Players will be able to invite others into their Lounges, turning them into functional hubs of identity and community expression.

Addressing Support vs. DPS Balance with Global Testing

One of the persistent issues throughout Seasons 1 and 2 has been the imbalance between support and DPS characters. The dev team openly acknowledged this concern and plans to introduce targeted adjustments in Season 3.

To ensure these changes hit the mark, Nexon will roll out post-launch focus group testing in both Korea and North America. This dual-region testing approach is part of a broader initiative to fine-tune gameplay mechanics with global feedback in mind.

Developer Reflections on Going Global

Executive Producer Lee Beom-jun reflected on the challenges of transitioning from PC to console development, as well as adapting to a global audience. He emphasized that while The First Descendant originated as a Korea-first project, Season 3 signals a pivot toward a globally minded roadmap.
