll get knocked over quite easily. Try to stick to timed blocks.
You should Reforge your Sidearm with either Quicksilver: Blessed by Saphene for maximum damage, or
Gildaur: Blessed by Saphene for slightly less damage but with added Life Steal.
Sirin Best Runes & Totems
For your Longbow weapon, I recommend slotting the following Runes and Totems:
| Slot | Item | Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rune | Alca’s Breath | +1 Utility Totem Slot, +100% Arcanic on Smite | Loot from Etheldred the Weaver boss |
| Attack Totem | The Maker (Beaver) | Attacks reduce enemy armour | Free or charm Beavers |
| Defence Totem | The Crowned (Deer) | Increases your Stability | Free or charm Deer |
| Utility Totem 1 | The Messenger (Squirrel) | Extra Smite chance on attacks | Free or charm Squirrels |
| Utility Totem 2 | The Crowned (Deer) | Restore HP on Smite | Free or charm Deer |
Other strong options for your Longbow’s Attack Totem are Ducks (arrow hail slows enemy movement), Squirrels (Increased bow charge rate) or Rats (attacks deal additional damage to a nearby enemy). We went with Beavers because it can reduce the armour of a whole group of enemies when you use your arrow hail, and some bosses in Soulframe (particularly the Vadagar Stag) have very high armour, which can be very problematic for your single-target damage.
Sidearm Setup:
The Runes and Totems on your sidearm are less important because we use the Longbow most of the time. But since the Sirin is more likely to fall back on their sidearm than any other Pact in Soulframe, it does make sense to set up Totems and Runes for your Sidearm, too. Here is a good Sidearm setup for the Sirin (assuming you are using a Short Blade, not a Flyblade):
| Slot | Item | Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rune | Everflame | +1 Attack Totem Slot, Flame Damage Bonus | Loot from Discharged Nimrod boss |
| Attack Totem 1 | The Scavenger (Rat) | Attacks deal extra damage to a nearby enemy | Free or charm Rats |
| Attack Totem 2 | The Scavenger (Rat) | Attacks deal extra damage to a nearby enemy | Free or charm Rats |
| Defence Totem | The Crowned (Deer) | Increases your Stability | Free or charm Deer |
| Utility Totem | The Messenger (Squirrel) | Extra Smite chance on attacks | Free or charm Squirrels |
Please note that Runes have a low drop rate, so you might need to defeat the Discharged Nimrod boss several times before you obtain the Everflame rune.
You can learn more about these upgrades in our Runes & Totems Guide.
Combat Arts Upgrade Priority
As you use the weapons mentioned above, you will gain XP towards upgrading the Combat Arts for those weapon types.
In this section, we have some advice for levelling up your Combat Arts for this Sirin Build.
Longbow
For the Longbow, we recommend upgrading your Combat Arts in this order:
- Splinter
- Fletching
- Rife Nocked
- Barbed Point
- Camphor Arrow
- Wolfseye
- Rife Nocked Rank 2
- Rife Nocked Rank 3
- Wolfseye Rank 2
- Wolfseye Rank 3
This setup will increase the number of arrows in your charged arrow hail AoE and increase your Smite Chance, which will combine with your Pact Arts to gain lots of extra damage and healing from Smites.
Short Blade
Sirin’s sidearm is a vital part of the build, since it is our only melee option. Upgrade your Short Blade Arts as below to make them as effective as possible:
- Smite
- Perfect Throw
- Momentum
- Smite Rank 2
- Smite Rank 3
- Riposte
- Swift Parry
- Vaunt
- Spectre Strike
- Misdirection
Momentum is a great Combat Art for Short Blades. It builds up bonus damage on consecutive attacks, which plays very well with the rapid attack speed of daggers. Besides that, we want to get a high Smite chance to deal more bonus damage. Remember to press the Spirit Vision button when Smite procs on an enemy (look out for the glowing soul).
You can instead move some points into the middle branch if you find yourself throwing the Sidearm often. But if, like me, you mainly use it for melee, it’s better to stick to the top and bottom branches of the Short Blade tree.
Sirin Upgrade Priority
We recommend upgrading your Sirin Pact in the following order:
- Shrouded
- Rooted
- Wingspan
- Sympathy
- Saphene’s Gift
- Pickpocket
- Akin
- Voided
- Akin Rank 2
- Saphene’s Gift Rank 2
- Saphene’s Gift Rank 3
- Saphene’s Gift Rank 4
- Sympathy Rank 2
- Voided Rank 2
- Iridis’ Favour
- Everbound
- Everbound Rank 2
- Everbound Rank 3
This setup maximises your Grace Virtue, which will boost the damage from your weapons (as long as they are Grace Attuned). It also reduces your Arcanic Cooldowns, boosts your Maximum HP, increases your Smite Damage and allows you to restore HP when you Smite an enemy. This is a great synergy with the Longbow Combat Arts mentioned earlier in the guide – with a little luck, you can Smite several targets at once with your arrow hail AoE, dealing heavy bonus damage and healing from all of them. Just remember to tap E when you see the glowing spot on an enemy’s chest; otherwise, you won’t get anything from the Smite.
