Today we are going to take a look at how to open the Ornate Book and the Wrought Iron Chest inside the Lighttower in Throne and Liberty TL MMO. This is part of the main storyline and a lot of players have issues opening the ornate book because the game isn’t really good at explaining what you have to do with the Ornate Book.
While you are on the main quest called “The Tragedy of the Casill Family” in the step “Janice’s Advice” you have to get to the Lighthouse and enter it. First, you will have to fight off some foes inside the tower, make sure to be prepared and have your healing potions ready. Afterward, you can walk upstairs and you will find a locked chest called “Wrought Iron Chest” and the Ornate Book.
Getting to the Lighthouse
Getting to the Lighthouse isn’t a hard task, check out the image below to see where it is. You will get a quest marker anyway so it is impossible to miss.
Enter the Lighthouse & Fight
Once you enter the Lighthouse a cutscene will play and afterwards, you have to combat the Arkeum Legion soldiers. Make sure to be prepared and have your healing potion ready.
How to open the Ornate Chest and the Wrought Iron Chest
After the fight you can head upstairs and you will find the locked Wrought Iron Chest and the Ornate Book next to it.
Now click on the Ornate Book and you can inspect the book. Hover over the Flower on the frontpage of the book and click on it with the left mouse button. Now swipe your mouse a bit and the book will open. You can open the Ornate book by simply holding down the left mouse button on the flower and swiping to the right.
Basically leftclick the flower and turn the mouse clockwise. That is another way to explain it.
Opening the Wrought Iron Chest in the Lighttower
Now that you have the key for the Wrought Iron Chest, you can finally open it. After you open it look inside the Wrought Iron Chest. Study the parchment that you find inside. The parchment says the following:
“Just who was Janice Cartair? She recognized my power immediately and knew that as long as I possessed it, I would forever be targeted by Arkeum.”
“She advised me that the only way to be free from the Arkeum was to leave as soon as possible and find a way to control my power.”
After you read the parchments you can move on and click on the Old Chair, an Infinity Wheel will appear. Click on it and a cinematic will play. After the cinematic you can leave the lighthouse and continue your quest.
