Welcome to the ESO Necromancer Healer Tank PvP Build “Bone Lord ” for Elder Scrolls Online.  This build is made for Cyrodiil small group play but is built to sustain itself as well for battlegrounds or Solo play.  Back bar sets can be adjusted depending on your environment and group size.

This ESO Necro Healer Tank Build has high health and massive shields to support a group.  This build will require the new Scribing system as it will use three of the new shields in the scribing system to support your party.  Additionally, I will include a setup I run to pull people for your group but it is definitely a more advanced setup.

  • Cyrodiil & Group PvP
  • Solo and Battlegrounds PvP
  • Heavy Armor
  • Very Large Health Pool
  • High AoE Shields
  • High Mobility
  • Great Recovery Healing

Stats

Now let’s take a look at how to create the ESO Necro Healer Tank PVP Build.  We will walk through each stage of setting up this build below.  Having Vampire will add survival and is standard for higher Health build setups currently.  We will have a Monster Set and Food focused on recovering both Magicka and Stamina in combat to allow us to heal.

Below is a picture with our self buffs in ultimate and outside of it.  Keep in mind, your stats will vary based on corpses on the ground in combat as well.  Having a large health pool will grant us a higher level of survival.  Our weapon and spell damage are irrelevant as most of our skills will scale off of our Maximum HP.  Keep in mind, these shield skills do not stack with others running the same skills.

Build Setup ESO Necro Healer Tank PVP Build – Pure Healer / Tank Play

This setup is great if you intend to fully commit to support and providing shields.  This is the way I would recommend playing this build.  An alternative with pulls is available, but it is best to find someone else to pull if possible allowing this build to maximize the shielding it can provide in larger group play.  This sustains very well on it’s own in battlegrounds as well and requires no adjustment between Battlegrounds and Cyrodiil.

Gear for Necro Healer Tank PvP Build – Pure Healer / Tank Play

Now lets take a look at the equipment you want to run for the ESO Necro Healer Tank PVP Build.  We will run Plague Doctor  on the Front Bar to cast our primary shields and have high health pool to boost the shield power.  On our back bar, we will run Brands of Imperium by default, but we could run a variety of group buff sets as well to benefit the group at the expense of some Maximum Health.  Finally, our monster set is very flexible and can easily be a support set.

Using an active back bar and front bar setup will allow us to use a Mythic and a Monster Set as well.

Slot 5: Wield Soul Slot 5: Echoing Vigor
Ultimate: Renewing Animation Ultimate: Ravenous Goliath

Skill explanation:

Front Bar

  • Necrotic Potency: This will provide you steady Ultimate gain as well as allow you to build ultimates faster.  The other morph provides Major Protection which is a great buff and morph, but I generally find myself not needing it and faster ultimates will provide better windows for Goliath or Resurrections if needed.
  • Ulfsild’s Contingency: One of our main spammable shields and one we always want primed up after completing an action.  If you’re going to heavy attack with your Restoration staff, recast this skill.  It’s rather cheap and if you get stunned, when you CC break, this skill will fire a shield.
  • Race Against Time: This is our Major Expedition buff as well as our snare removal.  We will spam this whenever we need to relocate or move around rather constantly.
  • Soul Burst: Our second spammable shield for group play we want to keep up along with Ulfsild’s Contingency.  If your party is ever together and this is not up, we can refresh it to keep them protected.
  • Wield Soul: Our single target heal that has large range unlike all of our spammable AoE shields.  This also provides Major Vitality to increase their shields received.  If someone is under attack out of range, you can sprint at them while casting this first.
  • Renewing Animation: Keep this on bar to ressurect any fallen group members in group encounters.

Back Bar

  • Mender’s Bond: This is a tether skill to a target that will be used to restore resources and provide shielding to the group.  Additionally, we can apply Minor Vitality which allows us to further increase our shielding.
  • Bone Surge: Another shield we can apply primarily for the synergy.  We don’t have to keep this up full-time but in fights when you are swapping to back bar.  It requires group members that will actually synergy it for its benefit.
  • Summoner’s Armor: Our buff skill for Major Resolve.
  • Spirit Guardian: Another self-buff to help mitigate damage.
  • Echoing Vigor: This is a flex spot but we can afford to apply Vigor as another layer of healing.  With our buffs, it won’t heal for much, but if we want to use a Monster set like Ozezan we need a health over time effect that will help apply buffs that is easy to manage.  Echoing Vigor is great for this.  But this could afford another group skill for larger groups such as Siege Shield.
  • Ravenous Goliath: Our ultimate we will use in tough times when taking on a heavy assault from another group.  Our shields will be greatly increased when we use this ultimate, as well as becoming very tanky ourselves.  Consider this a buff that increases our ‘healing’ for a period of time.  Save it for difficult moments and don’t hesitate to use it too late into a fight for your group.

Build Setup ESO Necro Healer Tank PVP Build – Hybrid Puller / Shielder Group Play

The Cyrodiil Build is a group only build I use often to pull enemies together and allow your group to focus them.  You will also be disabling and debuffing them.  This setup will require a bit more sustain from your group on healing and finishing AoE damage.  Generally, Wardens are the most ideal to follow up your pulls.

Gear for Necro Healer Tank PvP Build – Hybrid Puller / Shielder Group Play

Now lets take a look at the equipment you want to run for the ESO Necro Healer Tank PVP Build.  We will run Rush of Agony on the Back Bar to pull enemies and Plague Doctor on the front Bar to shielder your allies.  Roksa can be used for sustain or supportive Healer Monster Sets if you are comfortable with your sustain.

Using an active back bar and front bar setup will allow us to use a Mythic and a Monster Set as well.

Back Bar

  • Critical Rush: In our hybrid setup, this is used to pull enemies together and activate Rush of Agony.
  • Smash: This is a difficult skill to use and takes some practice.  After Critical Rush is used and enemies are pulled, we want to activate this just after seeing the chains.  You want to be slowly backing up as you activate this to ensure you hit your targets as it is a cone radius with terrible targeting.  However, it is highly effective and provides a fear, root, and mangle in one skill.  If used effectively, it is devastating utility to provide in 2 skills while you spend the rest of your time shielding for your group to stay on offense.
  • Summoner’s Armor: Our buff skill for Major Resolve.

Important Info for Necromancer Healer Tank PvP Build

Attributes

0 Magicka, 64 Health, 0 Stamina

Buff-food

Orzorga’s Smoked Bear Haunch Is the best option as we are primarily interested in boosting our Max Health and also increasing our Magicka and Stamina Recovery.

Mundus Stone

Your options may vary depending on your environment and race.  The Atronarch Mundus will help us sustain shield spamming.  Additionally, we can increase our health with The Lord.

Race

Orc is my favorite race, but we would like the most health added.  Orc provides Max health and unique Move Speed which is helpful to get on top of our targets and maneuver the battlefield.  Otherwise, anything else will work that may help with sustain.

Vampire or Werewolf

Using Vampire on this build at stage 3 will give grant us the best version of Undeath Passive.  When we swap to backbar and block to recover health, we will become much more durable in lower health situations and allow us additional mitigation to recover.

Potions

There are two options here.  Primarily, you want to use Potion of Immovability for the stun resistance when engaging a target with a large group so you are able to continue shielding through difficult burst windows.  If you are starting out or struggling in a fight you may opt for a Tri-Stat Potion for additional sustain (Stamina Regen) or heal to help recover in a fight.

Potion of Immovability

(Magicka Restore, Restore Health, Immovability)
(Columbine, Bugloss, Namira’s Rot)

Tri-Stat Potion

(Health, Stamina, Magicka)
(Bugloss, Columbine, Dragonthorn)
