Today we are going to take a look at how Throne and Liberty looks on Console PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Throne and Liberty doesn’t have an exact launch date yet but we do know that Throne and Liberty will launch sometime in the first half of 2023. The graphics will look the same on both PC and Console.
However, the main difference between Throne and Liberty on PC vs Console will be the User Interface (UI). After all you are playing with a controller and not with a mouse and a keyboard. That means you have a lot fewer buttons available. However, this is often not a problem since many buttons can be mapped twice or more with the right combinations.

Throne and Liberty Console UI
Let’s take a look at the Throne and Liberty Console UI. Below in the screenshot, you can see the combat UI. On the left side of the image, you see a health bar and group members. At the bottom left you see the player stats. While we don’t know, we do think that these will be manually adjustable. Because a lot of players like to change the size of their interface parts.
Now to the interesting part, the skills. In the bottom right side you can see the skill setup. You basically have eight active skills per weapon available while fighting. You press R1 or R2 and then get access to the four skills that are button mapped to the right buttons on the controller.
This is a pretty standard layout for a skill-based game on console. However, this also means that we will only be able to actively use up to eight skills during combat in Throne and Liberty.
How to Weapon Swap in Throne and Liberty
Another neat thing to spot in this image is the weapon swap mechanic in Throne and Liberty. In the bottom right side corner of the image you can see the weapon you are currently using. Now by pressing one button you can weapon swap and then you gain access to another eight skills.
This is a clever mechanic to increase the overall complexity in combat in Throne and Liberty.
