The most powerful race for a magicka based Warden is the High Elf race. For a stamina based Warden it is recommended to play a Dark Elf, Orc or Khajiit. For a healer based Warden it is recommended to play as Breton. As a tank you want to use the race Imperial, Argonian or Nord. More information can be found on the Racial Overview Page.
