In this guide, we will explain how to solve the Hearth of Kucheza Star Puzzle in Solasta 2. The puzzle is located in the Siklas Temple and is sometimes referred to as the Siklas Puzzle.

This puzzle trips up many players, as the in-game clues are easy to miss. We will walk you through the whole process for getting past the Siklas Star Puzzle, from powering up the mana device to standing on the correct platforms to open the locked door.

How to Solve the Star Puzzle in Solasta 2 – Power the Device

When you reach the Star Puzzle, you are initially presented with a broken-down device guarded by harpies and several locked doors around the edges of the room.

To get started with the puzzle, you must follow these steps:

  1. Head along the outer edge of the room, passing by the locked doors. Go down the stairs and loot the skeleton. You will find a Power Stone. This will allow you to power the magical device used for the puzzle.
  2. Go back up the stairs and through the door on your right. This is the only outer door that will open right now. Loot the containers inside and get the Key Stone. This will allow you to open the other stone doors.
  3. Loot two Star Crystals from the other rooms on the northern side of the chamber. These were locked before but you can now access them with the Key Stone you just found.
  4. The final Star Crystal is held by the harpies in the middle of the room. You can either kill the harpies and loot the stone, or talk to them and persuade them you mean no harm.
    1. Tip: Having a high-Charisma build in your party, like the Paladin or the Sorcerer, will help with persuasion checks like this one. You can also get a Cleric to use the Guidance cantrip.
  5. Place all of the crystals in the correct slots on the ground, along with the power stone.

You don’t have to complete the steps in the same order. If you talk to the harpies first, it doesn’t matter, as long as you collect all of the stones mentioned above. The map above might make it easier to find the items.

How to Solve the Star Puzzle in Solasta 2 – Find the Correct Combination

This is the part where many players get stuck. You need to stand on the correct plates simultaneously to open the final door – four plates in total.

To find the correct plates, look at the blue dome in the centre of the room. Inside the dome, there are some stars and, most importantly, three diagrams that correspond to the three rows of pressure plates in the room.

Slowly move your camera around the dome until one of the stars crosses into one of the squares – you will see that the star and the square get brighter. Move one of your characters to the corresponding pressure plate. Repeat the process three more times to find the other three plates. Stand on them all at the same time, and the final door will open, solving the puzzle and allowing you to proceed deeper into the Hearth of Kucheza.

The room has three columns of pressure plates: Western, Central, and Eastern (check the compass directions on the mini map or press M to open the full map to determine which is which). The correct plates to stand on are:

  • Western Column – Bottom plate
  • Central Column – Middle plate
  • Eastern Column – Top and bottom plates

The door leads to the second half of the dungeon, where you will encounter more undead enemies, so if your party is in bad shape, you may want to rest before going further!
