Sticking to one class can be fun for a while, but it’s even better to experiment with everything a game has to offer. And in Moai Games’ Traha Global, the worldwide release of their previously Korea-only MMORPG Traha, you can switch up your class whenever you want with its unique Infinity Class system.
Rather than picking a rigid class at the beginning of the game, you’re instead given the chance to use different weapons as you play, each with their own attribute trees and skill sets. But you don’t have to worry about levelling them up individually either – skills and attributes unlock for every weapon as your main level goes up, allowing you to switch around freely without needing to grind individual weapons.
Throw in massive 200v200 battles and an active combat system that rewards paying attention to the action and you have a fun, action-heavy MMO. Here’s what you need to know about Traha Global.
What is the Infinity Class?
Instead of offering a firm class with only one or two weapon types available, Traha Global gives you seven different weapons to choose from – Greatsword, Dual Blade, Shield, Staff, Knuckles, Scythe, and Bow. Each weapon comes with its own skills, and these can be further customised to help flesh out your build.
Take the Greatsword, for example. This is a powerful tool with skills that can isolate foes, drawing them close to you for devastating attacks against a single target. Or you can swap those skills for some spectacular AoE skills that deal damage to several enemies at once, while also buffing you, before charging an enemy to knock it down. There are options no matter which weapon you use.
While the majority of your strength comes from your character level and weapon trees, you’ll also need to invest time in the Professions available to you. Each Profession – Craftsman, Cook, Blacksmith, and Archaeologist – rewards you not only with the items that you make, but also a new attribute tree to put points into and increase your combat capabilities.
Each weapon has its own traits tree, split between weapon and profession traits. You’ll gain weapon trait points from levelling your character, while profession trait points come from levelling up your Professions. These can be spent to boost your stats across three trees – Attack, Defense, and Heal – and you’ll get separate pools for all of your weapons. Even better, you can reset your attribute points at any time, offering up further on-the-fly customisation with just one character to worry about.
What’s Traha Global’s combat like?
Whether you love PvE or PvP combat, Traha Global has something for you. For the PvP fans, you can expect massive 200v200 Conquest Battles between realms, which will be a true test of your power. You can also try smaller-scale battles, with a 1v1 ranked arena and 8v8 battles also available.
Fights won’t just devolve into sitting back and watching normal attacks finish off opponents, however. Traha Global’s combat is more dynamic, requiring timing and precision to execute some of the games’ skills to their true potential. Performing skills in specific ways will also trigger follow-up skills to help deal even more damage as you chain your actions together.
To return to the Greatsword, its Heavy Blow skill deals massive damage to a single enemy, but only if you time the strike properly when activating the skill. You can then boost the damage of this attack with the Empower Heavy Blow upgrade, which only triggers if you hit Excellent Timing with the skill. Knowing how and when to use your skills will be key in winning battles with even the most basic enemies in Traha Global.
What is the story of Traha Global?
Traha Global’s story focuses on an epic war between the Naiads and the Vulcans. The Naiads believe they are under siege by the Vulcans, who want to take over the world of Listania for themselves, and so are justified in their war. Meanwhile, the Vulcans believe they are being persecuted and are just trying to carve out a life for themselves, and so clash with the Naiads to protect themselves. Which faction you choose to join will determine how you experience the world and its stories – it’s not a simple case of good versus evil.
You are a Traha (short for Transcend Human Ability), one of a small number of humans who have unlocked their full potential and now possess incredible power. Traha exist on both sides of the conflict, and you’ll be helping the people of your faction to survive the harsh, monster-filled world of Listania while also engaging in battles with your opposing faction. You’ll need to play the game for yourself to see how the stories on both sides play out.
There’s much more to uncover in Traha Global – there’s just far too much content to talk about here. You can download Traha Global right now on PC and mobile and start your own adventure through the magical world of Listania.
