Welcome to the best guide on How to Unlock Swordmaster Trainers and Locations in Dune Awakening.  The Swordmaster Trainer locations will be shown on the maps below.  If your starting class is a Swordmaster, you will skip to the Advanced Swordmaster Trainer quest.  Otherwise, you will begin with the Basic Unlock Trainer for Swordmaster.

Unlock Basic Swordmaster Trainer Location

The Swordmaster trainer is Arno who is located at Pinnacle Station in Hagga Basin.  He is just inside to the right.  Pinnacle Station can be easily accessed by going directly north from Western Vermillius Gap.  Take care to avoid Quicksand when crossing into Jabal Eifrit.

Checking the Post – Quest 1

(1)This quest will begin at Pinnacle Station, a tradepost North of Helius Gate. Speak with Arno and he will give you a quest, Checking the Post. (2)This will send you first to the far Northeast corner of the map, Devil’s Eye Cavern. This is also the location of the Six Trial of Aql.  The entrance is just across from a Slaver’s Camp.

Inside this small cavern, you will wind back and find a crate to interact with. (3)This will then direct you to The Wreck of Pallas in West Vermillius Gap. Swordmaster Trainer Location Dune Awakening

This is a PvP area. You can enter this wreck from the West side of the ship. In the event of PvP, it is best to leave your vehicle outside the area out of reach of the worm.

Once inside, clear out rooms to your right and search for the bracelet to enter the final room where you will find the next location of your quest. (4)Now, you’ll be directed to Station No 76 just Northeast of here. You will have to clear through this entire facility and receive the Coded Message at the end in a crate.  Return this to Arno at Pinnacle Station.

Once you have recovered this, return it to Arno at Pinnacle Station.

This will now unlock the Swordmaster Skill tree.

Unlock Advanced Swordmaster Trainer Location

The Advanced Swordmaster Trainer is Seron Varlin who is located in Harko Village by a small camp fire on the North side. We can travel to Harko Village for free once we acquire an Ornithopter or pay 2500 Solaris to fly there from a Tradepost. I would HIGHLY recommend waiting until you have an ornithopter as all of the activities will take you much longer without one.

A Tormented Soul – Quest 2

Speak with Seron Varlin and he will direct us to collect information on his lost blade from the bar, Hannivar’s. You’ll find a contract leading you to speak with Elara Tuek who is located in the back room of the bar.  She will point out where to find who hired her, the Sandflies. Report back to Seron before departing and he will ask you to retrieve his sword hilt from the Western Comms Sandfly Base.

Western Comms is located on the West portion of the East Shieldwall. Upon arrival, you will have to fight to a room in the back towards the top of the facility where “The Harpy” is located, the Sandfly boss. After you have dispatched her, loot the hilt from her body and return to Harko Village and see Seron Varlin.

This will Unlock Skills at Advanced Swordmaster Trainer to 2, allowing you to put up to 2 points in all but your non-Capstone skills.

Piercing Eyes – Quest 3

Next up Seron Varlin will have you head to the bar again to get information from the black market trader, Anoushka Hannivar. You must order a “Kirana Brandy with a cidrit twist” as a code line to discuss details with her.

She will give you details on a location for prosthetic eyes at a Tleilaxu trader located at Pinccale Station.

The Tleilaxu Trader will issue you another quest in order to get the eyes you need to complete this quest. Lab Cleanup, which requests you go to Testing Station No 17 and eliminate the ‘experiments’.  The Testing Station No 17 is located just North of Pinnacle Station in Eastern Shield Wall. You won’t have to go far into this Station. Once you enter down the first ramp inward, there will be 3 human-like creatures that will attack you with melee only.

Once you kill them, you can return back to Pinnacle Station and speak with the Trader.  This will complete the quest “Lab Cleanup” and now you can return to Harko Village and give Seron Varlin the eyes. Once you return the eyes to Seron he will have sight again and be ready to teach you again.

This will Unlock Skills at Advanced Swordmaster Trainer to 3, allowing you to put up to 3 points in all but your non-Capstone skills.

Art of the Sword – Quest 4

Seron Varlin will now ask you to practice your skills. This is a very fast and easy step to the quest. You can simply enter Haga Basin from any point and use the 3 skills 3 times each. You do not need a target to use any of these skills, so you can use them at the zone line, and this is all that’s requested before returning to Harko Village. Once you return, speak with Seron Varlin and you will unlock your first Capstone Skill in Swordmaster.

This will Unlock Skills at Advanced Swordmaster Trainer to 4, allowing you access to the Perfect Parry skill.

Forged in Dishonor – Quest 5

Your next task will have you crafting a blade to present to Seron. First we must seek out Swordmaster Duncan Idaho, located at Helius Gate in Eastern Shield Wall.

Duncan can be found up the ladder in the back of town on the top floor. He will present us with a Damasteel Schematic which will appear in our inventory to learn.

It doesn’t require anything higher than Aluminum Ingots to create.  The Large Blood Sack doesn’t require blood either. Once you are able to craft this, return to Harko Village and present it to Seron Varlin.

This will Unlock Skills at Advanced Swordmaster Trainer to 5, allowing you access to the Thrive on Danger skill.

The Last Stand of Seron Varlin – Quest 6

Our final quest will be a delivery of a letter to Fenring’s associate for a duel. We must go to Hannivar’s bar in the back room to deliver this request. After turning in the letter, we need to simply return to Seron Varlin and convince him not to do the duel. Afterwards, he will thank us and teach us his final technique.

Additionally, he will give you a Jolt-Sword, a formidable Long Blade.

This will Unlock Skills at Advanced Swordmaster Trainer to 6, allowing you access to the Prescient Strike skill.
