Gold Farming Methods Overview – The First Descendant
Here is a quick overview of all the popular gold farming methods in The First Descendant.
Clear time is the most important factor in how much gold you will make. You must have an optimized farming build to get consistent, clear times. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t have fast clear times yet. I recommend having specific characters ready for these activities.

Gold Boosters
There are a few ways to boost your gold gains in The First Descendant.
- Gold Booster (30%), very common.
- Gold Booster (100%), incredibly rare.
- External Component Memory “Gold Drop Rate Increase Modifier”
Gold Boosters (30%) often drop from daily login events. If you continuously play, you should always have some in your inventory. The External Component Memory slot can have the Gold Drop Rate Increase Modifier. Make sure to get that on whatever character you plan on farming with.
Dog Fellow
I recommend having your dog on max level because he will pick up a lot of items for you. At max level his pick up range is a lot higher!

Invasions – Easy for beginners
Daily Invasions are a good way to make money if you are new to The First Descendant. You are limited to 4 runs per day. The Invasion dungeons change every day. Make sure to click on the red Infiltration Operation symbol and then click on Disrupt Invasion.
- Mode: Disrupt Invasion
- Payout with Gold Boost: 1.2M to 1.5M Gold per run.
- Time: 2-4min minutes per run.
- 4x Repeatable daily
- Best With: Any Character
- Difficulty: Easy with an unoptimized character.

Void Erosion Purge 10 – Gold & Weapon Cores
If you need to farm Weapon Cores while stacking gold, VEP Stage 10 is your best option. This gives you a good amount of Gold while also giving you a lot of level 10 weapon cores that you will desperately need anyway. This is my preferred way of grinding.
Each run takes roughly 1min 30sec and nets around 500,000 Gold.
- Mode: Void Erosion Purge 10 (Normal mode)
- Payout with Gold Boost: 400-600k per run.
- Time: 1min 30sec to 2min.
- Best with: Ultimate Viessa Mobbing Build, any mobbing character will work.
- Difficulty: Easy with optimized character.

Spec Ops (Kuiper Mine)
Each run takes roughly 6-10 minutes and nets around 4 million Gold. Make sure to pick up the gold from the ground! If you play in a group you will get less gold, but it will become easier and faster!
- Mode: Special Operation Hard Kuiper Mine Blockade.
- Payout with Gold Boost: solo 3-5M per run, group 1.5-2,5M per run.
- Time: solo 6-10min, group 4-5min.
- Best with: Any Mobbing Character, I prefer Ultimate Freyna
- Difficulty: Medium with optimized character, last phase can get tricky.
Breach Tracking – Highest Amount of Gold per Hour
Each Breack Tracking run takes approximately 4-5 minutes with the Ultimate Freyna Mobbing Build. Breach Tracking is also great if you have plenty of spare keys and also need Superconductive Cooling Units; they drop in the blue box.
- Mode: Breach Tracking
- Payout with Gold Boost: 2-12M (Base 1.5-2M, Box 600k/1.5M/3.5M/10M)
- 600k = 67.5%
- 1.5M = 22.5%
- 3.5M = 7.5%
- 10M = 2.5%

Dimensional Stabilization Keys to open the box at the end. - Time: 6-10min
- Best with: Any Mobbing Character, I prefer Ultimate Freyna
- Difficulty: Medium with optimized character.

Ultimately, the “best” gold farm in The First Descendant depends on your current progression and your secondary goals. While Breach Tracking offers the highest amount of gold (up to 60M/h with lucky 10M box drops), it requires specific keys and a high-end mobbing build to be efficient.
My approach would be:
- New Player: Clear Invasions because they are easy and fast to clear with unoptimized characters.
- Gold + Cores: Clear Void Erosion Purge 10 that gives a high amount of gold and weapon cores!
- Gold Only: Clear Breach Tracking as it has the highest amount of Gold per hour. But requires Dimensional Stabilization Keys.
Don’t forget to keep your Dog Fellow active and check that you have at least the 30% Gold Boost active. The External Component Memeory Gold Boost Modifier is also great but not a must have. With this information you should never run out of Gold to research and craft items in The First Descendant!
