The Blitz Lancer is armed with a spear that also doubles as a javelin, allowing the class to operate in a hybrid (ranged + melee) DPS role.

Blitz Lancer Class Guide for Blue Protocol
In this section, we are going to take a look at how the Blitz Lancer works as a class in Blue Protocol.
Blitz Lancer – Sigil Mechanic
The Blitz Lancer class can place Sigils on enemies. When activated, these Sigils inflict a particular debuff. There are three types of Sigils that can be applied to enemy targets:
- Explosion Sigil – Increases the damage taken by the target
- Futility Sigil – Decreases the damage done by the target
- Tangle Sigil – Decreases the target’s Movement Speed
Blitz Lancer DPS Build Equipment
Now that we have explained the basics of how the Blitz Lancer class works, we will begin detailing the build itself, starting with equipment. Unlike in many other MMO and RPG games, armour in Blue Protocol is entirely cosmetic – the only item in the traditional sense that impacts your stats is your equipped weapon.
Instead of armour, Blue Protocol builds may equip a variety of “Echoes” to alter their stats.
Blitz Lancer Best Weapon
For this Blitz Lancer DPS Build, we recommend using the Shard of Divine Flame as your weapon.
This weapon comes with well-rounded stats, with a high attack rating, Strength and Dexterity scores, perfect for a hybrid DPS build.
Blitz Lancer Best Echoes
We recommend using the following Echoes for the Foe Breaker build. You can click on the Echoes to learn more about them.
Battle Echoes
- Feste – Improves your max HP. Periodically places a buff on you which improves your damage done, movement speed and armour rating.
- Palelight Watchman – Buffs your Attack power, Strength & Dexterity. Periodically shoots a beam of lightning at enemies.
Enhancement Echoes
- The Bandit Roost – Increases your Strength and Dexterity
- A Fallen Civilization – Increases your Strength and Dexterity.
- A Horned Goat on the Rocks – Reduces your Stamina Costs and increases your Strength
- The Elder Trickster Sings – Increases your Stun Resistance and Strength
- The Quad Arm’s Destructive Powers – Increases Paralysis Resistance and Dexterity
Blitz Lancer Build Skills
Once your equipment is figured out, the other thing you need to figure out is which skills you will use.
Skills in Blue Protocol are divided into three types – Basic, Tactical and Ultimate.
Basic Skills describe the basic functionality of the class and do not need to be manually equipped – they are always active. They get more powerful as they level up, to a certain point.
Tactical Skills must be manually equipped before you can use them. You can change your equipped skills outside of combat. You can equip four Tactical Skills at once. Tactical Skills will grow stronger as they level up, with four tiers for each skill. At the final tier, you are able to choose one of two variants of the skill, which can make a certain aspect of the skill considerably better, or may entirely adjust how the skill works.
Ultimate Skills are extremely powerful but have a very long cooldown – in all but the longest of fights you’ll only get one chance to use your Ultimate Skill, so try to use it in the best possible moment for maximum effect. You can only equip one Ultimate Skill.
Blitz Lancer DPS Build Basic Skills
Your Basic Skills are always active, they determine how your class and weapon works in certain situations.
- Raging Tempest – Four-stage basic lance attack. Holding the normal attack button and releasing it will apply the Explosion Sigil. Activating the Sigil with an attack increases the damage of that attack. The 4th attack extends the Duration (10 Seconds) of any Sigils on the enemy. Some stages of the attack can be adjusted to special attacks by moving in a certain direction when you activate that stage:
- If you attack while pressing the Left or Right movement direction button, the second attack will be a horizontal attack.
- If you attack while pressing the Forward movement button, your attack will apply Futility Sigil. When the Sigil is activated, reduce the target’s Attack Power by 10 seconds.
- If you attack while pressing the Backward movement button, the second hit will apply Tangle Sigil. When the Sigil is activated, apply a 20% Movement Speed Reduction. When all Sigils are activated at once, the ultimate Flowerfall Sigil is triggered, increasing all damage.
- Skyward Leap – Kick and jump straight up. If you jump while pressing the Backward movement button, you will jump backwards. Pressing the skill button while in the air performs a Leap Shot attack. Leap Shot can activate Sigils.
- Aerial Attack – Attack from above.
Blitz Lancer DPS Build Tactical Skills
You can choose four Tactical Skills to slot. For this Blitz Lancer DPS Build, we recommend the following skills:
- Javelin Wave – Throws forward a shock wave that penetrates enemies. Apply Explosion Sigil to hit enemies.
- At Level 50: Choose the increased AOE size for more dps in trash packs. If you want to offer more group support, you can choose the other morph instead.
- Hunting Zone – While active, Leap Shot pulls enemies together with a damaging Shock Wave. During effect, remove cooldowns for standard skills and apply Futility Sigils on Jump Attacks.
- At Level 50: Both morphs are viable, but we recommend the increased radius.
- Lightning Dive – After jumping straight up, dive towards the enemy and create a lightning AOE, dealing continuous damage for 5 Seconds. Attack can activate Sigils.
- At Level 50: Once again both morphs are viable. One of them applies Bind which is useful for controlling enemies, especially if playing solo or in an inexperienced group. For pure DPS potential though, the increased radius is slightly better.
- Gale Spin – Spin the spear above your head and create a tornado around you. Gain Super Armor during tornado attack. Press and hold the skill button to make the tornado hit up to 4 times, then finish with a sweeping attack. Sweeping attack can activate Sigils.
- At Level 50: Generally it is best to get the morph that makes the tornado hit up to 6 times, for the best possible damage.
Blitz Lancer DPS Build Ultimate Skill
For our ultimate, we are using the Decimating Javelin skill. It slices the air with a massive lance, then throws it forward. Enemies hit by this are marked with Explosion, Futility, and Tangling Sigils. Additionally, the Javelin activates any Sigils already applied.
This can either be used single-target or against groups of enemies. When using it against several enemies, be mindful that the spear moves forwards in a narrow line, so you may want to reposition your character to ensure it hits as many enemies as possible.
How to Use the Build
The Blitz Lancer is a versatile class with a good mixure of melee, range, single-target and AOE attacks.
You can use Hunting Zone to stack up enemies before unleashing AOE attacks on them with Javelin Wave, Lightning Dive and Gale Spin.
Try to keep track of your Sigils and remember to activate them. If you struggle with this at first, the most important Sigil to focus on is generally the Explosion Sigil, as this will directly increase your DPS.
