In this guide, we will explain how Soulframe’s weapon Reforge system works, and what the various Joineries (upgrade materials) are used for.
This guide is up-to-date with Soulframe Preludes 11.

What is Reforging in Soulframe
Reforging allows you to upgrade your weapons in Soulframe. This requires an upgrade material, known as a Joinery.
Depending on which Joinery you choose when Reforging your weapon, Reforging can:
- Increase the weapon’s damage
- Apply other bonuses to the weapon, such as stagger resistance or HP steal
- Change the Attuned Virtue of the weapon (Courage, Spirit or Grace)
You will lose all progress of levelling up your weapon when you Reforge it, and will need to start over from level 1.
How to Reforge a Weapon in Soulframe
To Reforge a weapon, you must first recruit Tuvalkane, the blacksmith ancestor. Once this is done, follow these steps to Reforge your weapon:
- Obtain the desired Joinery for your weapon upgrade (see the list below)
- Visit Tuvalkane in Nightfold
- Navigate to the Reforge tab
- Choose the weapon you want to Reforge
- Verify you have the required materials. This includes a Joinery and the same materials that were initially used to craft the weapon.
- Select the desired Joinery
- Press the Reforge button.
Reforging is completed instantly, unlike regular crafting, which has a crafting timer.

Depreciated Joineries
These obsolete Joineries are still in the game, and players who played older versions of Soulframe might still have them in their inventory or applied to their weapons. But they can no longer be obtained and have no effect. They will probably be completely removed at some point:
- Eldlore
- Grey Gold
- Palladium
- Sun Gold
- Tribalt
