Welcome to our quick guide on how to restore lost EXP in Throne & Liberty.
One of the most frustrating potential problems for newer players in TL is the fact that dying in PvE causes you to lose some of your EXP, slowing down your progression. This can be really annoying and make it feel like you have wasted your time. Fortunately, there is a method you can use to recover your lost EXP when this happens to you.
In this short guide we will explain how you can do this, and also what the limitations are for restoring your lost XP in Throne & Liberty.
Why Did I Lose EXP in Throne & Liberty?
Throne & Liberty has an EXP loss mechanic that triggers whenever you die to a PvE enemy (such as a monster in the open world). This can be seen as a kind of “punishment” for dying too much, and encourages careful gameplay.
Although you could take a more cynical view of this mechanic and view it as simply being a way that the game tries to force you to play for longer by undoing some of your progress under certain circumstances. This is outside the scope of this guide though, we are just here to explain the best ways to deal with the problem.
How to Recover Lost EXP in Throne & Liberty
Most towns in Throne & Liberty have a special NPC called an Einar Priestess. After losing your EXP due to death, you can visit any Einar Priestess to restore the XP that you lost. For example this one in Vienta Village.
You can do this for free three times per day, but after that you will need to pay to keep using this service. You can pay using either Sollant (Gold) or Restoration Coins.
