Welcome to the Guardians Guide for Throne and Liberty. In this guide, we will explain what Guardians (Polymorphs) are, how you can get them and what benefits each Guardian offers you. If you want to view all Guardians visit the Guardians List Page on Gameslantern.
What are Guardians in Throne and Liberty?
Guardians are powerful abilities that cause your character to transform to a different form, gaining powerful bonuses while transformed. The Guardian transformations all last for 30 seconds, and have a cooldown of 10 minutes. You initially do not have access to Guardians, but you will eventually begin unlocking them by playing through quests in Throne and Liberty (more details below).
When a Guardian ability is activated, your character assumes a different appearance and becomes significantly stronger. Due to their long cooldown, Guardians are best used in difficult situations when a lot of damage or survivability is needed, whether in PvE or PvP.

How Can I Unlock Guardians in Throne and Liberty?
To unlock your first Guardian, you must complete the Sacred Pledge of Blood quest, which can be found under Chapter 5 of the Adventure Codex. Finishing this quest will unlock Vampire Slayer Ezekiel as your first Guardian.
Here are the unlock requirements for every Guardian currently available in Throne & Liberty:

What Bonuses Do the Guardians Give?
Each Guardian in Throne and Liberty provides you with a unique and powerful bonus when active. These bonuses are listed below:
- Vampire Slayer Ezekiel – Defence increases by 400. Deals damage over time equal to 0.6% of your max health every second to any hostile targets within 2.5m. Restores health by 20% of damage dealt to those targets.
- Lady Knight Kamershea – Creates a Shield for 50% of your Maximum Mana. While the Shield is up, increases Cooldown Speed by 40%. This summon will be cancelled if the shield is removed.
- Green Ranger Elowen – On summoning, has an 80% chance to Bind all enemies within 4m for 5 seconds. While summoned, attacking any enemy affected by Bind and Move Speed Reduction will increase Melee, Ranged and Magical Critical Hit by 500.
- Brutal Warrior Valkarg – Accumulates damage when hit, up to 4,000% of your Max Base Damage. When you inflict Stun, Sleep or Bind on an enemy, 25% of the accumulated damage is dealt to that enemy.
- Shade Revenant Stheno – Launches 5 projectiles at random enemies within a 10m range every second. A single enemy may be hit with multiple projectiles at the same time. Each projectile deals 52% of base damage.
- Pale Nemesis Hartach – When an enemy target is defeated within 3 seconds, you will Hide for 5 seconds. At night, Hide time is increased to 7.5 seconds. Every first attack made while hiding is a Critical Hit.
- Masked Warlock Dantalux – When using Mana, you recover 26% of the used Mana. 53% of your nearest party member’s Mana is also recovered.
As you can see, Guardians offer a powerful bonus when activated. These bonuses can synergise nicely with certain builds and playstyles. When deciding which Guardian to assign to your character, try to choose one that fits together nicely with your currently equipped weapons, skills and passives. For example, a spellcaster who is using a lot of Mana may find Masked Warlock Dantalux to be the most useful Guardian, whereas a players built mainly around crit may prefer Green Ranger Elowen, or Pale Nemesis Hartach if you have a stealth crit build.
While they don’t make up the core of your build, Guardians are an important aspect of it that should not be overlooked.
