Lee Joohee Skill Overview – SL Arise Overdrive

Here is an overview of Lee Joohee’s skills in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, and how to use them.

Basic Skills

Divine Energy

Joohee attacks the enemy by continuously releasing the power of magic.

Divine Energy is your basic attack, activated with left click. It hits enemies directly in front of you. You can use it multiple times to chain the attacks together – attacks later in the chain deal more damage and can stagger enemies for a short time.

Energy Blast

Heavy Attack. Joohee uses a divination circle to attack her enemies.

Energy Blast is activated by pressing C. It deals a small amount of AoE damage to enemies directly in front of you.

Great Heal

Joohee uses the power of healing to recover her team member’s HP and removes debuffs.

Activate Great Heal by pressing Q. It restores some HP to your team and removes all debuffs. This is a good support skill and you might want to put Lee Joohee in your party if you keep dying on a particular level.

Healing Circle

Joohee creates a zone imbued with the power of healing, restoring the HP and MP of team members within the zone while simultaneously attacking enemies.

Another healing spell, activated by pressing E. This one restores HP and MP to nearby allies and deals a small amount of AoE damage to enemies within the circle.

Special Skills

Healing Wave

Joohee uses the power of healing to recover allies’ HP. Additionally recovers their HP if they’re within the divination circle.

This is a Support Skill, which means it can only be used when Joohee is supporting Sung Jinwoo, not when playing as her directly. It can be used when Sung Jinwoo takes a large amount of damage or when he is immobilized.

Circle Wave

QTE Skill. Joohee creates a divination circle and attacks by pushing the enemies forward, restoring her entire team’s HP and MP.

Circle Wave is automatically activated when you switch to Joohee using Left Shift, when prompted. Ensure you are in a suitable position to hit enemies when you make the switch.

Divine Wave

Synchro Chain. Joohee summons a large divination circle in front of herself and hurls it forward.

Synchro Chains are activated when you press T, when prompted. All Hunters in your party will use their Synchro Chain at the same time, for a chunk of extra damage.

Energy Field

Ultimate Skill. Joohee creates a large divination circle on the ground to attack her enemies and fully restore the MP of her entire team.

Activated by pressing R when your ultimate is fully charged. Energy Field stuns all enemies in the area, deals a modest amount of AoE damage to them and fully restores the MP of all nearby allies.

Unique Skills

Dash Combo Attack

When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Dash, the user can use Dash Combo Attack.

Back Dash Combo Attack

When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Back Dash, the user can use Back Dash Combo Attack.

Deflect Combo Attack

When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Deflect, the user can use Deflect Combo Attack.

How to Play Lee Joohee

Lee Joohee is a very support-oriented Hunter. Her attacks don’t deal much damage, but she is excellent at healing your team, can cleanse debuffs and is decent at stunning enemies. She is quite agile too, helping her to quickly move around and avoid running into trouble.

Her Overdrive is stored in slots rather than a gauge. Only one slot needs to be filled to use her Overdrive, but the more slots are filled the greater the effect will be. When her Overdrive is used, all party members get some HP and MP restored, and they also get an Attack buff. The strength of the healing and buff depends on how many Overdrive slots you used.

Getting back Overdrive is very easy indeed – using the third attack in the Divine Energy (basic attack) chain restores one slot, so you just need to spam left click and you’ll restore all three of her slots in no time. Thanks to this very easy Overdrive mechanic and her numerous healing skills, Lee Joohee is a healing machine and a great choice for any players who are struggling to get through a mission. But once again I must emphasize that her damage output is quite poor, so including her in your party will set you back in this regard.

Lee Joohee Skill Upgrade Priorities – SL Arise Overdrive

slao Lee Joohee Skill Upgrades

As mentioned above, Hunter skills in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE are split up into Basic Skills, Special Skills and Unique Skills. Of these, only Basic and Special Skills can be upgraded. The upgrades are done in groups – for example, you upgrade all Basic Skills at once, rather than upgrading the skills individually.

It is generally more important to upgrade the Basic Skills rather than the Special Skills, because the Basic Skills are used much more often (this group includes your Basic Attack, Heavy Attack and the skills activated by pressing Q or E). So if you have to make a choice between the two, always go for Basic Skills.

In practice, however, it is usually easier to upgrade them in a balanced manner, upgrading both groups to rank 2, then upgrading them both to rank 3, and so forth. This is because each tier is significantly more expensive than the last, so rushing a full set of Basic Skill upgrades usually isn’t possible unless you’ve played through the whole game without doing any upgrades.

Lee Joohee Best Equipment – SL Arise Overdrive

We will now review the best equipment available for Lee Joohee in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, including the best weapons and the best armour & artefacts. To help you progress through the lengthy level up and equipment grind, we have included setups for the early, mid and endgame.

Lee Joohee Best Weapons

The table below shows you the best weapon progression from early, mid and endgame. We have not included every upgrade tier along the journey, just the most important milestones so you can see which path to take and what benefits the most important weapons offer for Lee Joohee.

Weapon Description
joohee early gauntlet SL ARISE OVERDRIVE

Gauntlet (D)

To get the D-Tier Steel Gauntlet, start with the basic E-Tier Gauntlet and upgrade it twice to reach D-Tier.

This weapon provides no special effects, but gives a boost to Joohee’s Attack and Defense stats.

joohee midgame weapon SL ARISE OVERDRIVE

What Never Was (B)

After crafting the D-Tier Gauntlet, upgrade it to C-Tier and then craft What Never Was at D-Tier. Upgrade it twice to reach B-Tier.

This gives an improved bonus to HP and Attack. Hitting an enemy with her Basic Attack restores HP to all party members.

Hitting an enemy with the third attack in the Basic Attack chain restores MP to all party members.

joohee endgame weapon SL ARISE OVERDRIVE

What Never Was (A)

Upgrade What Never Was once more and you will reach the A-Tier. This is slightly better than the B-Tier version.

This is by far the best weapon available for Lee Joohee in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE.

Lee Joohee Best Armour & Artefact Sets

Early Game Best Sets

In the early game, there aren’t many strong sets available. However, the Cleric set is a good starting point for our Lee Joohee build because it provides a good boost to her healing output. For the jewelry you can use any items you have for the time being, none of the early jewelry sets are well-suited to Lee Joohee.

  • Armor Set: Cleric
    • [2 Items] Increases Max HP
    • [4 Items] Greatly increases Healing Given
  • Jewelry Set: Any

Mid Game Best Sets

Since Lee Joohee is primarily a support-based Hunter, the Holy set is a good choice. It allows her to buff the Attack and Defense of her whole team by using Basic Skills. The jewelry set is still of low importance – we chose Viridescent to reduce skill cooldowns and give a small damage boost, but it’s fine if you use something else here.

  • Armour Set: Holy
    • [2 Items] Increases Defense and Max HP
    • [4 Items] Using the Basic Skill triggers a moderate chance to slightly increase the Attack and Defense of all team members including the user for a certain amount of time.
  • Jewelry Set: Viridescent
    • [2 Items] Very slightly reduces the user’s Basic Skill cooldown, but slightly increases their MP Consumption.
    • [4 Items] Using the Basic Skill very slightly increases the user’s Basic Skill Damage Increase effect for a certain amount of time, stacking up to 10 times.

Late Game Best Sets

We’re using the Archangel set to apply extra healing and mana restoration to the whole team. The Royal Orc jewelry set offers a big boost to Lee Joohee’s survivability.

  • Armour Set: Archangel
    • [2 Items] Increases Defense and Max HP
    • [4 Items] Increases Healing Given. Upon using the Basic Skill, there is a moderate chance to trigger the HP Recovery and MP Recovery effects on all team members, including the user.
  • Jewelry Set: Royal Orc
    • [2 Items] Increases Max HP and Healing Received
    • [4 Items] Increases Max HP. If the user’s HP falls below a certain threshold, you have a high chance to trigger the HP Recovery effect.
