Here is a quick guide on how Gear Enchanting works in Throne and Liberty. Gear Enchanting is also often called Gear Upgrade. Basically, you upgrade your gear from level 0 to level 1 and so on.
When you are in the main overview window of Throne and Liberty navigate to and click on the “Gear Enchanting” section. Once you click on this you will be sent to the Gear Enchanting overview page. Here you have three options, you can select Level Up, Transfer or Trait.
Level Up Gear in Throne and Liberty
Click on an item that you wish to level up for your character in Throne and Liberty. Now you can see your weapon progression. You need Growthstones to ugprade your item. For example our Dagger needs “Weapon Growthstone” with a grey quality at the moment. Because our weapon is grey quality. Growthstones exist in all qualities and the higher the quality, the more difficult it will be to get them.
When you press the “Level Up” button it doesn’t mean that your weapon will reach a new level. This is a bit confusing. because you might need several tries to get a weapon from level 0 to level 1. This is called “Equipment Growth Rate“. You need to reach a 100% growth to get to the next level. That means if you are super unlucky and you get 3x Common you have to use three Weapon Growthstones that each give 35% Growth progress to finally reach the 100%. If you are super lucky you might get the SPECIAL chance that will instantly level up your weapon.
Equipment Growth Rate (100% Grow Rate = Level up):
- Common: 40% chance to grow 35%.
- Intermediate: 30% chance to grow 40%.
- Greater: 20% chance to grow 60%.
- Special: 10% chance to grow 100%.
It is always worth leveling up your Gear, because you can also later transfer progress to the next quality.
Transfer Gear Experience
A level 3 grey weapon is more powerful than a level 0 green weapon. Now 100% of the material equipment’s EXP will be transferred to the target item. That means when you transfer the EXP of a level 3 grey weapon to a level 0 green item, it will reach level 1 green item.
A green level 1 item is more powerful than a grey level 3 item. You can continue this later with blue and purple quality as well in Throne and Liberty.
In the example below you can see a level 3 grey Armour being used to instantly reach Level 2 with the green quality armour EXP.
