Welcome to the Crimson Desert Gold Bars Farming Guide. I will show you the top 3 methods for getting Gold Bars, which you can transfer into Silver, the game’s main currency.
Each Gold Bar can be turned into 500 Silver, giving you access to almost unlimited currency in Crimson Desert.

Top 3 Gold Bars Farm Method Overview

1. Wildlife Park Gold Bars Farming – Crimson Desert
The most well-known Gold Bar farm method is from the Wildlife Park in Crimson Desert. There, you use your Lantern to see what the Nobles carry with them. Most of the time, it shows a normal pouch.
However, in some rare instances, you will find that they actually carry Gold Bars with them. Now all you have to do is bump into them and then press the button to pickpocket while you have the Criminal Behavior Mask on.
Important: Sometimes you might have to bump into the same Noble several times until the person drops the Gold Bar. Always make sure to run out of the red circle first before retrying.
- Go to the Wildlife Park in Demeniss.
- Use Lantern to scan Nobles until you find one with a Gold Bar (Sometimes takes up to 15min to appear if you are unlucky).
- If you can’t find any, respawn at the Abyss Nexus outside of the Wildlife park to respawn new Nobles with new items.
- Wear Criminal Behavior Mask.
- Bump into them and pickpocket until you get the Gold Bar.
- Go to the Hernand Town Bank to turn the Gold Bar into Silver.

Here is a quick video showcasing that the nobles can have Gold Bars on them. It can take up to 15 minutes if you are super unlucky.
2. Hedgehog Gold Apple Farming – Crimson Desert
The Hedgehog Gold Apple farming method in Crimson Desert is another easy way to get extra Gold Bars that you can turn into Silver. By going to the Grey Rock Dock you will see that “Golden Apple Hedgehogs” spawn and always run from a certain spot away.
The Golden Apple Hedgehog can also be repeatedly respawned to farm multiple Golden Apples that can be turned into Gold Bars to get Silver.
To respawn it move through the trees over the small cliff and then run back up like in the video. You must wear a Criminal Behavior Mask to loot the Golden Apple and then run out of the red circle.
Important: Because several animals can spawn, you might get unlucky for a while until a Golden Apple Hedgehog spawns.
- Go to Grey Rock Dock.
- Watch the marked location for a Golden Apple Hedgehog.
- Shoot it with an arrow so it drops the Golden Apple.
- Wear the Criminal Behavior Mask to loot the Golden Apple.
- Run out of the red circle.
- Trigger the respawn by walking down the docks to the cliff (see video).
- Craft Gold Bar with Golden Apple.
- Go to the Hernand Town Bank to turn the Gold Bar into Silver.
Note: Sometimes other animals spawn (Rats, Oppossums, Weasels, Lizards, etc.); just retrigger the spawn to retry.

In the video below, you will see how I run through the trees over the small cliff and then run back up. That is how you reset the animal spawn in that area, so you have a new chance of a Golden Apple Hedgehog.
How to Turn Golden Apple into a Gold Bar
To turn the Golden Apples from the Hedgehogs into Gold bars in Crimson Desert, you must first acquire Gold Ore. There is one spot with Gold Ore close to Hernand Town on Anvil Hill, inside a cave. Once you find the hole, you must destroy a stone to get into the cave. Afterward, follow the cave until you find the Gold ore spots and mine them.
Next, head to the Witch in the Witchwoods. She is the closest witch to Hernand Town that can craft Gold Bars. The Witch above Hernand town can’t craft.
Important: You must have read the “Alchemy Formula: Gold Bar” to be able to craft the Gold Bars. You can obtain it in the Spire of Insight (Steel Mountains, southern Hernand) after completing the puzzle (see image above).
- Get Alchemy Formula: Gold Bar from Spire of Insight.
- Farm Golden Apples and Gold Ore.
- Visit the Witch in the Witchwoods and craft a Gold Bar.
3. Gold Bar in Hernand Town Lioncrest Manor
By far the easiest Gold Bar at the start of the game is to visit the Lioncrest Manor close to Hernand Town and steal the Gold Bar from the fireplace in the main room. This will give you enough Silver to have an easy start in Crimson Desert.
- Visit Lioncrest Manor (see image above).
- Guards won’t let you through the main door, enter through the window.
- Go to the mainhall and stand close to the fireplace.
- Equip the Criminal Behavior Mask to steal the Gold Bar.
- Go to the Hernand Town Bank to turn the Gold Bar into Silver.
4. How to Turn Gold Bars Into Silver In Crimson Desert
Now the last thing you want to do is turn the Gold Bar into Silver at the bank in Hernand Town in Crimson Desert.
- Visit Hernand Town.
- Go into the bank.
- Turn Gold Bar into Silver.
Conclusion of Gold Bar Farming Guide for Crimson Desert
By far the easiest thing to do when starting the game is to get the Gold Bar in Lioncrest Manor. Afterward, you have two options. Either you use the farming method in the Wildlife Park with the nobles, or you go farm Golden Apple Hedgehogs.
I personally prefer the Golden Apple Hedgehogs because I get the most Gold Bars in a short time, even if the spawn sometimes is annoying to deal with. The Wildlife Park can sometimes have even worse spawn rates.
Once no Gold Bar spawned on a noble for 20 minutes, which was super annoying. By that time, I would have already farmed 6 Golden Apples. On the other hand, sometimes you get lucky in the Wildlife Park and a noble immediately spawns with a Gold Bar!
