ESO Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk is The Elder Scrolls Online’s first seasonal content release, running from April 2 through July 8, 2026. Season Zero replaces the traditional Chapter model with a three-month cycle of free gameplay content built on top of the Update 49 base game patch.
Key systems include the Tamriel Tomes battle pass, the Gold Coast Bazaar Trade Bar storefront and the Night Market event zone in Fargrave. Season Zero also introduces the Dragonknight and Two-Handed combat refresh, the Werewolf skill line visual overhaul, Challenge Difficulty for overland content and the Vengeance PvP progression system. All gameplay content in Season Zero is free with the ESO base game.
