Welcome to the Contracts Guide for Throne and Liberty. In this guide, we will explain what Contracts are, how to get them, and why you should do them.
TLDR: In a nutshell, Contracts are special daily quests that players can complete in return for useful rewards, such as XP, Solant (Gold), Growth Materials (for upgrading your character) and more.
What are Contracts in Throne and Liberty?
Most MMO games feature some type of “daily” quest system – dynamically generated quest objectives that can be completed every day for special rewards. Throne & Liberty is no different, in this game daily quests can be found in the Contracts system.
You will have a supply of “Contract Rights” every day, which can be spent to pick up Contract quests. Once spent, these Contract Rights cannot be replenished manually. The only way to replenish them is to wait until the next day when you will receive more. What this effectively means is that you can take a maximum of 10 Contracts per day.
Now that you know the basics of what Contracts are, we’ll explain how you can get started with the Contracts System.
How to Start Contracts in Throne and Liberty
To take Contracts in Throne and Liberty, you will first need to accept them from Contract Vendors – special NPCs found throughout the world. You can find a Contract Vendor in the following locations:
- Kastleton
- Starlight Observatory Ruins
- Watcher’s Post
- Purelight Tower
- Sanctuary Oasis
- Vienta Village
- Canina Village
Pay attention to the level of the zone when deciding which Contract Vendor to visit – vendors in high-level zones will give high-level contracts, which you may struggle to complete if you are too low-level. Contracts should ideally be a relatively quick and simple quest completed for a tidy reward – you should try to avoid contracts that are too time-consuming or difficult, and one of the best ways to do that when new to the game is to avoid contracts that are at a considerably higher level compared to your character.
When viewing contracts at a vendor, you can use the Refresh feature if you don’t like any of the contracts currently on offer. Some Contracts have very easy objectives, such as chopping down a few trees. Grab contracts like this when possible to speed up the process. The less time you spend on the contracts, the quicker you get your rewards and the more time you have for other activities!
Finally, pay attention to the rewards offered by each Contract. Try to choose ones that provide you with items that are useful for you.
What Rewards Do Contracts Give in Throne & Liberty?
Each Contract rewards you with a few items when you complete it. The exact rewards differ between contracts but typically feature useful progression items such as Growth Stones. The items you currently need to progress your character should ideally be a deciding factor when choosing which contracts to take each day.
Contracts also reward you with a special currency called Contract Coins. These special Contract Coins can be exchanged for additional rewards by visiting a Contract Coin Merchant – these are usually located near the Contract Vendor.
You can purchase items such as Growth Stones, Lithographs and Mystic Keys in exchange for Contract Coins. The inventory of the merchant resets every 24 hours, so if you don’t see the item you are looking for then you can check another merchant or check again the next day.
These rewards make Contracts an excellent way to gain important items in Throne & Liberty, speeding up the long process of upgrading your character, an important aspect of progressing to end-game.
Tips & Tricks for Contracts
Here are some general bits of advice for completing Contracts quickly and efficiently in Throne & Liberty:
- Team up with friends to finish Contracts faster. Unlike gold farming from mobs, rewards from Contracts are not shared between party members, so you can bring friends to speed up the process without losing out on any rewards.
- Use the Refresh button to fetch a new choice of Contracts if you don’t like any of the ones currently on offer. Try to choose contracts that are all in the same location, this way you can get them done faster.
- Look out for easy objectives that you can complete quickly.
- A few Contracts have special rewards, such as the Lucky Pocket which can drop Rare or Epic armour recipes or gems. These are quite valuable, so we recommend selecting them whenever they appear.
- Pay attention to the number of items offered in the Contract Rewards when deciding which one to choose. For example, if you need Weapon Growth Stones, look out for Contracts that offer four of them instead of three.
