Welcome to the powerful Spell Weaver DPS Build for Blue Protocol (BP).
The Spell Weaver is a powerful ranged class that wields a variety of magical spells, dealing fire, ice and lightning damage to enemies. This class is Blue Protocol’s take on a mage/sorcerer archetype.
This guide will show you how to create a Spell Weaver build for the end-game, primarily focused on dealing massive AOE damage. This build excels for group-play but can also be used when playing solo.
Please note that this build is currently a Work in Progress, and will continue to be updated and improved in the run-up to the international release of Blue Protocol.

Spell Weaver Class Guide for Blue Protocol
In this section, we are going to take a look at how the Spell Weaver works as a class in Blue Protocol.
Spell Weaver – MP Gauge Mechanic
The Spell Weaver’s special class mechanic is the MP Gauge.
Many Spell Weaver skills do not have a Cooldown but instead have an MP (Mana Points) cost, which is subtracted from your MP Gauge when you cast the spell. This allows you to use some skills several times in quick succession when needed, but you will need to carefully manage your MP gauge to avoid running out of magic.
Spell Weaver DPS Build Equipment
Now that we have explained the basics of how the Spell Weaver class works, we will begin detailing the build itself, starting with equipment. Unlike in many other MMO and RPG games, armour in Blue Protocol is entirely cosmetic – the only item in the traditional sense that impacts your stats is your equipped weapon.
Instead of armour, Blue Protocol builds may equip a variety of “Echoes” to alter their stats.
Spell Weaver Best Weapon
We recommend using either of the following weapons for this Spell Weaver DPS Build:
- Sparking Rod – Thunder Damage
- Fortbreaker Icicle – Ice Damage
Both of these weapons are very strong and viable for the build. The Sparking Rod has a slightly higher Attack rating, while the Fortbreaker Icicle has a slightly higher Intelligence rating instead.
Spell Weaver Best Echoes
We recommend using the following Echoes for the Foe Breaker build. You can click on the Echoes to learn more about them.
Battle Echoes
- Orochi – Buffs your Max HP and breathes fire on enemies, dealing AOE damage.
- Palelight Watchman – Buffs your Attack and Resilience stats. Shoots a beam that deals Lightning Damage.
Enhancement Echoes
- The Bandit Roost – Increases your Defence and Resilience.
- What Happened in Half a Year? – Increases your Intelligence and Dark Resistance.
- The Troupe’s Bonds – Increases your Max HP and Ice Resistance.
- The Elder Trickster Sings – Increases your Stun Resistance and Strength
- The Quad-Arm’s Destructive Powers – Increases your Intelligence, Spirit and Paralysis Resistance.
Spell Weaver Build Skills
Once your equipment is figured out, the other thing you need to figure out is which skills you will use.
Skills in Blue Protocol are divided into three types – Basic, Tactical and Ultimate.
Basic Skills describe the basic functionality of the class and do not need to be manually equipped – they are always active. They get more powerful as they level up, to a certain point.
Tactical Skills must be manually equipped before you can use them. You can change your equipped skills outside of combat. You can equip four Tactical Skills at once. Tactical Skills will grow stronger as they level up, with four tiers for each skill. At the final tier, you are able to choose one of two variants of the skill, which can make a certain aspect of the skill considerably better, or may entirely adjust how the skill works.
Ultimate Skills are extremely powerful but have a very long cooldown – in all but the longest of fights you’ll only get one chance to use your Ultimate Skill, so try to use it in the best possible moment for maximum effect. You can only equip one Ultimate Skill.
Spell Weaver DPS Build Basic Skills
Your Basic Skills are always active, they determine how your class and weapon works in certain situations.
- Trinity Bullet – 3-stage attack that fires magic bullets. When the 3rd attack hits, reduce the enemy’s Elemental Resistance by 50% for 30 seconds. You can adjust the effects of certain stages of the attack by moving in a particular direction at the same time:
- If you attack while pressing the Left or Right movement direction button, the second stage attack will be a Magic Bullet with a moderate explosive AOE.
- If you attack while pressing the Forward movement button, the second stage will be a Magic Bullet with a smaller AOE that deals more damage than the left/right version.
- If you attack while pressing the Backward movement button, the third stage will be a magic bullet that also grants you Minor MP Regen (10 MP Per 100 Seconds for 30 Seconds).
- Channel Flux – Hold to channel mana, recovering your MP.
Spell Weaver DPS Build Tactical Skills
You can choose four Tactical Skills to slot. For this Keen Strider DPS Build, we recommend the following skills:
- Arcane Attunement – Give yourself continuous MP recovery for the duration of the skill.
- At Level 50: We recommend taking the morph that increases the total amount of MP Recovery.
- Cryo Pestle – Perform AOE attack that drops a huge slab of Ice at the target location, dealing Ice damage. Costs 25 MP.
- At Level 50: The morph that increases the damage dealt is generally the best choice. In group play, mobs will generally be stacked up by Blade Wardens, Keen Striders, etc. So you don’t really need the extra AOE radius unless you are only ever playing solo.
- Arcane Familiar – Create 2 Crystals around yourself. Offensive Tactical Skills used for the Duration will cause Crystals to shoot 2 Non-Elemental Magic Bullets. Magic Bullets prioritize locked-on targets. Magic Bullets will turn into the element of the held weapon if it has one.
- At Level 50: Choose the morph that increases the number of bullets to 3.
- Arcane Barrage – Fires 4 Non-Elemental Magic Bullets in a row. Magic Bullets will turn into the element of the held weapon if it has one. Costs 30 MP.
- At Level 50: Choose the morph that creates a small AOE explosion when the projectiles hit their target.
Spell Weaver DPS Build Ultimate Skill
We are using the Meteorfall Ultimate Skill for this Spell Weaver DPS Build. Meteorfall summons a large meteor that creates an AOE, dealing massive Fire Damage while it persists.
This has a long cooldown of 140 seconds, but used at the correct time it can deal huge damage and turn the tide of a battle. Therefore, you should do your best to be tactical about when you use your ultimate – don’t waste it on weak targets but also don’t be so sparing that you barely ever use it.
How to Use the Build
The Spell Weaver is a powerful spellcaster that can deal huge AOE damage, and our build aims to make full use of these attributes.
However, there are two difficulties that Spell Weaver players must overcome:
- MP Management – Make ample use of Arcane Attunement, Trinity Bullet and Channel Flux to keep your MP Gauge healthy.
- Survivability – The Spell Weaver is a rather squishy class in general. We have included some Echoes that buff your HP to partially overcome this problem, but try to be careful when playing and be mindful that this class is not meant for standing in melee – in group play you should be able to comfortably stand at range if your group is good. But in weak/inexperienced groups or when playing solo, you must be prepared to kite melee enemies to minimize your damage taken.
