In this quick guide, we will explain how you can heal your character in Soulframe. This is a problem that beginners can run into in Soulframe, especially players who didn’t pledge to Spirit at the start of the game.
Luckily, it is very easy to keep your character healed up, once you know where to look.
This guide is up to date with Soulframe Preludes 11.
How Healing Works in Soulframe
There are three different ways to heal your character in Soulframe. Depending on your situation, some of them might be unavailable to you. The three different healing methods are explained below.
Healing Potions
You have five healing potions available in Soulframe. On PC, press H to activate a healing potion. This will restore around 40% of your Max HP. There is a short animation that slows down your character, so be careful of your positioning when you activate it.
New players often run into the problem of running out of healing potions. You can find more by looting any treasure chest. Sacks dropped from slain enemies usually contain a Healing Potion, too.
If you die and successfully revive by reaching your body with your Sparrow Soul, you are refunded one Healing Potion.
Healing Spells
Depending on your Pact (class), you may have a healing spell available to you. If you pledged to Spirit when you started the game, you will have the Oscelda Pact. Oscelda’s first available spell allows you to heal yourself for a huge amount of HP over time. This is so powerful that you often don’t need to use Healing Potions.
Some other Pacts have healing spells, such as Garren Rood. But these are not available at the beginning of the game, requiring quite a bit of grinding before you can unlock them.
Smite Healing
This option is not available at the beginning of the game, but you can get it after a few hours of gameplay if you level up you select the correct Pact Arts to enable it.
Each Pact can unlock the Sympathy Art, which allows you to heal when you perform a successful Smite attack. If you need some extra healing, unlock this Art and choose a weapon that has a high Smite chance. We explained more about how Smite attacks work in our Soulframe Smite Guide.
You can also heal from Smites by slotting a Deer Totem in your weapon’s Utility slot (or use both the Totem and the Sympathy Art to maximise your Smite healing).
Oscelda and Garren Rood have built-in healing spells, so they don’t typically require Smite healing. But other Pacts can benefit a lot from this, unless you are extremely good at avoiding damage.
