Welcome to the Malakar Guild Boss Guide for Throne & Liberty.

In this guide, we will explain how to defeat the Malakar boss, including explanations of all mechanics and boss attacks and the strategy for dealing with them.

Malakar is a level 45 boss who can be fought in the open world or via the guild system. To find Malakar in the open world, head to the Manawastes. If your guild is level 15 or above, you can fight Malakar via the Guild Hall instead.

We will now explain the mechanics and attacks of Malakar in Throne & Liberty.

Malakar Boss Mechanics in Throne & Liberty

Below are all of the mechanics and attacks that Malakar can do in Throne & Liberty:

  • Laser Focus – One random player in the raid will have a red eye floating above their head. While this marker persists, Malakar will maintain aggro on that player and will follow them. If Malakar catches up to melee range with this player, he will begin bouncing on the ground causing heavy AOE damage to all players who are too close. This is especially dangerous for melee players. The player with the red eye should focus on kiting Malakar until he focuses on something else, even if you are a melee DPS it isn’t worth trying to stay in melee range when this is happening, as you will probably just get yourself killed along with the rest of the melee players in your group.
  • Fury Attack – Like most bosses in Throne & Liberty, Malakar has a Fury Attack that needs to be blocked. This Fury Attack involves a ranged attack that will target all players in the raid. The only way to avoid the damage is to execute a well-timed block.
  • Bombs – Malakar launches projectiles at several players at once. When they hit the ground, they explode to deal AOE damage. Move away from these projectiles before they land to avoid the damage.
  • Teleport Strike – Malakar teleports to the furthest player, then emits a large blue wave, stunning and damaging everyone who is caught in the area. This attack is only telegraphed for a short time, so you must react quickly to avoid it.
  • Player Pull – Malakar pulls everyone towards him and begins hitting the ground, dealing heavy AOE damage to everyone. Run away from the boss as fast as possible when this is happening, as you won’t be able to survive this AOE damage for long.

That is all of Malakar’s mechanics in Throne & Liberty.

Malakar Mechanics

This boss hits hard, but the mechanics aren’t hard to avoid. The most important thing is that everyone in the raid knows to kite the boss if they have the red eye symbol above their character.
