With the new Ascending Tide DLC for ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) that will launch in the middle of March, we will of course also get plenty of new sets for ESO. In todays article I want to explain the most overpowered of the new sets and in which situations they can be useful. Please keep in mind that this information is based on the Public Test Server that recently launched for the Ascending Tide DLC. There may still be changes to some of the sets before the update goes live.

New Overpowered Sets for ESO
Lets take a closer look at the usual suspects that might overperform in the new Ascending Tide DLC. Most of these sets are very niche and only overpowered if used in the right setting in ESO.
Turning Tide Set
Nr. 7. Turning Tide set, this will give Major Vulnerability access to everyone boosting the groups damage by 10%, which is crazy. Before the Ascending Tide DLC only Necromancers had access to this very powerful buff. In addition, getting a good Major Vulnerability uptime in a group was very difficult with Necromancers, because you first had to generate ultimate to activate the Frozen/ Glacial/Pestilent Colossus. And the ultimate costs a lot, therefore it took a while to recharge it.
Now with this new set you can pretty much reduce the downtime of the powerful buff to 0. That way coordinated endgame groups will get an almost 100% uptime on Major Vulnerability.
Nazaray Monster Set
Nr 8. Nazaray Monster set, this gives basically a huge boost to the duration of DoTs, Major and Minor debuffs on enemies. Especially powerful at the start of a fight. Imagine nobody having to reapply some of their DoTs for a while, just hammering out extra damage. In addition, all the sticky debuffs on the enemy now last way longer. For example the Major Vulnerability, Minor Brittle etc. That results in an insane damage boost for endgame groups.
Baron Thirsk Monster Set
Nr 11. Baron Thirsk Monster set throws exploding Scamps at the enemy. This is a wild card, most likely not overpowered but I thought I would mention it. Just thinking about throwing Scamps at enemies is hilarious.
Rallying Cry Monster Set
Nr 12. Rallying Cry set is basically the Transmutation set, just a lot better. This is strictly for PVP only. The set boosts your damage output and your critical resistance which is very important for PvP in Cyrodiil or Imperial City. So any support character or healer can utilize this set to boost their group.
Enervating Aura Set
Nr 14. Enervating Aura set, lowers health, magicka and stamina recovery of every enemy hit in the blast by 129 PER PLAYER. If you hit 10 players, that is 1290 less recovery for everyone on their character sheet. This is of course also a PVP set that is meant to counter ball groups. The developers launched a few sets to counterplay ball groups such as Plaguebreaker or Vicious Death.
Please be aware, these were just the outliers from reading the public test server patch notes, I have to do testing on the PTS to confirm this. I will do videos on youtube on each of the sets over the next 5 weeks.
Now you know which new sets the Ascending Tide DLC for ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) launches.
