Welcome to the Legendary Farm Guide for Diablo 4. This guide will list some of the best methods you can use for quickly farming Legendary Armour, Jewelry and Weapons in Diablo 4.

Once you’ve got to level 50 in Diablo 4, you’ll probably want to continue making your character more powerful by obtaining the perfect set of gear for your build. However Legendary items don’t always drop reliably, and the ones that do drop may not have the Aspect or Stat Rolls that you want. Therefore you’ll probably end up needing to farm many of them in order to find exactly what you want. This is why it’s useful to find methods of farming that can quickly drop many Legendary Items.

Farming Legendaries is also a viable way of earning gold or rare crafting materials, as you can sell or salvage the items that you don’t need.

Webbed Lode Legendary Farm

Difficulty: Easy

Our first Legendary Farm method is a very easy method of farming Legendary items, that should be doable for everyone. There is a Cellar called Webbed Lode, located in the Deep Forest area in Scosglen. The Cellar also happens to be positioned very close to an Event.

To do the farm, play on the highest World Tier that you are comfortable with (higher World Tiers increase the quality of loot) and travel to the Cellar. Before entering, check the nearby World Event and complete it if it is active, for extra loot. Then, enter the Cellar and complete that too. The contents of the Cellar will vary slightly sometimes – you sometimes just need to defeat a group of enemies, but other times there’s an event you need to complete.

Whatever you get, the Cellar contains fairly weak Spider enemies and should be easy for you to complete. After finishing, you can leave the Cellar, log out to Character Selection and log back in again to reset the Cellar. Check if the Event is active again and then repeat the process.

While this method isn’t as lucrative as some of the others in this guide, we included it because it’s quick, easy and accessible for players of any skill level.

Iron Hold Legendary Farm

Difficulty: Hard

Next, we have the Iron Hold Legendary Farm. This method was even better when Diablo IV had just released. It’s since been nerfed somewhat, but it remains a viable method of farming Legendary items. You do need to deal with large amounts of Elite enemies at once to be efficient with this farm, so if you haven’t got a decent build already or you’re still learning the game then you might struggle with this one. Bringing a friend along will help a lot, but it’s possible to do it alone.

To do this farm, you ideally should be on at least World Tier 3. Head to the Iron Hold dungeon in Ruins of Rakkhat Keep. In the first area of the dungeon, you need to locate and defeat a boss who will drop a key to access the next part of the dungeon. If you’re comfortable with your build and the difficulty you’re playing on, then you can probably run past all of the trash enemies until you find the boss (they’re all ranged, so beware), and then kill everything in one go. But if you’re less confident then take your time a little more to avoid dying.

In the next part of the dungeon, you may have to complete a dungeon event to proceed, such as destroying a cursed pillar. Then continue to explore the dungeon as quickly as you can. You’re looking for large packs of Elite enemies that spawn within the dungeon. There are usually two of them. They’re pretty tough, but if you’re able to beat them then they will drop a large amount of high quality items, some of which are usually Legendaries.

After clearing out the Elite enemies, you don’t need to finish the dungeon – you can simply reset it and start again. If you’re alone, you can do this by leaving the dungeon, logging out to the Character Screen and then logging in again. If you’re in a Party with a friend, then leave the dungeon, disband the party and then remake it, and the dungeon will be reset.

It takes around five to ten minutes each time you repeat this farm, depending on your build and skill level. It’s one of the harder Legendary farms we have in this guide, but it can be very rewarding if you’re able to do it.

Tortured Gift of Mysteries Legendary Farm

Difficulty: Medium

This Legendary farm is only possible if you’re playing on World Tier 3 or higher. This is because you need to take part in the Helltides to farm anything with this method, and the lowest two World Tiers do not include Helltide.

First of all, you want to go to an active Helltide event (seen on the map by a red highlight). You then need to run around in the Helltide area to defeat enemies – enough to save up at least 175 Abberant Cinders. If you’re lucky you’ll also drop some good items while you’re doing this.

Once you’ve saved up enough Abberant Cinders, you need to find a Tortured Gift of Mysteries chest. These are difficult to find with the in-game map, as they don’t show up on the map until you get close to them. You can check our Diablo 4 Interactive Map to find the locations of the chest spawns. Note that only a couple of locations will be active at any given time during the Helltide, and the chests will periodically reset.

Spend the 175 Abberant Cinders to open the chest. It will contain around a dozen high quality items, with at least one Legendary and a decent chance for multiple Legendaries.

This method isn’t too difficult, and you could use one of the other methods to fill the time while the Helltide isn’t active.

Murmuring Obols Legendary Farm

Difficulty: Easy

If you’re reading this guide, then you’ve almost certainly played Diablo IV for long enough to notice the Murmuring Obols currency that you’re sometimes awarded. This currency can be spent at the Purveyor of Curiosities, a type of vendor found in the major settlements across Sanctuary.

One of the ways you can spend Obols is by purchasing boxes that contain a random item of a particular type. Each time you do this, there’s a chance that the item will be of a low quality, but you can also get lucky and find a Legendary one. You should increase the World Tier to the highest one available to you before buying anything from the Purveyor of Curiosities, as this will increase the quality of the items you find.

This method is only really worth doing if you saved up a lot of Murmuring Obols already or you’re struggling too much with all of the other methods, as it tends to provide mixed results. However it’s very quick and easy to do as you don’t really need to do anything besides visiting a vendor. You can still get really good results with this method if you’re lucky.
