Each Golden Apple icon Crimson DesertGolden Apple can be turned into a Gold Bar icon Crimson Desert Gold Bar worth 500 Silver. While this method is easy to do, you first need to learn a few tricks so that they reliably spawn.

Golden Apples are extremely valuable items that can be turned into Gold Bars (500 Silver) in Crimson Desert.

What Are Golden Apples Used For In Crimson Desert?

Golden Apple icon Crimson DesertGolden Apples are used to craft Gold Bar icon Crimson DesertGold Bars in Crimson Desert at any of the four Witches’ shops. The first witch you likely meet (Hermit Witch) can’t craft.

Alchemy Formula. Gold Bar icon Crimson DesertAlchemy Formula: Gold Bar:

  • 1x Golden Apple + 3x Gold Ore = 1x Gold Bar

Any of the four main witches can craft this once you have acquired the Alchemy Formula. Gold Bar icon Crimson DesertAlchemy Formula: Gold Bar. You can find the formula inside the Spire of Insight (third floor).

  • Witch of Wisdom
  • Witch of Kindness
  • Witch of Humility
  • Witch of Strength

You will also need three Gold Ore, I also marked a Gold Ore spot in the image above if you haven’t found one yet.

Where To Find Golden Apples in Crimson Desert

There are currently two known spots that drop Golden Apples in Crimson Desert. The most commonly shared place is at the Grey Rock Dock. However, there is a second spot in Tariv that is actually even better, but not many know about it yet! Tariv has more consistent spawns and no NPCs that see your “crime”.

At Grey Rock Dock you can find Golden Apple Hedgehogs that spawn in a certain spot (see image). They might not always immediately spawn as the spawn is shared with other smaller animals.

To respawn it move through the trees over the small cliff and then run back up like in the video. You must wear a Criminal Behavior Mask to loot the Golden Apple and then run out of the red circle.

The Golden Apple Hedgehog can also be repeatedly respawned to farm multiple Golden Apples that can be turned into Gold Bars to get Silver.

  1. Go to Grey Rock Dock.
  2. Watch the marked location for a Golden Apple Hedgehog.
  3. Shoot it with an arrow so it drops the Golden Apple.
  4. Wear the Criminal Behavior Mask to loot the Golden Apple.
  5. Run out of the red circle.
  6. Trigger the respawn by walking down the docks to the cliff (see video).
  7. Craft Gold Bar with Golden Apple.
  8. Go to the Hernand Town Bank to turn the Gold Bar into Silver.

Note: Sometimes other animals spawn (Rats, Oppossums, Weasels, Lizards, etc.); just retrigger the spawn to retry.

Tariv Golden Apple Farming

At Tariv, you can find Golden Apple Hedgehogs that spawn inside the Flax fields that I marked in the image. This is my preferred farming spot of all Gold Bar farming methods. It is the most consistent spot where Golden Apple Hedgehogs spawn, and nobody will see you steal since there aren’t any NPCs around!

  1. Go to Tariv.
  2. Watch the flax fields (see image) for a Golden Apple Hedgehog.
  3. Shoot it with an arrow so it drops the Golden Apple.
  4. Wear the Criminal Behavior Mask to loot the Golden Apple.
  5. Trigger the respawn by walking back and forth between the flax fields.
  6. Craft Gold Bar with Golden Apple.
  7. Go to the Hernand Town Bank to turn the Gold Bar into Silver.

Note: Sometimes other animals spawn (Rats, Oppossums, Weasels, Lizards, etc.); just retrigger the spawn to retry.

To craft the Gold Bar icon Crimson DesertGold Bar with a Golden Apple icon Crimson DesertGolden Apple, you must first acquire the Alchemy Formula. Gold Bar icon Crimson DesertAlchemy Formula: Gold Bar.

  1. Visit the Spire of Insight in the far south of the Steel Mountains.
  2. Burn the roots with your Blinding Flash ability or any fire attack to enter.
  3. Go to the 3rd floor.
  4. Check the bookshelves for the Alchemy Formula. Gold Bar icon Crimson DesertAlchemy Formula: Gold Bar.

Now the last thing you want to do is turn the Gold Bar into Silver at the bank in Hernand Town in Crimson Desert.

  1. Visit Hernand Town.
  2. Go into the bank.
  3. Turn Gold Bar into Silver.
