Welcome to the powerful Twin Striker DPS Build for Blue Protocol (BP).

The Twin Striker wields dual axes, and is especially proficient with single-target DPS, making them great for taking down bosses.

Please note that this build is currently a Work in Progress, and will continue to be updated in the run-up to the international release of Blue Protocol.

Twin Striker Class Guide for Blue Protocol

In this section, we are going to take a look at how the Twin Striker works as a class in Blue Protocol.

Twin Striker – Combo Mechanic

Twin Strikers will build up a Combo Gauge with each successful hit. The Combo Gauge is a damage multiplier that increases the power of all their attacks. If your HP drops too low, the gauge will be reset back to 0.

Building up your Combo Gauge whilst also avoiding danger is an important skill to learn to get the most out of the Twin Striker class.

Twin Striker DPS Build Equipment

Now that we have explained the basics of how the Twin Striker class works, we will begin detailing the build itself, starting with equipment. Unlike in many other MMO and RPG games, armour in Blue Protocol is entirely cosmetic – the only item in the traditional sense that impacts your stats is your equipped weapon.

Instead of armour, Blue Protocol builds may equip a variety of “Echoes” to alter their stats.

Twin Striker Best Weapon

For this Twin Striker DPS build, we recommend using the Godflare Axes for your weapon. This will give you a high bonus to your Strength and Dexterity, and the axes have a high Attack rating, too. The Godflare Axes have well-rounded stats, so not only will you have plenty of Strength and Dexterity, you won’t be lacking in Intelligence, Resilience or Spirit either.

Twin Striker Best Echoes

We recommend using the following Echoes for the Foe Breaker build. You can click on the Echoes to learn more about them.

Battle Echoes

  • Orochi – Increases your Max HP and Strength. Periodically breathes fire on enemies, dealing Fire Damage.
  • Elder Goblin – Increases your Attack Power. Periodically shoots a fireball at an enemy, dealing Fire Damage.

Twin Striker Build Skills

Once your equipment is figured out, the other thing you need to figure out is which skills you will use.

Skills in Blue Protocol are divided into three types – Basic, Tactical and Ultimate.

Basic Skills describe the basic functionality of the class and do not need to be manually equipped – they are always active. They get more powerful as they level up, to a certain point.

Tactical Skills must be manually equipped before you can use them. You can change your equipped skills outside of combat. You can equip four Tactical Skills at once. Tactical Skills will grow stronger as they level up, with four tiers for each skill. At the final tier, you are able to choose one of two variants of the skill, which can make a certain aspect of the skill considerably better, or may entirely adjust how the skill works.

Ultimate Skills are extremely powerful but have a very long cooldown – in all but the longest of fights you’ll only get one chance to use your Ultimate Skill, so try to use it in the best possible moment for maximum effect. You can only equip one Ultimate Skill.

Twin Striker DPS Build Basic Skills

Your Basic Skills are always active, they determine how your class and weapon works in certain situations.

  • Steel Storm – This is your basic attack. It is multi-stage, and some stages can be changed to special attacks by moving in a particular direction at the same time.
    • If you attack while pressing the Left or Right movement direction button, the second attack will be a spinning Slash Attack
    • If you attack while pressing the Forward movement button, the third attack will perform a Thrust Attack that deals Fire Damage.
    • If you attack while pressing the Backward movement button, the second attack will be a Crescent Attack. When the attack hits, gain 3% increased attack power.
  • Turbulent Twister – A multi-stage attack that slashes while rotating. Reactivate while attacking to enter a Super Armor state and grant HP Absorption (10%) based on the damage dealt.
  • Dodge – After a Perfect Dodge, the next attack within 10 seconds will be a guaranteed Critical hit.
  • Aerial Attack – Aerial Attacks have 7% HP Absorb.

Twin Striker DPS Build Tactical Skills

You can choose four Tactical Skills to slot. For this Twin Striker DPS Build, we recommend the following skills:

  • Pyro Wheel – Performs a spinning attack that deals Fire Damage. Creates an AOE that briefly remains in place.
    • At Level 50 – We recommend the morph that decreases the range of the attack but increases the duration of the lingering AOE.
  • Sanguine Steel – Most of your attacks gain 6% HP Absorption for the duration.
    • At Level 50 – Get the morph that buffs your damage output when you are at full health.
  • Magmafall – Leap forward and perform a slamming attack, creating a shock wave that deals Fire Damage. Double Attack is possible with an additional skill button press. Creates an AOE dealing continuous Fire damage for 5 seconds when a Double Attack is performed.
    • At Level 50 – Get the morph that reduces the size of the AOE but causes it to tick faster. The duration is unchanged, so the AOE will deal more damage over its lifetime.
  • Ignition – While active, if you use an Attack Tactical Skill when the Combo Gauge is above a threshold, the Combo Gauge will be Consumed to Increase Damage of the Skill. The Combo Gauge will not be Consumed if it is not above the required threshold. However, damage dealt will also not be increased.
    • At Level 50 – We recommend the morph that greatly increases the damage of your next skill, but reduces the Combo Gauge to zero after use. This (and Sanguine Steel) can be used in combination with other skills (especially your Ultimate) to get crazy damage buffs on your skills.

Twin Striker DPS Build Ultimate Skill

For our ultimate skill, we are using Vortex Strike, a powerful damage skill that launches an enemy and then hits them several times in rapid succession. It has a 2-minute cooldown, so try to save it for tough targets with high HP.

How to Use the Build

While this Twin Striker DPS Build does have some small AOE potential, its primarily strength is dealing huge single-target damage. Make sure to stack up damage buffs from Ignition and Sanguine Steel as much as possible, taking care not to lose your Combo Gauge by taking too much damage.

This is a good class for learning to deal damage safely in Blue Protocol, since it rewards relentlessly attacking your foes but also punishes you for taking too much damage by taking away the damage buffs from your combos.
