One of the most asked questions is the length of the ESO Scribing Questline, which was added in the Gold Road chapter. Here you can find two estimates depending on how you complete the Scribing Questline in ESO.

How long does the Scribing Questline take in ESO?

It is estimated that the ESO Scribing Questline can take between two to seven hours depending on your playstyle. There are at least two different kind of styles to quest:

  1. Skipping all dialogues and npc and
  2. Listening to all the dialogue and taking your time.

Both playstyles are a valid way to play ESO.

1. Skipping Scribing questline dialogue in ESO

Spamming through the questline without listening to any of the dialogue in the ESO Scribing Questline takes approximately two hours. You can complete the quest faster or slower, depending on the challenge part of the Luminary Wings, where you need to choose several objectives to complete. Your quest might take a lot longer if you get lost when not following the quests. You can use the Luminary Wing links below to check where you should continue your quest.

Rough estimates on each of the Scribing questlines when skipping all dialogue, running with speed boosts and porting to friends instead of Wayshrines:

Keep in mind that some of the quest challenges might have so many people around that what normally takes two minutes to complete, will suddenly take 15 minutes.

2. Listening to all the Scribing questline dialogue in ESO

Listening to all the dialogue and exploring on the ESO Scribing Questline will take approximately seven hours. The dialogue and the story is very in-depth and well thought, some of the NPC’s even refer to other quests that you are on, or have completed. There is a vast amount of books that expands the story of Ulfsild and the Luminaries which also makes the questlines last longer.
